Data folder not found Details:

Application folder:

...../jern_jam_3/The Undying Light

There should be 'The Undying Light_Data'

folder next to the executable

The _Data folder is in there, I just had to rename it with the proper spacing and the game worked :)

This was a fun journey! Not sure if it would be in Earthbound, but it's a clear winner on the creativity side. Excellent riffs/lines, any amount of them could be taken as is for their own track. Well done.

What I like about this jam are the song ideas that are way outside of my comfort zone, and comments that make me think about ways to improve overall. I'm not trained in music theory so chord progressions, solo techniques and such don't occur to me and it seems whenever I try something new, it ends up repeating too much. Duly noted. I had melody ideas for the jug after submission, and the only way to get different "notes" while doing it live was by using the voice, and I don't know how to make it not sound like a kazoo from jug blowing yt videos lol. Thanks for the feedback!

I made it, so yeah, I'll keep it :P

Thanks for pointing out the font, I hadn't gave it much thought. It was made along with the Runes, so I had it lying around and added letters as I needed as fast as I could for the deadline without adjusting the colours any in testing. I'll be changing that for sure. Thanks for the feedback!

A great, original puzzle platformer idea, I was just really bad at it. I cycled through so many cards lol

That's what I was going for, and you nailed the idea behind it, well done! Event animations would've helped but being new, I needed the overall game to work properly first, being relatively new to developing., and that took all the time. A more finished version will make the choices obvious! Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing! I looked up Outer Wilds ost, it's pretty cool and I can see the comparison. I learned more in this jam than I have since I started doing this, so thank you.

Here, take my stars

Thanks for the feedback! I currently have a list of clarity features to add lol

I liked how the Reload indicator showed when nearly out of ammo, that really helped. And showing the health on the Boss as a way to initiate each round was a nice mechanic!

The intro was hilarious, hoping the player's "gun" was just their index finger with thumb up in line with the horse, but interesting premise and looks great!

The sounds on the third level really got me into a deep space mindset. Nicely done!

There are tooltips for the rune menu options, but it's not obvious at all ha! Thanks!

No worries, it was an experiment to see if I could convey the intent without dialogue, using symbols, patterns, clues, etc like a riddle.

Fantastic! Brought me back to heyday Newgrounds, obviously modernized. So good.

I had the same error as below for Linux, you need both files included inside the folder you submit.

I caught my own windows build just in time! I wonder if it's in the Mac zip, because I believe the pck is interchangeable and the godot exporter will overwrite the one existing with the new one, since the file name for each build is inherently the same.

That was a neat little fetch quest! The music loop was very fitting.

The climactic cinematic urgency was conveyed well!

It reminded me of On A Pale Horse by Piers Anthony. Great work nailing the atmosphere of the setting.

A bit difficult to keep track of the reticle at times, but a fun, solid twin stick game!

It was satisfying to shoot the eyes. Great concept.

Panic mode simulation. Intense stuff!

Very fun!

Thanks!

The NG influence is possible! I made sure nothing was clipping, though haha! It could also be the tin-ny guitar and the mono mix.

It has a great, authentic funk line running through it.

The sax solo is great!

I get glimpses of something that's difficult to latch onto but somewhere in the experimental soundscape there's moments approaching something Great.

Funky dungeon synth! Nice!

Yeah maybe a bit from the impression I got since he moves at half tempo, and also for sound texture.

It seemed to drown out the other notes when mixed any louder. Thanks!

I don't find Conan funny at all. This game simulates his show perfectly. Genius!

I think that's how this site handles godot 4 games now, this could've been made with an older version.

Loved it

Great music choice and fun animations!

I got pushed off screen while in the slime room of the sewers by a couple of the small slimes and a fly and the screen didn't change to the room I got pushed into. There were slimes on the far right ledge when it happened and the fly helped to push me out, then followed while damaging me off-screen. Entering the 2nd screen over to the right, with the platforms, fixed it. I was able to replicate it again as long as there was a small slime on the ledge blocking and bumping me off-screen.
