This is such a cool game! And great use of the scaling and de-scaling to alter the layout of the roads. I like that you can make mistakes by not letting normal cars through and instead of getting directly punished, you just lose the chance of increasing your high score. Great job :)

True ending, yesssssss!

Also great platforming, it was as fun as it was short, thanks!

Scale-head! Fun game, I like that bananas can be good or bad haha

The parallax looks amazing! Everything in the game does, I just didn't expect that sort of polish from a weekend game jam, great job. I wish there was a "floor" or something to know that we are getting to the bottom of the run

This game is so beautiful! I wish I could use the fruits or rocks to beat monsters somehow

Cool idea and pretty challenging! I would love to see more objects being scaled and rotated other than just cubes in the future :)

This game was fun! I kind of wished there were more levels, it had been such a nice challenge

Pretty cool take on the theme! I think the angles from which you look at the piano make it hard to know what is going on, but other than that it was all pretty fun. Playing the scale at the end is awesome when it's perfectly in tune and also when it isn't hahaha

This game is super fun! I like how you interpreted the theme into planet sizes and the gravity they each have. It would be helpful to have the mouse-cursor line curve with the gravity to make it more useful, but it's also pretty useful as is

Thank you for saving the kingdom, brave and tricky Fat Cat, the Jelly Knight will forever be in your debt

Thanks for playing our game! We have noticed it's hard to understand the mechanics at first, we are considering better levels at the beginning to introduce the mechanics and replacing the colors with something more intuitive (like rock-paper-scissors).

It is interesting that it felt like cheating, we definitely want to avoid that as we keep developing this game. Thanks for the feedback and for saving the Juan and only Jelly Knight

Thanks Joe! The "only one" was more around being able to take one hit and enemies only having one weakness, which fit perfectly with being able to absorb one projectile and then the rock-paper-scissors mechanic for one weakness. Being able to finish every level with one shot was something we added in the end as a sort of easter-egg

There is a way to complete that level with a single move, if you get hit with a color that you would beat, you reflect it back, so you can use your enemies' bullets against them ;)

Thank you for playing our game! If you have any more feedback let us know, we would greatly appreciate it

Thanks for the feedback 21st! We do need to make the ladder more obvious or think of a better progression mechanism. My roommate tried your game and stayed up all night trying to figure out how you were managing to keep the same word in his computer even after deleting the file, reinstalling and restarting his computer, it was great haha

The Jelly Knight will forever thank you for your heroism!

Thank you Jannik! We originally used the mouse to prototype faster and ran out of time to set up a more decent way of moving 😂. We do need to work on better controls, thanks for the feedback! Any other suggestions for our next iteration?

The Juan and only Jelly Knight will forever be in your debt, brave warrior

Thank you SimpleTeam! We are glad you enjoyed our game, the Juan and only will forever be in your debt

This was really fun to play, thanks! At first I thought that just having one jump would just make platforming unnecessarily tedious but it actually makes for a super interesting and almost puzzle-like game, specially after you realize that you can jump midair.

We also made a game and would love your feedback! If you think you have the courage & wits to help the Juan and Only Jelly Knight recover his human form, the challenge awaits you here

This game was really fun and addicting! My roommate and I have kept beating each other's highscores  for over an hour now and decided to take a break to rate your game before going back to destroying his score haha.

Thank you inspirational pineapple! You really pushed us through those last few hours when we started seeing the games others had already submitted and ours still looked terrible. We love you too. This is the game we made, in case you also love the Juan and Only Jelly Knight and you want to help him recover his human form, the challenge awaits you here

This is so cool! We were also considering making a game for only one playing but quickly discarded it because we couldn't think of a multiplayer game that could make sense with just one. You nailed it! I also really liked the style to look like an old TV. 5/5

This is the most original use of the theme I have seen so far with limiting yourself to finish it in 1 hour hahaha, it was pretty fun to play, too! I'm impressed you pulled this off in just 1 hour including the animations and the momentum mechanic!

You could say we did ours in 1 day (we didn't sleep while the jam lasted! I don't recommend it) and would love your feedback! If you think you have the courage & wits to help the Juan and Only Jelly Knight recover his human form, the challenge awaits you here

You had a super cool idea! It sounds really interesting to play a card game with only one card, I also really like the catstronaut hahaha. Let me know if you end up uploading a working build, I'm interested to know how the one-card mechanic was meant to play out.

I really liked your game! It feels so good when you throw the shard, I even forgot I could move using WASD after a while. The only thing I would change is to make it more apparent when you can't use the shard anymore when you don't hit an enemy or wall.

Thanks for the feedback Matheus! We will make levels at the beginning to work as an auto-explanatory in-game tutorial to avoid using text, specially to make the color mechanic (strengths/weaknesses) easier to learn.

The Juan and Only will forever be in your debt, brave knight!

This is awesome, thank you so much! Juan looks dashing in it, so exciting to get our very first fan art!!!

The Jelly Knight (and our team) will forever be grateful, brave warrior

We are glad you enjoyed our game! Juan, the Jelly Knight will forever be in your debt :)

I was thinking that instead of shortening the transitions, you could just let players press any button to skip it and that way there is still enough time to read if necessary

The first impression was of only being able to press each key once, I thought I would be going around in rectangles all the time, but I was pleasantly surprised by all the cool elements you put into the game :)

Ooooh, yeah! That looks awesome! I would personally get rid of the text and let people learn through experimentation, specially since it is something new and shiny that makes you want to go see what it does and the new lines make it super clear where it takes you to.

I'm glad to see that you're still working on the game, I think this one has a lot of potential

We made this game where the idea is that you are a jelly that has to shoot enemies with a rock-paper-scissors mechanic using colors (Blue > Red > Green > Blue). Every time you get shot, you absorb the color of the bullet and then shoot it back to try to defeat your enemies. Since we only cared when things made contact with another, we used Triggers for everything.

Anyway, at some point during development we decided it would be cool for the bullets to bounce around and to reflect them once you were hit with the color that is weak against you. But we had already used Triggers instead of Colliders!!! And time was running out!!! And we hadn't slept!!! So... we hacked collisions and bounces using recasts after each trigger 😂

It was horrible, we are not proud, it's a bit buggy, but it worked! And I honestly think our game has potential to become a real game someday. But before that day comes we'll rebuild it from the ground up using collisions for everything. Lesson learned. Here's a gif showing off our super awesome Trigger physics haha. You can play it at the link above and give us any feedback and ratings here :)

In our game you play as Juan, who lost his body and was transformed into the Jelly Knight! You can absorb colored bullets from enemies to gain their properties shoot them back on a quest to recover your human form!

If you think you have the courage & wits to help the Juan and Only Jelly Knight recover his human form, take on this challenge.

Don't forget to rate the game here  & thanks for playing! You can play the game in your browser, or download a Windows/Mac build.

Whoever sees this comment, go see dzamani's game, it's super cool: https://dzamani.itch.io/the-only-neone

(After you play and rate ours? The Jelly Knight needs your help!)

This is an awesome game dzamani! I had so much fun playing it and planning out my moves before charging forward to the goal hoping I got the timing right. I gave you a review and comment on your page. Thanks so much for yours!

Seriously great game, if it came out on some platform I would download it without a doubt.

Oh, and cool pun on the title haha

This game is great! At first I didn't think it could really yield cool gameplay but you definitely proved me wrong by introducing the enemies, teleports and recharging-things. I like how even though you have all the time in the world to plan out your moves, it still feels like there is a lot of action going on when you move close to enemies because you can't let go of that button until you get to where you need to. The only thing I would add is a way to be able to tell which portal teleports to which other one when there are several.

5/5 all around!

We played your game, it is super cool! I loved how it looks and how every character has their own abilities, I wish we could get to use them more! I guess we'll just have to wait until you release this as a full game :)

We gave you a review, I hope you enjoy our game too!

Your game looks really polished graphically! I wish that the game jam had lasted a bit more to see how each of the character's unique abilities are useful when used together, let me know if you release another version later!

Cheers form the land of the Juan and only Jelly Knight!

Thank you for helping the Juan and Only on his journey! We're glad you enjoyed our game even without the awesome music by the great Eric Lagergren.

I left you a review on your game! It's a cool concept, specially with how previous-yous are a different color and your interaction with them is super important to solve the levels. I felt like the transitions were a bit too slow, specially with how much time they take compared to how short the timer for playing is. Leaving dots of the path is a great idea to remember and calculate the speed of the previous-yous, maybe it could be easier to time things if the characters were fatter? Let us know if you keep working on this game, it's pretty cool

It CAN be done in just one shot, notice that whenever you destroy a triangle with a bullet, the bullet speeds up ;)

Talking about last levels being difficult, yours was INSANE. Maybe not so much "difficult" as super awesome creative. I loved it. I rated your game and left you a comment there too :)

That last level's solution was so awesome!!! Loved it.

I play too many puzzle games and I will always remember that last level as one of the most top-notch creative ones. I kind of wish you didn't have to start from the very beginning every time you want to leave a clone, but I understand why you did that. Maybe starting from the same level you refresh the page from would work?

If you keep working on this and you keep going back to the start (or maybe checkpoints?), you could incorporate that fact to have some cross-level puzzles. Thanks for that last level! :D
