Didn't manage to beat her (only tried 3 times though.. I had to check the other submitted games as well and had little time). Yeah I agree you might want to tone down the respawn at the end or at least restrict the spawn of ranged bats. I'm liking your plan for the game! 馃榿

I always liked game where you managed different chars/powers (Kid chameleon, The lost vikings, crusader of centy, etc) so you get a big thumbs up for that! :) First sign breaking the 4th wall? more thumbs up! :D i did miss some bad guys to shot on so i hopping you can add them in future iterations of the game.. I got soft stuck on the screen with the 3 moving boulders and 2 rows of spikes.. got there with only the waterboy (yeah im calling him/she/it that! :D) so i couldnt go back or pass the spikes. Keep up the good work!
Code related: after bing hit by a moving bolder on top you can sit on it like an elevator! fun stuff! ^^ if you double jump right after stepping on spikes you can pass walls.

Bats attacking a vampire!? Literally unplayable! :D Jokes aside i love the art on this one! I think the respawn after hitting spikes should be a bit more forgiving. Got my ass handed on the bat boss since when we was low he spawned 3 consecutive green bats that zerged me down! Witch is a good thing no?! Games that create stories for the players that play them! Throw in a story and more content and i would gladly pay money for a future iteration of this game! Nice job guys!
Hey! When i started i immediately thought "no enemies!?" but then as i played it really fits in the theme since the character is struggling within. very chill atmosphere! you should consider a mini map and maybe a bit of dialog when getting the memory fragments. Good job!

Congrats! Seems like the most complete metroidvania of the bunch! Liked the effect of having low air on the graphics and the overall atmosphere of the game. The hp bar and air bar is a bit unforgiving to the player but i guess l2p (learn to play) can be invoked in my case! :D

I liked your game a lot and i applaud your courage to get 3D objects manipulation in the game. The music was also good for setting the mood. A bit more polish on the mechanics and maybe on the textures and you got here a gold nugget :)
Also enjoyed the THICCness of the main character! :D

Loved the art and the idea of a boxing metroidavania. With that said i think the enemies are too strong (or that the number of enemies around the captain is high) and I'm not even talking about the boss that i can see in the gifs so i'm guessing he is a behemoth :D

P.S.: Code related - When going through a screen using a attack the starting orientation is the opposite. In other words, if you get to the end of a screen and keep pressing the attack key you will jump between screens.

I like the minimalist tone of the game and the overall idea. I would rethink the pickups graphics because they seem a lot like something you wouldnt want to touch! :)

P.S. : Code related - Pressing up and down in the air repeatedly allows the player to fly and makes the teal pickup obsolete :D

- Pros:
- I would definitely play/pay for a metroidvania with this aesthetics.
- Cons:
- I kinda understand your decision to not have music but the silence in conjugation with the multiple "burpers" can get a bit annoying.
- I cannot recall a metroidvania with a life system like you implemented.
- Not fan of being thrown in the air after i hit a "beetle"... Makes me just avoid them altogether because i feel like i'm being punished for hitting them.
If you are to keep iterating over this game i would love to see something regarding light play.. i think it would go great with your aesthetics! :)
