Got level 200 and beat the game!....

You said I only had to get to 20?...

Oh.

(Running at 2 frames a second is painful, anyone who wants to beat that go for it, but that's all for me.  I also had a complete white out, but kept the wrong screen shot, hence the single blue pixel.)

Excellent and thanks for the response!  Sounds like you all have a pretty clear assessment of things that need to be updated and change : ).  Hopefully we'll catch the updates as they hit.

Really great concept!  One thing I'm not clear on is if the rules are ANDs or ORs.  Seems like OR?  So if it's "Green Cards" for the first rule and "Prime Numbers" for the second, that means a card that is Green, Prime, or both can be played, correct?

Additionally, I feel like sometimes the rules don't work, but I could be misunderstanding things.  For instance, the first card played was a Green 9, but when I lost, the first rule said "Cards that are not Green".

After losing, it'd be nice to be able to see what cards could be played based on the given rule set I lost at, just for clarification, and if I could change Timothy to whatever color/card so that the list would update for the "+/- X numbers" rules.

If you all do an update to this, I'd be super interested in playing.  It'd also probably be a fun party game.

Absolute. Poetry.

Hot dang what a fantastic idea and brilliant execution.  Hopping good time.

Thank you!  We hope to do more in the years to come, and appreciate the kind feed back : )

Nice job on this fellow-frogger entrant.  Simple and could 100% be expounded upon.  The combo system is absolutely a great idea and feels pretty dang good.  Great entry!  And thanks for reviewing ours during the jam : )

Good idea, thank you for the feed back!  We'll try to find a balance that doesn't make it annoying but also not so easy either.

Oh yeah, we barely got ours through the door since we are new to this, so we totally understand.  Less of a "critique" and more of some items to work on if you want to take the game further.  We are planning to do the same with ours since it has a lot of issues and needs more work.

Great idea and great take on the theme!  Very well realized!

From another team who did the frogger take, this is such a creative idea and incredible.  Hope ya'll make top 100!

From another team who took the Frogger route, absolutely fantastic work.  Leaps and bounds beyond what we did and such a cool concept!  Ya'll deserve high marks.

Thanks mate!  We appreciate the kind words and great suggestions!  It was fun to work on so I'm wanting to hop back into fleshing out what we have.  If we make some good progress, I'll let you know.

Simple but fits the theme fantastically!  Oddly enough, it's not the first "you are the mole" game I've played in the Jam.  Very much a game, if only a bit short, great style, and good concept!

Very nice game, great art style, interesting system!  I enjoyed it though I think long term it'd need a bit more to keep my enjoyment level high.  Maybe multiple enemies at once?  Not sure.  Regardless, it's still fantastic and definitely highly realized as a game.

I'm not sure if it fits the theme as well as others I've seen, but that's a fairly minor complaint, especially since it's up to interpretation.

Like the idea a lot.  It became clear pretty early that noise was needed to draw his attention and that'd he'd go right to the last noise he heard (if in range).   But unfortunately, at some point, his AI would stop working with noise, and he'd just ignore it.  I did finally get him to "hear" his way to all 3 clues, but that was after the 4th attempt.  The timer is a bit excessive since you have to wait for it to end and win.

That said, it's still a great concept and fits the theme really well.  The issue I have are just bugs and polish.  With a bit more it'd be great.

The most unique AND fitting take on Roles Reversed thus far.  Very simple, but fun and functional (which is a feat in a Jam).

It's something familiar, but also different.  Works like a game would be expected to.  Obviously improvements could be made, as with any game jam, but this is a *very* well realized game in 48 hours, and the art lends itself fantastically to to the atmosphere.  One of the best I've played during the jam so far.

If I were to give any complaint it would be that it's too easy to accidently forget to setup a defense, and lose because of that.  If the game could remember my last setup, that would be a very welcomed feature.  But that's a very, very, minor complaint in a sea of good stuff.

Love the concept, hope you all flesh it out a bit more after the Jam!
