Ater a few days of testing and rating games this is the one i would be most exited of revisiting if it's updated.

There are a lot of games this jam that had the same idea but this is the first one where you do not control the die itself but another character rolling it. I like the variation there and a (i guess dung) beetle seemed fitting.
I like the art but i can imagine that it would be easier if you would have tiles in the levels that indicate how far the die rolls.
Amazing game! Really very fun and relaxing. There is just so much potential in the game, if you add more units that can travel further or units that can only spot you if you are close etc. I really hope that you continue developing this game. This would also make a perfect game to play on the go (mobile)!
57 turn and a score of 3011.
After that the game got laggy and turn took quite long to feed everyone and sort ressources.
I only had one enemy with 4 health.
There is a lot of room for improvement because the game starts out a bit slow.
Here are a few things i would improve:
- I would just stack the resources and put them in the bottom bar. They just take up too much space after a while and it gets annyoing to sort them on the map or move them away from the resource gathering points.
- Add a feed all button to automatically use ressources.
- Let the mobs move towards villagers and attack them.
- Let warriors move further and towards mobs.
- Change how many hearts get filled by different foods.
- There is a lot of blinking going on :D
Bugs:
- villagers spawn on top of each other sometimes.
These are only suggestions for improvement.
Apart from that this is a great concept. I really liked it but every turn just took up too much time. With more quality of life improvements this would make a great game to spent some time on!
The concept is really cool. Sometimes it doesn't fire next to walls and i think it would play much smoother if the die would accelerate a little faster and you could stop faster by pressing space bar. The enemies sometimes pop in form the screen border with a lot of speed already. If you see them late it is really hard to dodge.
I think the reload mechanic is really nice! You have to pay attention to the die and can manipulate how many shots you fire really well if you know the opposing faces.
Last thing is i wish you had some direction indicators for enemies that are not in range. Level 3 takes a while to complete because you have to search for enemies.
Overall a great game! I really like the visuals.
