You've done a great job implementing all the RPG staples here - being able to choose and build your character stats is really nice. The level progression feels quite satisfying too. But what really lets it down is the level design - I know the maze is randomly generated but I played twice and each time it was just a series of very long vertical strips with very few connecting paths between them, so I had to spend ages finding my way through. I searched for what felt like quite a while and never found any exit to the maze. I would have happily played longer if the maze was much shorter or if it was more deliberately designed to be more enjoyable to explore. If you do work on this further, I think you can have a really solid RPG on your hands :)

This is really cool! At first I assumed it was some straight-forward platformer demo but when the core mechanic kicked in I was really taken by surprise :) Definitely an impressive showcase and an enjoyable game.

Thanks! I agree that the game could really use a map. When laid out, there is actually not too much branching in the levels, but it's hard to keep your bearings from room to room.

Thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed it! When one of our team suggested using Sonic Battle as an inspiration for the visuals, I wasn't sure if we'd be able to pull it off, but luckily I found some really useful articles online that helped me get it working.

Yeah the gameplay was originally intended to have a lot more elements to it, but we simply ran out of time so I had to stick to very basic mechanics - we hope to flesh it out a little more in the future :)

Aww thank you!

Pretty cool! My final score was 763 with 7 missed beats :) Reminds me of Audiosurf in a good way.

Thanks for playing! I was never sure how hard it would be since I already knew all the solutions from the start 😅

Thanks for your kind words! I'll have a look at adding in the Mac/Linux releases of DOME in the download as well.

Thanks!

You're absolutely right! The Splinter Cell games are some of my all-time favourites. Was definitely inspired by that :)
