Instant favorite of the jam. This game is genuinely incredible and hits all of the right spots for me. Amazing presentation, really fun platforming with great controls, music that does a great job throwing you into the atmosphere, very solid writing, and just the right amount of psychological horror. Aside from maybe throwing one or two extra checkpoints into some of the game's longer sections? I genuinely don't have any criticism to give. This is one of the best jam games I've ever played, and I think it fully deserves to place first overall.

also cat planet cat planet omori cat planet

This was really good. There's a lot of storylines interwoven here and they all manage to fit together, and I like all of the different angles this game takes in regards to relationships. Also the fujoshi thing was really funny, this is my new headcanon for Ichirin and no one will stop me.

omg luyuu hi. big fan of your work. little rabbit princess is still one of the best VNs I've ever played ong

really glad you played it and enjoyed it!I also really appreciate the criticism, so I'd actually like to go over a few points:

- my thought process with the stupid Harry Potter joke was that since CoLA already heavily references outside world material, throwing shade at a book from 1995 felt in character, but honestly I could almost certainly come up with a better joke than this anyway so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

- the medication thing is technically in reference to canon (the butterfly dream pill, this is only ever referenced in a print work from 2005, yes I'm serious) but I'm only just now realizing that this line is kinda phrased poorly in context lol. the things that make me wish I had more time to get the script proofread!

- I think the swearing thing is like entirely down to personal taste/tolerance/whatever and your take is completely fair. my thought was since I was actively basing this off one of the darkest works in all of Touhou (Dolls in Pseudo Paradise is not a fun time for anyone involved) I could turn off the filter just a little bit. ultimately whether or not this was a good decision I think purely comes down to opinion tho.

- there are multiple endings to chapter 2 actually! but they're not attached to items, in fact the alternate ending inversely is actually about skipping content. there's a couple items that originally would've played a more important role but ended up just being flavor text and tbh I'm pretty genuinely tempted to revisit the puzzles entirely now that I'm no longer on a time limit. they didn't cook as well as I wish they did.

- I see the celeste vibes now that you mention it actually. goated game. one of my all time favorites.

again thank you very much for playing this! hope you have an awesome day

I don't really have anything to say that others haven't said better for me. This game is just really goddamn good.

Really good, well balanced shmup with excellent art, nice backing music, and an entertaining script that nails these two little bird fellas. Definitely a stand-out game for sure.

5 stars across the board. Absolutely banger entry. Reimu's final pattern can go suck it but it's also one of the coolest things from this jam sooooo

11/10. Peak. Words can not describe the power of b l o r b o

There's a really neat game in here, but the luck based elements on terrain/bullet placements kinda kill it for me. Feels like there's too many really awkward if not outright undodgable situations that can crop up, and the fact the first 75% of the game is really easy except for the random walls doesn't particularly help.

Would be really curious to see what this feels like with a post-jam update, though.

Thank you so much for playing! I'm really glad you enjoyed it.

I know far too well what it's like to work through anxiety, considering it KICKED MY ASS this jam, haha.

(perfect alternate title for the game btw)

This comment is more than anything I would've expected for anything I was responsible for creating. I'm so flattered, sincerely. I'm really happy my work was able to touch you the way it did. Thank you for playing!

I'm glad you really liked the story! Me and Kenshin went a bit back and forth on what to do with this game until we decided on this main duo. I suggested this thought it was a really fun idea, and I also just really wanted to write Enoko lol. Definitely tried my best with this one :P

Played the game, got to the very last rock I needed, realized my tower was falling, tried to fix it, failed, and then this happened.

honestly a great game I love this lmao

As an unironic huge fan of ice puzzles in video games: this was really fun! Not very hard imo, but I still felt properly engaged the whole way through. The amount of blatant references to Pokemon are also really entertaining. I genuinely burst out laughing when I got to Level 14 :P

Overall, a very nice game for a jam like this.

this game destroyed my brain and likely several others with its writing

11/10

This game has legitimately amazing execution of one-button gameplay, with fantastic remixes that REALLY got me immersed into the experience. Going to agree with others that this is winner material right here.

mmmmm yes I'll take existential storytelling for 1000 alex
