The game was really comfy, and I really enjoyed playing it. had some difficulty with the blocks of ice stacking and the jumping felt a little off. Excited to see what you have in the future!

Developer

Thanks so much for playing and leaving feedback! Very happy you enjoyed playing it :)

Nice! I couldn't get past the level with the ladder and the web as it's not possible to come out through the web after getting the key. After restarting the level enough times to try again, it wasn't even possible to go in through the web anymore either. I tried only on the web build.  Since I enjoyed the game a lot, I may consider trying again on the desktop version if I have time.

I really liked the beautiful pixel art and nice mechanics - I thought you did a really great job on this one!

Developer

Thanks for playing! Assuming you're talking about the level 'All about Vines', the hint there is that you don't need to necessarily click on the flower after you collect the key :) Thanks for the feedback though! Perhaps we should wait until later to introduce red herrings and mess with the players' minds.

Also, you can go to the level select and select any level to start at! We made sure that all of our levels were unlocked just in case anyone got stuck.

I played it again and figured it out - I really liked your game, I think it might be one of my favorites - really great job on it!

This is a great puzzle platformer. The art is really great and I like the rain effect. The puzzles ramp up in difficulty pretty nicely without getting to be frustratingly difficult like I find a lot of puzzle games towards the end. Adding coyote time to the jumps would make them feel better, it felt like my input was eaten on a couple jumps. Great job on this, I usually give up on puzzle games halfway thru, but I played this one til the end!

Developer

Thanks so much for the feedback! Yea, we've taken note of the coyote feedback from other reviewers in the game jam and have implemented it locally; we're just waiting for the jam to be over so we can do an update. Glad you enjoyed the game! Seeing that you stuck it out till the end really means alot :)

The art is great, and the controls feel solid, and the sounds are satisfying, if quite muted, even sedate, which makes for a sleepy feeling, a completely relaxing experience. Attention to the little things separates this entry from most of all the others. There being more than just five or so levels is good stuff. The couple of levels I consider to be a bit harder add quite a bit to the game, and, I am glad the whole game is not that hard. I felt like some rooms are unnecessarily large, requiring dull time spent getting places. Which is, perhaps, my impatience speaking

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the in depth feedback! I'm so glad you appreciate the little details and polish we put into the game, we had a lot of fun making all the art/music match that cozy atmosphere! Very valid feedback on the large rooms, appreciate you calling that out. Maybe we can go back and make some levels more zoomed in / take up less tiles if there is less going on in a level. Thanks again for playing and taking time to comment!

Very nice idea and execution ! Loved the puzzle effect when you sudenly understand what you were supposed to do !

Developer

Thank you so much for the kind feedback!

Magnificent. The reset button should be somewhere far from the interact button though. I hit it too many times by accident and ruined my world record attempt. But still refreshing like a glass of lemonade on a hot day after mowing the lawn. 👍

Developer

Haha, sorry your world record got interrupted! Would be cool if we had a speedrunning leaderboard  But thanks for leaving your feedback! I love your refreshing analogy, it made me smile :)

i had so much fun with this game :D!! the graphics were beautiful and the music and sound design were really immersive!!  the game mechanics were really clever and reminded me of waterboy and lavagirl in a sense that u needed different elements for different puzzle mechanics, but its still really unique and added a  new dimension to a puzzle platformer. im not sure if its a skill issue of mine but it got a bit frustrating to jump around cuz im not sure if the jump key was being registered ^^; and i guess for a while i got confused with the transformation sequence since at first i thought sunflower -> dew, blue flower -> mist/ice, but it appears to actually follow a sequence, like first transformation would be dew-> mist, mist-> dew, dew-> ice, ice-> dew??? or something like that? its a bit confusing and i think visual cues for transformation would be really helpful. nonetheless i enjoyed this game a lot and it's really pretty!!!

Developer

Yesss firegirl + waterboy was one of my personal biggest inspos when working on this! Yup the jump issue has already been fixed on our side, we are waiting for the jam to complete so we can update it :'D Not your fault at all, many people have been experiencing it. And yeah the transformation sequence seems to be the most confusing gameplay mechanic, we couldn't think of a neat way to explain it in the game besides some tutorial levels but it seems like it's not enough. (+ the sunflower / iceflower assets are a lil confusing) But thank you so much for leaving such great feedback and I'm so glad you enjoyed our game! Thanks for playing!

Loved the game! Very cute and clever designs, relaxing choice of music.

Though it did tick me off sometimes when the jump key did not register sometimes.

Developer

Yay glad you liked it!! Yup that is definitely something we want to improve, we have already added a coyote jump to our game locally and will update the game right after the jam :) It should fix most of the jump issues. Thanks for the feedback!

That was a very cool platformer! The puzzles, art, and music were very soothing and fit together really well. The animations were very slick. My favorite mechanic was the puddle teleporter, and I also really liked the blowing leaves scene transition. All three character states were very clear and distinct too, and were a very creative take on the theme.

I did get a little confused in the early levels by the flowers/ice mechanic. I thought they were all one way changes at first, and didn't really understand it was a "hot/cold" state transition based on your current state until "Crossroads".

I also didn't learn how to reset the level by hitting [R] until after I had already broken the game by going backwards during that level and refreshing the whole page :*(

Really great job!

Developer

Yeah I think I was trying to make a fire flower that did not look too much like the mario one, then thought "well a SUNflower could represent the SUN (heat)" sooo that ended up being the design but I totally see why so many people are confused :'D Thank you for the feedback, I'm glad at least you enjoyed our game! Yeah our tutorials were a little unclear, especially didn't know when / how to best introduce the R button. Was easy to miss, not your fault! Thanks again for playing and leaving feedback!

Managed to beat all lvl, loved the experience and the use of the theme. Really clean designs. I would say that some puzzles were a bit frustrating as I ended up having to reset because I was soft lock. I felt sometimes lost between the transformations (maybe a UI to indicate which plant gives which transformation ?) so when I failed the puzzles it felt a bit unfair.  Anyway that's just me nitpicking. Insane work and great diversity in ideas really good job loved your game, congratulations !

Developer

Thank you for the valuable feedback! Yup the designs for the transformation was not too clear, that's probably on me :'D But thank you so much for telling us as we will improve going forwards, and I'm so glad you liked the game overall!

This game is beautiful and fits the theme in a unique and fun way ^_^

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!! We came up with many ideas for the theme, this was our favorite! Glad we ended up going with it :)

Game is so  beautiful, aesthetically pleasing with the music, but also it's extremely fun with well thought out puzzles and game mechanics. I love the idea of using different elements to change into different forms and their unique abilities. All the levels were well thought out and very very fun to figure out as someone who really loves puzzles. Hoping to see more levels in the future :D

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much for the kind feedback!! Really happy to hear you enjoyed the puzzles, I was afraid it was the weakest part of the game since none of our team is particularly strong with puzzle design (we learned a LOT while making them!) but it's such a pleasant surprise that people have been enjoying them. Hopefully after the jam we can make even more fun puzzles for this game if we have the time / energy :D Thanks again for stopping by and playing our game!

I like feeling small in those 2d scenarios, almost like playing celeste traversing through those 2d arenas...

but also more like the messenger in level design perhaps ...

a lot more cozy in all other ways

Developer

Yesss we got some inspo from Celeste for this game, even though they are a more action-y platformer for sure! Thanks for the kind feedback, I'm so glad you like the feeling of our game layout and that it was cozy!

Submitted(+1)

A very gorgeous game, I'm digging the cozy feel.

Developer

Thank you so much!! I'm glad to hear we nailed the cozy vibes!

I like the pixel art style.

Developer

Thank you so much!!

it is so so impressive how much content you guys packed into this small game! the overall aesthetic is gorgeous -- i love the environment art especially; it's really well polished! the puzzle platforming mechanic was fun and really well integrated into the theme! the art for the different modes the player character has is all so so cute <3 the only thing for me was that it was kind of hard to remember which objects/sprites corresponded to which mode since they didn't visually look alike - could be a skill issue but it definitely took me some time to get used to,  but the level design was very clever and made figuring it out fun! overall, super cute game that was a lot of fun to play :D

Developer(+1)

AAAAA thank you so much!! Yep we had some other playtesters give similar feedback, it was tough trying to make it aesthetic and also make sense / be cohesive in terms of the form transformation design. So glad you had fun though even with that difficulty! Thanks for playing!

Submitted(+1)

The game design matches the theme very well!! Also well level design!! 5/5 Rated!! Feel free to rate my game also ~

Graphically fantastic, very nice art. Platforming could be a bit more responsive but the puzzles were fun!

Developer(+1)

Thank you so much!! Yes 100% agree; we added a bit of coyote jump after submission and think it helps; we will update the game upload after the jam to include it!
