Thanks Brett! Your book has been a very valuable resource to learn DragonRuby. I've started following your book and ended up making a totally different game!

I've loved the concept and also the execution. Ther physics of the shopping cart is just awesome. Pixel art is also very nice and the effect of the car vibrating is awesome. Overall I think the difficulty is well balanced. The only thing I would like to see as an improvement is the possibility to skip the cutscenes and non-game screens. Of course they are all very nice (words and images) but after multiple try you want to go directly in game. Very nice entry though! Looking forward to seeing more games from you in the future!

Nice concept and ideal music for the atmosphere. I like the hints that the game provides to the player to guess which clock is the right one. Perhaps improve logo and start game button so that they are less blurry because the game itself is way more polished than those. I would love to see it expanded to see more variety of clocks or even scenes! Thanks!

Hey LeslieLlama, thanks for playing and for your feedback! I've thought about auto-fire but ended up keeping it this way to balance the difficulty. I'm considering it as a power-up though. Let's see! ;)

Good old Ironman Super Offroad vibes here. At least for me! Looking forward to try it!

Very interesting! I like many things in this entry: responsive attacks, lore/starting cutscene, music. I think it deserves to be expanded. In that case you might want to fix the fact that it is possible to have the camera upside down. In any case I had strong Metal Gear Rising Revengeance vibes here so much love for this game. keep it up!

I didn't know that game but from what I see the comparison makes sense! Thanks for playing!

Thanks for playing and streaming! It was cool to see someone playing my game live!

Great pixel art, color palette and music! I can see this game improve by adding more variety to the rooms and of course more foes! Well done!

Beautiful! Haven't beat the game yet but the concept is very cool and well executed! Keep it up!

I can beat only one boss for now! red one is hard core ahahah! great entry all game design based! make more bosses and more good games like this one!

Sooo good! Make this game bigger! ;) I like the machanic of replenishing ammo with the gnome bat! also the 2 sec without killing thing! good job!

Gubby you are a game design expert! With simple graphics (even though the color palette is well chosen) you succeded in making an addictive game with a unique (at least for me) mechanic. I wish I have these skills! I see you are great at game design also from how you managed menus, game modes and funny in-game sentences. I have no suggestion for you except to keep it up!

Still can't beat the boss, tonight I have to try with a controller as suggested! I will get there. The lance mechanic is a great idea and both art style and music make you wanna play this game more and more. Do you plan to expand on this? I can easily see how addictive it becomes with more levels. Why do <i have to go to work now?!?! hahaha

Thanks for playing it and for your precious tips! Player feedback was something I’ve tried to implement during the game jam but it was a very buggy implementation and I ended up removing it until I understand how to properly do it. The engine is still new to me…Definitely on my to-do list.
Leaderboard is a cool idea for replayability and retro/arcade feel. I should look into that!

I will try to replicate the bug you mentioned to fix it. This is totally unexpected. :(

Finally I’m also an arrows guy more than wasd, so rest assured that my games will always have that ;)

Thanks!

I’m so happy that you liked it also being a fan of your games. The plan is actually to improve and expand on it. Not before playing more other entries though ;)

Hey, thanks for playing! I’m considering temporarily powerups to give a little rest to the player while keeping the current pace high :D. Btw your game is very good!!

hey Gubby, haven't thought about the piercing mechanic actually but it seems ton of fun! thanks for suggesting! as for the difficulty I've received contrasting feedback which confuses me on what to do. some people found it fair, others couldn't make it to the portal. i wanted it to be challenging but not unfair.

Thanks for playing! Do you think the difficulty/button mashing level is too high?

Btw I still have to play your game! I’m playing a few every night… Looking forward!

Thanks anonalpa for the great suggestions. I think those will be my next improvements. Do you think the player should know the exact amount of hits required to activate the portal in advance?

Hello fellow DragonRuby developer! :) I like the vacuum mechanic! keep it up!

Thanks for your kind words! Will definitely consider to expand it, at least adding the boss fight after that :D. The score to activate the portal is not that much higher than yours. if you approach it as if it would be a space shooter you'll beat the game in no time!

it's awesome! difficuly level is very well balanced! it also feels responsive! it reminds me games of my childhood but with more modeerm pixel art style! Well done!

Thanks for motivating me! Also looking forward to meet you in the next game jam!

Wow! Woooow! I don't even know what to say! I would love to see devlogs of such a unique game! you have a new follower!

Thanks for playing! you got very close to activate the portal! Veeery close! Also thanks for the suggestions. there is a lot to improve and definitely hud is one of those. you mean that right?

Nice game with great art style! I love the pixel art!

Wow the first card game I can understand ahaha! Btw 2 games in a game jam..not bad! Well done, VN!

Definitely! even with the 20 sec limits it has its place because you feel in a hurry like the yourn croc :D

Game mechanics and art style are both awesome! Well done! I'm going to play it more since I haven't beat it yet!

Another gem of yours. Memorable (art) style. I still need to finish it though. I'm going to disable the timer and enjoy all of it!

Ooh! Thanks for trying it!

Nice!!! are cats giving you hints?! I don't know but the time I had this thought I beat the game :D Very well executed and btw I've now realized that you are the developer of Sword Saint! Keep it up!

Well made and fun as usual!

Poetry!

Noice! Plus art style and color palette are very cool! keep it up

I like both the idea and the implementation! good work!

This game is awesome! You nailed the way the witch is floating and ultimately you made a game that is actually fun, which is the whole point. Love the pixel art as well! I need to work hard to make a game of this quality one day and also to reach the top of the leaderboard! keep it up!
