IMPROVE AND CHANGE AS A PERSONLTG - Creator Store

Hello yall. Me and my friend are working together to make the game, do both of us have to join the jam and submit it under one account or should just one of us join?

ah unfortunate. Wish I would've gone there sooner. I'll play it later tonight.

A couple of things. I really like the color palette you chose. Idk what else to say about that, i just like it.

The art itself is nice however the ground textures seemed a bit muddled to my eyes after playing for a while. Could just be me.

I like the different kind of items you can buy at the shop and I like having these sorts of choices. However on my run that beat the game I did like 7 rooms before the shop so I ended up being able to buy everything, which can throw the balance a little bit if you give the player everything they want.

I wish there was more sound effects for stuff like hitting enemies, walking, general idle of enemies or protag, but I understand that there were probably other priorities in these 9 days than sound design.

Other than that, great job! Hope you enjoyed developing the game :)

simple, fun for a lil bit. Theme is a lil surface level but that is quite alright. What you did here is still something to be appreciated :)

5123 :)

Hello devs! Just wanna say that I really really enjoyed this game, hope yall enjoyed the making of it!

I really enjoyed the fast and challenging aspect of the game, specially in the last couple of rounds of the final level.

The music was good and represented the music you'd hear in NES games and things like that, however I feel that speeding it up (albeit makes sense with the mechanics), plays up with the pitch of the song a bit too much and sometimes felt a bit dissonant, but that's just me nitpicking.

Love the artstyle too! You did a great job, Pixeliivii! Can't comment too much on it, I'm not that well versed in pixel art things

All in all, great job to you guys for the work you put in!

Unfortunately the game didn't work for me and my friend. :( Hope you at least had fun making it! If there's a way i could try again and work, id definitely give this one more try.

Really awesome! I thought I wasn't gonna play too well but I guess having lots of hours in Isaac really helps you in these types of games. One of my fav games in this jam :)

Really awesome! I personally really liked the card strategy game aspect (new to these sorta games), and it really puts me to think about my moves! Love having a bunch of little kobolds to take care of. Charming names too! After the jam is over I will play it a bit more to get to the ending.

Pretty fun! Although to be honest, I don't like reading because i'm bad at retaining information through it but it might just be me.

haha

if it was a lot brighter it would lose atmosphere unfortunately.

Haha I'm glad that this game we made was replayable for you. I personally wish I could've made the lighting serve as a bit of a guide to monsters, but I don't know how I could've really done that. Maybe different colored lights? Either way, thanks for playing our game!

I can understand your frustration! When I playtested towards the end of the jam I did notice the environment could've had a bit more lighting to be able to even see the design of each room. Hopefully, in the future, if I'm working on lighting, I'll thoroughly playtest it.

Thanks for the feedback!

First things first, I really appreciate the music. Both the calm and battle songs are awesome in their own right, calm one with voice type harmony relating to how you're fighting your emotions, and the battle song having a kind of crunchyness to it, which really fits the sound effects and visuals.

Second, I really like how compact the game length is, yet still has a good amount of complexity.

Third, great use of theme :)

great job guys, hope yall enjoyed making it.

I'd really appreciate if you did! please provide feedback on how we did :) do note, one of our sfx is really loud and broken so please turn down the browser volume if you can :( https://azriel14.itch.io/stplague
(1 edit)

Please check out our game! I'd love to get some feedback, specially on the song I worked on. Warning that one of the sound effects is said to be to loud though so make sure your volume isn't cranked up :p

Great implementation, great level design. I really love how you can jump in midair when you use the skills + having some skills be used in midair. Hope you had fun making this :)

REALLY FUN :) full thoughts in the game jam comment section

Unfortunately I do not know russian(or whatever the language is, I am not particularly cultured :< ), however seems like it'd be fun!

truly the first ever poo-like game

I actually really enjoyed this! Was interesting and engaging all the way through and had a fun and challenging final boss! Hope everyone in the team had a blast making this :)

Error: Couldn't load project data at path ".". Is the .pck file missing?

I would really like to play the game however when I download it, it comes with this error.

Do you know how to go about fixing it? (plus I can't play on browser because for some reason playing games on browser for me just doesn't work well :< )

Thanks for the feedback! I'm glad people are enjoying the atmosphere and its creepiness. Also wished we could've implemented a map in time, but alas it didn't come to fruition :(

Simple and fun for a little while! I'm personally not a huge fan "trying to get high score" games but it really fits the game jam format.

As the other commenter said, it could use a wave system to be a little more intricate. One thing that could've been cool as well is if the enemy shapes had different weapon types or whatever, but I understand it would've been a bit hard to implement in such a small amount of time.

Otherwise, fun lil game! hope you had fun developing it :)

Omg I'm glad you enjoyed it! Seeing the scary factor go up as we were developing it was definitely rewarding haha

that's awesome! I wish you good luck through this jam :)

me and my bud just got our idea :)

my guy making games is hard

Very polished, very fun game, a lil difficult on the final level but that must've just been me. Wish you guys luck in the jam!

i like the dark souls reference

I loved the gimmick of having different boosted jumps/dashes to complete challenges. Plus I think the cutscene at the start is pretty funny

I like the idea! The puzzles weren't overwhelmingly difficulty which is something I appreciate but (as a lot of people are saying), the vaccum noise was a bit overbearing. Really cool otherwise!

press 1 and 9 for a cool surprise :)

i like when the funny robot get stuck in a funny way

really like the music and the artstyle, the last fight was a bit hard but that's what you'd expect of a last boss

I think it's a bit too late for this jam but if anyone has the motivation, what about a pokemon battle simulator, except every battle is a tag battle (doubles but you control a pokemon and an AI controls the other in your team)
