Neat game! And honestly who isn't tired from working on the gamejam :') ! Ya did your best tho, and that's what matters. The game is awesome imo, the collision box for small items seems to be a bit smaller than expected but otherwise the mechanics work pretty well, I look forward to more levels post-jam if you're planning on it! :))
I'm thinking about remaking it in a different style and tweaking some mechanics to make it more of a puzzle game. I don't see myself expanding this version but I'm glad you enjoyed it thanks for the feedback.
I love the feel of the game and the controls. There's also a lot of levels considering the timeframe you created the game in. :O Very well done!
I think we were playing each other's game at the same time. :-) It is a nice platformer -it is quite hard to make one that feels good because there are so many, and people are very demanding and it takes a long time (that's why I never tried to send one for a jam)!
This one properly fits the theme of scaling up and down, but as probably you have seen, many people have chosen to send similar things. I would encourage to keep tweaking your game after the jam to make it more juicy and polished, with things like: smoother animations or with more feedback when using the glass (e.g. a tween to change the size), tighter controls (a keyboard only binding, maybe? Go crazy with feedback: screenshake, larger animations, etc) and jump tuning (gravity doesn't feel great). My guess is you didn't have the time to tune those in 48 hours (something similar happened to me), so I'm not having them into account for my rating. Also more levels with exploration of interesting combinations of the main shrinking and growing mechanic.
One thing that I think you have is your great humor. Please keep exploring that. I checked your other games and while they were not as technical as this one, they were very creative. I would like to see more like those, with the same style!
As a tip, try if you can also the Godot 4.3 single thread web exporter, it went much better for me this time, and may fix user's problems with some browsers!
im so tired too )))): lol
I really enjoyed the theming of the scaling mechanic - usually it's some sort of raygun or the like, but a magnifying glass is something I hadn't see up until now! Well done!
The music in this game is kinda a jam! Really excellent job making all the assets in a short time period!
One piece of feedback I have is it seems like there's a minimum distance you have to be away from an object to change its size? I had a tough time getting a response out of some of them until I ran away.
Your end screen is super relatable, awesome job and take a rest!
yeah if I had more time I would've made better indicators but you're right u need to be at least a little away from an object.
well done! thats more than just a guy with a hat ;)
Interesting concept with the magnifying glass, I just wish there was more to do. The levels feel a bit too simple. Being able to only move boxes when they're small could be something you could play with and make some interesting levels.
Best guy in a hat game I've played! Hope you got some sleep!
Super cute and well done for 48h solo dev!! The end screen is hilarious and relatable :')
Cute little game, if a bit simple, but I can definitely feel the effort that went into this!
I am in full agreement with your end screen!
A fun little platformer with a lot of potential! Give it a bit more time and youll have something awesome! (And please sleep this time XD)
Very fun! Short and sweet, I like it!
And, after reading the ending screen, I hope you slept enough once you were done!
Pretty good game! The idea is basic but well implemented!
The very nice game you've made! Well spot on the theme, simple, and fun to play. Made it till the end.
PS. Can relate to the final message lol.
nice game, just seems not so finished. but I like the idea and the music
yeah I started pretty late and needed more time, thanks for playing
Really cool concept, the hitbox felt a bit weird sometimes.
Great job!
Love the dev message at the end, lol'd
Awesome, humorous little game. Great work!
Doesn't seem to work for me...
