thanks a lot!! :D

Thanks a lot! Yeah I also have in mind a mobile version would be dope :D Thanks for the honest feedback! News about the game coming soon

thank you merry christmas too! wtf is happening xDD

Thanks a lot!

Hey! I am really not into horror games so I only played it a little bit. But wow!!! This art style and ambiance is so great! Definitely the most unique visual ambiance i've seen in the jam! Everything looks eerie and gorgeous!

Gameplay-wise, I started to understand a few enigmas. They felt quite good, even though I didn't do a lot. Maybe carrying only one book at a time feels a bit restrictive but I think balancing-wise it's hard to do more for a dev cycle this short :3

Overall I am very very impressed, great job! 5/5 on almost everything :D (couldn't understand the cliché, maybe it's related to something I didn't discover yet)

Congrats!

me playing without audio :

maybe i should call it a feature 👀 thanks for the feedback!

Good concept! Physics & controls feel very tight, level design is rock solid, congrats!

However even with all these qualities, it was quite a frustrating experience. For instance, you can't micro-correct your horizontal position when you don't have available the go-left or go-right move... so in multiple occasions, the micro-mistakes I normally correct in a classic platformer, i couldn't correct and it made the game flow very punishing. Maybe you could find workarounds for all these tiny cases?

Otherwise, great music, as I said the concept is very good! And it looks like it has a ton of levels which is impressive. Congrats!

Very fun one! I couldn't defeat last level but i enjoyed a lot your game!

I would have liked to have some more insight on why am I shouting a specific sentence, what does the colors mean, etc. I think I grasped a bit of what the hierarchy between sentences is, and how they eventually die after hitting opponent's sentences, but more visual explanation would help i think (UI, etc).

I enjoyed a lot the evolution towards climax when the pictures gets blurrier and red-ier, it feels absolutely insane! (Please add screenshake on top :p )

Congrats, I loved it!

Very clever concept! It reminds me on how Splatoon refreshes a lot the FPS formula, here you are doing a similar reinterpretation but on 2D shooters! Great experience, i liked it a lot :D

Super engaging and fun idea!! I lost first time and managed to win on the edge second time!

Everything is very well made and polished, that's super nice!

I had a few issues reading the arrows in the coffee drinking phases, maybe there could be some modifications making them easier to read!

Overal very very solid and fun, congrats!!

ok i finally understood ^^' great work, i'll go in more details in the jam comment!

aaaah okay i thought i had to wait for pop-ups to spawn

Sure i'll try again!!

Really nice game! I feel some Isaac vibes... 👀 The art is cool, the gameplay is nice, wp :)

Overall i liked it, though after some time the music started to be bothering. Not a matter of style but of load i guess :/ Also I found that I couldn't pick up bonuses with the pizza weapon.

Great concept! I liked a lot this little economy and risk management strategy :)

I found however the slow-ness of the UFO to be quite frustrating, especially when there starts to be a lot of units on the ground.

I think you have a great concept and a good execution for only a month tbh!

Congrats!

wow :o was this really made in 1 month? It's an incredible amount of content!

I don't have more to say than "woooow" or "omg", that's really really impressive. I think the economy is broken (i could go from 0 gold to 500 simply by trading cannons at a port) but it's a side problem i guess. Congrats to the team!

(1 edit)

I love the concept but can't play your game... for some reason i have absolutely no visual indicator of what key to press :/ Is this a bug?

Great game! Very simple but efficient :) Everything is polished and well made

I have 2 little negative feedbacks:

- for some reason the audio was very low, i had to put my pc volume much higher than usual

- i started playing with a controller but it quickly felt bad, switching to keyboard & mouse made the game much much easier. So both experiences are not the same

Very cool game!! The concept is really rich and full of potential. Watching the city evolve was at the same time satisfying and threatening, which is a very rare sensation in video games haha ^^'

I managed to win, I think very very close to losing?

Strangely it reminded me of my own game because the gameplay is quite similar : phases of automatic action with decisions to take in between ^^'

A few remarks :

> I think with more gamefeel (camera controls, people walking down the streets, seeing workers do their things, etc) it would be really fascinating to watch the city evolve.

→ I would also need a bit more info on what is the current game state. Like : current estimate of how much time is remaining for the construction, a preview of how my suspiscion gauge will change according to the hovered card, etc.

Though that's all nitpicking given the short time of the jam !

Congrats on your game, it is very unique!! 5/5 innovation :D

oh okay seems more feasible with this material indeed!! Great work :)

I had a blocking bug preventing me from playing :/

When going to the sink, I clicked an item in the UI and the sink disappeared, making me go to the FPS controls. However, it didn't remove my mouse cursor so my FPS rotation was limited by the edges of my screen... I hope it's an easy fix!

Nice concept, with great voice acting. Unfortunately it was hard to understand the mechanics of the game, and when understood it felt like they were not really a puzzle game? Because one simply has to cut cardboard boxes and get the surprise of what's inside solving the puzzle on its own. :/

Cool idea! It was a bit hard for me to understand under what circumstances directly shooting at my reflection caused me to die and what circumstances allowed to me to do so.

Great concept and it was nice to have multiple levels! Congrats :D

Dumb and fun i like the concept ^^'

The movement speed was so high it was hard to control, and having a great tactic consisting of staying at the edge of the map might be topics you can improve upon!

Otherwise, clean concept, great music, well done overall! :)

Unfortunately the game is locked at the loading phase in browser, and I get the intro text in PC build but cannot go further than that :/

Hey! thanks a lot for your feedback!

That's indeed something I wanted to address but didn't have time ^^' I'll look into it in the future! :)

10 days :o impressive! you did all the art, programming, design and audio? or you had some asset banks?

thanks a lot! yeah performance issues are known :/

Cool concept! It was hard to understand at first without explanation but eventually I got it working.

Maybe a bug with controller input, but on many starts I died instantly.

I liked the variety of horses and the evolution of a game, was very interesting to see all these cool effects!

High score 105 😎 (pretty sure that's bad)

Very very cool!! The concept is so simple yet so effective! I love all the richness of the combat design, with all these different winning and losing situations!

I would love to see a more polished version, as currently I felt a bit like I couldn't really control tthe different combat outcomes, but it's an insanely great concept already (+ 1 month only, quasi solo, wow it's already such an achievement!).

Really big GGs!!

I got lost in the maze 😅 Graphics concept is cool! The shooting felt a bit strange, as I didn't have any feedback on my hits or opponent's health gauge. Overall cool experience!

Very cool concept!! I like it a lot!

I got stuck at this point, i think it's the game's end?

In my experience the attraction mechanic was a bit buggy, but with a little more polish it can prove great to control! I also think you have a great potential for very very cool gamefeel with these magnets.

Congrats!

Interesting concept! I liked that you got inspiration from a traditional game, it's rare in the video game medium :) Well thought game and actually fitting the theme litteraly, which is the first game I saw doing this :) Congrats!

A little feedback as well : I had a bit of an issue with the orientation control in the phase where defenders are trying to rebuild the flip flop pyramid, it didn't felt really intuitive.

From what i can see i think it's unfinished?

If my assumption is correct, then here's my feedback!

I think you got a pretty good basis! The art is nicely done, controls feel great.

I would advise you to think about your sword attack : it has a long recovery animation / phase, where you are vulnerable. For a basic attack it's quite original, making the commitment to an action very important. Which isn't bad, just has to be integrated in the hole combat design and creative vision! And as the ennemies are visually simple bats / flying big eyes, it is a bit counter-intuitive for them to be a real threat.

Anyways, congrats on all this! You managed to build a great character controller, efficient level design, nice art, it's already a great amount of work!

a bit short but i liked it x) good take and shitpost at the same time (should have uninstalled itself tho)

thanks a lot!

Thanks a lot dear shitpost specialist! :D

thanks a lot!! I am happy the intro did it's job ^^'

thanks!
