In what way does your game fit the theme?
The game is a free falling chaotic decent through a mountain into Hades. You have been cast in by the goddess Chaos herself!
Did you write all the code yourself and made all the assets from scratch?
Yes, all the code and main core graphics but other assets, such as sound, and the main introduction images, were not.

This does not even start like a game jam gam, it looks a lot more polishd and projessional. Really good job. I also liked the music. :)
The intro is very good and I like how there is a bit of story before the actual gameplay. While playing I kept thinking to myself wouldn't it be better if I died before I get to Hades ? I don't think there will be sunshine's and rainbows there waiting for me.
The control are easy and I like how the gameplay gets incrementally harder.
The music sort of changes from one side of my headphone to the other and i noticed using surround sounds helps a bit.
nice concept ! straightforward controls and nice art, especially in the intro, it has a solid story to it, good replay value, overall I enjoyed playing, great work!
fun game and I liked the atmosphere.
Took me a few deaths to understand the horizontal arrows, but overall a solid falling game. Music sounds well composed, though I won't add another comment outlining the mixing issues
Nice game! I managed to get passed 1'000 ft, but I had to unfortunately mute the game due to the music often playing in a single ear. It is the only major issue I noticed with the game, but it is an annoying one and can lead to people getting off the game or mute it quite fast.
Minus that, I quite enjoyed it and I am really wondering what happens when you reach the bottom :)
Nice free-falling game!
Nice job on a solid free falling game. My only issue is that the audio will often only be playing in one ear depending on which side of the map I'm on which isn't really pleasant. But otherwise, nice game!
I really liked the intro, felt a little let down when the gameplay didn't seem very related to it. Perhaps could do something like Catherine where the enemies tie into the world you created in the intro.
Hi, thanks for playing and feedback - glad you liked the intro & I do like the idea you mention below - the final version was supposed to be more cohesive but time ran out to do much more and I think that disparity does show.
I liked the intro how the story ties it in. Feedback wise the realistic female images and the cartoony style character made it feel separated. I like the game and a well designed flow.
I like the references, even if modified, to greek mythology. The audio is annoying because the music is 3d and only plays in one ear. Other than that, good job.
I'm not gonna lie, the audio is less enjoyable than listening to The Beatles with a single earbud. I also don't really get the robots that you encounter during the fall. Aside from that it's a nice interpretation of the theme.
Thanks for the honest feedback! Much appreciated and thanks for playing!
Cool controls, cool backstory, but I was really distracted by the audio. The 3D audio effect is a cool idea, but the implementation is way too exaggerated so it kinda hurts one ear whenever you move throughout the game. There was also a bit of audio peaking that was very distracting.
Thanks so much for playing and feedback - very much appreciated! Yes, I'm going to have to play around with audio a bit more in future to achieve the desired effects, keen to sort that out as it makes such a difference to the overall experience.
Very atmospheric intro and music, but the game doesn't feel much like the intro. Maybe you could replace the tileset and player character with stuff cut from photos?
The game plays well, and is mostly fun. It feels like memorization is the main skill for this game, since the level never changes, and you can't react quickly enough to hazards by the time you see them, so you have to remember what's coming. There's a lot of trial and error.
The sound distorts sometimes. I'm playing in Chrome browser.
Thank you for playing and the feedback - much appreciated! I agree there is a slight disconnect between the intro and game - the differing art styles is partly to blame but also what would have been nice to achieve and what could be achieved in the time was also partly to blame!
Thanks for listing the browser, I've managed to replicate it in my Chrome browser but doesn't appear to be on every playthrough - something for me to look into :)
Nice game! This really could have used some sort of checkpoint system as it is somewhat demoralizing to get put at the start for a little mistake, perhaps health could also be a good solution to make it a little more forgiving.
While the 3D audio is cool, I think it was a little too extreme since the first part of the game is mostly on one ear, and if you keep losing you will constantly just hear the music on one side.
I liked that theoretically there is an ending point and that you point it out but I wish the game was a little easier lol, I only got to around 2500.
Thanks for playing and the feedback - yes, after some late playtesting I noted checkpoints would be a nice addition that never managed to get added - think it's something that would have really helped players make it a bit further.
Yeah it is a bit brutal around the 2 - 2.5k mark - it's a section that I did make easier (but not quite easy enough - ha!)
really cool and surprizingly addicting! the "3d" music was a great touch
Thanks for playing, I'm glad you liked it! Much appreciated!
Great! Thanks for the feedback, it's very much appreciated! Yeah, I completely agree with the graphics point - the stock footage was sadly due to the time constraints as I wanted to include a little extra "story" to the game but didn't have time to draw the assets myself. The unused space above the camera is a great point - I would have preferred to have better camera movement in general, it's a bit stiff overall but having further for the player to see would have helped gameplay I'm sure! Thanks for playing and if you do come back and make it to the end let me know :)
This is not very chaotic but an interesting idea. I was expecting a bit more graphical finesse after the intro and the sound glitches are very strange. I had fun falling for a while, though :-)
Thank you for playing! Yes I agree, the original idea was a free-falling "bullet hell" which was supposed to be more chaotic but time got the better of me. The music glitching is strange as I haven't had that in testing before - thinking a browser compatibility issue? Which browser are you playing on? It would be nice to take a look and see if that's the issue.
I played on Chrome and the sound was randomly switching to mono.
Great - thanks! Yeah there seems to be a few bugs with audio that weren't picked up - I'll have to take a look into that a bit more to see where that can be improved! Thanks for the feedback and info - much appreciated
Overall its good. The sound glitches when I try to restart. But overall its good :)
Thanks for playing! I've not had any sound glitches in testing, good to know it's happening! What browser are you playing on out of interest?
Thanks for playing! Yeah - in playtesting that part came back as hard so I dialled it down but still think it will stump people - shame as there are some zones just after that section that flip the gameplay movement so it's not always down and also one that speeds the movement x3 for some later sections. Thanks for the comments and feedback, much appreciated!!
