Hi there, I liked the different take on a top-down shooter, I didn't quite make the link to the theme but enjoyed the graphics, gameplay and the challenge.  I liked not being able to see the enemies on screen but that can be disorientating searching for the viruses.  I wouldn't have minded a UI indicator to point me in the right direction tbh.  I liked the inclusion of a shop - that was a nice touch.

I think I might be your 20th reviewer (hooray!) - so this is a shameless plug to my game, if you get chance to rate and review it would be appreciated :)

Good interpretation of the theme, would have liked more control over the chaos and maybe have a kill count and a timer to add some strategic element to it instead of mass destruction at the end.  Perhaps then a leaderboard to add a little competition - who doesn't like to see who's killed the most! Ha!  Still, it was fun to wreak a little destruction.

................. scratch cat for president  :D

Shame about the launch error, wanted to throw some chickens around! Is that a good thing?

Music was cool.

If you get a chance to play/rate mine it would be appreciated.  :)

No problem! Thanks for reviewing my game too!

Hi, thanks for playing and feedback - glad you liked the intro & I do like the idea you mention below - the final version was supposed to be more cohesive but time ran out to do much more and I think that disparity does show.

Hi, I really like the game mechanics here controlling two separate robots and having to keep them both moving adds an interesting twist to the puzzles. Graphics and gameplay work well and I think it fits the theme nicely too.  I wasn't a massive fan of the music, a little too up-tempo for me, but I am getting old so maybe that's the problem ;) ... but overall really enjoyable to play - good job.

Shame about the bug on export - shame as the music and graphics of the start menu were good and I was looking forward to giving it a go.

There have been some really good entries all around in this jam, great to see what everyone has come up with in only a week - if you get a chance to check out mine it would be appreciated.  Many thanks!

Oh no - not sure what's happened as the game isn't showing! Just says "The developer has not uploaded a game yet..."  :(

But still I'm getting quite a lot out of playing submitted games (some are really good)

If you get the chance to play mine and rate/review that would be great! Feedback is welcome and encouraged.

Thanks for the honest feedback! Much appreciated and thanks for playing!

Hi, this is a good idea and quite fun and would be possible to scale up if you wanted to - perhaps Jeff could be heading between banks and his hideout - bonus points could be offered perhaps(?).  The leaderboard was a nice inclusion to the game too.  I did lose track of Jeff's position a few times with the particles being generated so made it more difficult to know which cops to shoot at first!  But overall the game all hangs together nicely.

No problem! Thanks for reviewing my game too!

Hi, I enjoyed playing this, graphics are simple and effective, the soundtrack is good and the mechanics and strategy of trying to create as many reds as possible by strategic placement of the 3 types was interesting - I managed 612 as my highest score.  The addition of a leaderboard was a nice touch and added some replayability.  Bit disappointed to miss out on the top 10.

Perhaps some variety could be added (walls? etc) to give a few different scenarios and leaderboards for each - but with the time we had this does the job nicely.

Well done.

Unfortunately, it looks like I don't have anyone to play with at this time in the morning - ha!  Such a shame, would have liked to have a play - if I get a chance to come back and give it a go I will.

But great job on going for multiplayer!! That must have been a tough job to implement in a week!

If the hide and seek mechanics work it would probably be possible to implement a "Battleships" type of game which would be very cool!

Oh no - not sure what happened as no games are showing :(

It's a shame your game wouldn't run (same errors in console as Pachwenko below) as it looks like a good idea and would have liked to have given it a play! If you do a re-upload feel free to drop a reply to the comment and I'll give it a whirl.

Hi hookmanuk - l like the title, after some zzzz's I'll play it...

My game is here: https://rainbowjellygames.itch.io/haos-mountain

Same - I'm trying to give honest feedback on all the games I play too but I'm prioritising games where comments and ratings have been left on my game page first (sharing the love) so come check it out if I haven't got round to playing yours yet.

I'm confused - but here ya go  https://rainbowjellygames.itch.io/haos-mountain :)

I've just given it another whirl and I think it's actually the enemy ship spawning sound rather than the firing noise that's at quite a high pitch.

Yes to the enemy bullets, it just feels like some of them move quite slowly in relation to the player - worth experimenting to get pace vs difficulty.  Perhaps faster bullet patterns but more waves of them?  Just a suggestion to experiment with perhaps?

No problem - comment feedback and rating given!  Please feel free to give mine a play too :)

No problem! Feedback and rating given (btw great game!)

This is a really nice polished game that fits into the theme well - love the simple graphics, which can be a bit of a problem if the other elements of the game don't hold together well.  The random element of the dangers/bonuses changing every 13 seconds makes it interesting for multiple playthroughs and it seems balanced to give challenge but allow improvement - the different elements stop it from becoming too dull.  Perhaps you could experiment with grouping the randomness by difficulty to give advancing difficulty but that might destroy the feel of what is a great arcade-style game - well done.

Thank you for playing and the feedback - much appreciated!  I agree there is a slight disconnect between the intro and game - the differing art styles is partly to blame but also what would have been nice to achieve and what could be achieved in the time was also partly to blame!

Thanks for listing the browser, I've managed to replicate it in my Chrome browser but doesn't appear to be on every playthrough - something for me to look into :)

Hi, I like the concept of this game and the changing viewpoints as that gives it something more unique.  The sound effects could do with some tinkering as I didn't like the firing noise which was a little too high pitched for me.  I also found the bullets are quite slow to move across the screen, would be good to speed up that element of the gameplay.  I do like the morphing ships - that's a nice touch and to pull this together in a week is a great effort - well done!

Thanks for playing and the feedback - yes, after some late playtesting I noted checkpoints would be a nice addition that never managed to get added - think it's something that would have really helped players make it a bit further.

Yeah it is a bit brutal around the 2 - 2.5k mark - it's a section that I did make easier (but not quite easy enough - ha!)

Good fun game, think it was a different take on the theme that worked well.  Thought it was a decent idea to use a smartphone to create dissent and probably quite true to life!  I think it's got lots of scope for improvements and additional gameplay and a good starting point to carry it further if you wanted to.  Wonder whether you could require the player to build up connected territories first but allow side missions to create dissent internally within the enemy's own territory and lowering their army power.

Lots that can be done with this! Well done.

Hi Mike, sure, would be an honour - game link below

Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked it! Much appreciated!

Hi, great job. what a wonderfully enjoyable game, I wasted about 5 secs on level one as I didn't notice the arrow at first.  Still got a time of 63.70 - like others here my biggest complaint is that it ended so soon.  I really liked the mechanics which allowed you to strategically infect a few cells and send them hurtling into others while you go on and wreak havoc elsewhere!  Everything fit together really well.
