We did do all our own art!! We had 2 artists working together, me and Karurosu (a2karu), and it was our first time doing voxel art with Magicavoxel. I'm so happy you like our art, thanks for playing and leaving feedback!!

Absolutely, I was playing Bloons TD for reference when trying to design the game, and I think the way they slowly ramp up with introducing new towers every wave or so is excellent. Definitely ideal for our game if we ever go back to address it. Thank you so much for the feedback!! Also LOL I'm glad the title did its job

Hahahaha I love seeing people's reactions to the name. 100% the game kinda throws you into the fray way too soon, if we had time tutorial would have been the next thing we did for sure. But I'm glad you took a chance on our game and played it, thanks for leaving feedback!!

Haha thanks so much!! Yeah ran out of time to invest in a nice tutorial and gradual ramp up, the game kinda just throws you in atm. But most people can beat it in 2-5 playthroughs. Good enough for a game jam prototype, we will do better next time :p Thank you so much for playing and leaving valuable feedback!!

Thank you so much for playing and leaving feedback! Yeah we definitely did not have time to focus optimizations, if we ever go back and iterate on this game we will def look into it, thanks again!!

Thank you so much!! I'm so happy people like the name lmao, and also very proud of our art and overall concept as well. Appreciate the feedback!

YAY! Thanks so much for stopping by and playing and leaving feedback, really appreciate it!!

Haha thanks so much!! I'm very proud of our game name and main menu xD Yeah we didn't focus on optimization but definitely understand there is some negative impact due to it, thanks for bringing it up!! I'm so happy you enjoyed playing it!

Yeah if we had time we would definitely want to make the Upgrade menus larger with the descriptions, we were running out of time near the end :( I've added the descriptions to the game description at the bottom to help a bit but we definitely know it's a struggle in-game. Thank you so much for stopping by and playing!!

Thank you so much!! Appreciate you stopping by and playing!

Haha thanks so much for playing and leaving feedback! Yeah for sure if we had more time we would have loved to do a more slowed-down hands-on tutorial.

Hi! Thank you for letting me know, and apologies for the late reply, I have reuploaded the files and also made a new web embedded version. Feel free to try either of those out and let me know if you still have any issues!

Really neat idea and execution! I think getting stuck on the brain ridges really frustrated me at first, especially the ant level, because it was very tedious for no reason (I wish the neurons were closer in that level) but it got better for the rest of the game, and it was really funny to see the animation of the next animal eating it. I also enjoyed the vastly different perspectives and controls for each kind of animal. Really well done for such a short game jam!!

Super cute and well done for 48h solo dev!! The end screen is hilarious and relatable :')

Thank you so much!! I will definitely pass on your kind words to him!

Haha thank you so much for playing! Yesss as soon as we thought of that soundtrack we could NOT get the idea out of our head and we forced our composer to make an insane cover for it LOL. I'm so glad you enjoyed it, just as a heads up we are aware the game is quite difficult / impossible after the 4 minute mark so we are rebalancing it and making it more fun while still challenging and will update a new and improved version as soon as we are allowed to!

Thank you! :D

Haha that's some high praise, thank you so much for playing and leaving feedback!

Haha thanks so much for the feedback! Glad you enjoyed the game! I agree, Major is super cute!

Thanks so much for playing and leaving feedback! 100%, we did not have time to work on the tutorials during the jam, but in the future it would be nice to do so! Thanks so much!!

Thank you!! Yeah we did some last minute balancing that made it way too hard ^^' We're fixing it right now and will update the game after the jam to be better! Thanks so much for playing and leaving feedback!

Very vibey and excellent usage of assets! Simple but well polished, great job!!

Super cute art and music/sfx! Really well done for such a short jam, I could see this game being taken even further after the jam if you wish!

I LOVE THIS GAME! The idea is super good and it's very well executed for this short of a game jam. There were some minor bugs I experienced when placing the pieces (at one point one of my pieces glitched into another while placing o-o) and the zooming in effect was a little dizzying, but overall really well done!

Thank you so much for playing and leaving feedback! Totally agree, we have a bunch of ideas we didn't get to because of the short jam time :( But I really want to implement them eventually and also come up with some new music related mechanic that is unique from VS. The rhythm game idea is intriguing, I don't think we considered putting that in with this one o-o Thanks for giving us some great ideas and feedback, I really appreciate it!

Yeah we made the game too hard when they come in :') We're going to try fixing it now to update the game after the jam! Thank you for playing and leaving feedback! So glad you like Major, we also think he is very cute ^^

Thanks a bunch for playing, so glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, we did some last minute balancing that made the game too hard near the 4-5 minute mark :') We are tuning it down in our local version of the game and we'll update the game after the jam with (hopefully) better balancing. Thanks so much for taking time to leave feedback, I really appreciate it!

Thanks so much for playing and leaving feedback! Very happy you enjoyed playing it :)

Great game! Cute mechanic ideas, reminded me of the game my team submitted for this jam a bit so I wanted to check yours out :) really neat graphics and neat puzzles! I could totally see this as a fully polished game with faster char movement, some background music, and more sound effects. Well done!

Thank you so much for the in depth feedback! I'm so glad you appreciate the little details and polish we put into the game, we had a lot of fun making all the art/music match that cozy atmosphere! Very valid feedback on the large rooms, appreciate you calling that out. Maybe we can go back and make some levels more zoomed in / take up less tiles if there is less going on in a level. Thanks again for playing and taking time to comment!

Ahahaha we had issues with Godot physics which led to us hardcoding the ice block xD Thanks for sharing this funny bug, we have had several fun bugs with the ice block that we will try to fix after the jam. And yup we already have the coyote jump fix in on our end! Just waiting for the jam to complete so we can update the game! Thanks so much for leaving feedback and I'm so glad you found the game fun!

Beautiful peaceful game. Loved the art and the unique fishes and the animations, was super fun to play! A minor nitpick would be to make the wording more clear, like I didn't know what the difference between "lots of oxygen" and "plenty of oxygen" for example meant. Awesome game!

Thank you so much for the kind feedback!

Haha, sorry your world record got interrupted! Would be cool if we had a speedrunning leaderboard  But thanks for leaving your feedback! I love your refreshing analogy, it made me smile :)

Yesss firegirl + waterboy was one of my personal biggest inspos when working on this! Yup the jump issue has already been fixed on our side, we are waiting for the jam to complete so we can update it :'D Not your fault at all, many people have been experiencing it. And yeah the transformation sequence seems to be the most confusing gameplay mechanic, we couldn't think of a neat way to explain it in the game besides some tutorial levels but it seems like it's not enough. (+ the sunflower / iceflower assets are a lil confusing) But thank you so much for leaving such great feedback and I'm so glad you enjoyed our game! Thanks for playing!

Oh very interesting, thank you for sharing that sample! I'm not sure the exact method to fix it for the browser version but I'll keep it in mind when we make improvements to the game. Appreciate you taking the time to record it and get back to me!

Yay glad you liked it!! Yup that is definitely something we want to improve, we have already added a coyote jump to our game locally and will update the game right after the jam :) It should fix most of the jump issues. Thanks for the feedback!

Yeah I think I was trying to make a fire flower that did not look too much like the mario one, then thought "well a SUNflower could represent the SUN (heat)" sooo that ended up being the design but I totally see why so many people are confused :'D Thank you for the feedback, I'm glad at least you enjoyed our game! Yeah our tutorials were a little unclear, especially didn't know when / how to best introduce the R button. Was easy to miss, not your fault! Thanks again for playing and leaving feedback!

Thank you for the valuable feedback! Yup the designs for the transformation was not too clear, that's probably on me :'D But thank you so much for telling us as we will improve going forwards, and I'm so glad you liked the game overall!

Haha that would have been amazing, but it's already very good!
