Good work!
What a cool take on the gamejam theme xD Well done! :D
I love the idea of playing a ghost that needs to guide an IA by scaring it!
It was really fun, but also quite difficult at times to lead the IA where I wanted as it didn't seem to react to noise after some time, and didn't know if the exorcist actually found one item even when he was flashlighting the said item. Maybe some feedback for the player might be nice.
Placing a lot of objects to allow the player to make noise was such a clever design choice, really fun experience overall!
Cool Idea! I think there's a problem with the game logic though, since I stood in front of the priest for a good while before the Fear meter started filling up, and even though I eventually led him to the objects the game didn't end after they were all three found. I also got both endings, because I could still move around after the game ended. Good job overall, though!
Great game idea!! :D
I LOVE the idea! I had a bit of trouble with the priest getting stuck on geometry, but I would love to see a more refined version of this! Super rad!
Heeey this is such a clever idea! I like that it's almost a co-op stealth game with the thing you're hiding from? This is a very fun idea, and I found myself messing around with this one for a while. I like how you highlighted the "cursed" objects with the red light. Took me a while to discover that, but it was a good moment. The exorcist's AI was a bit buggy so I wasn't able to have him discover all 3 objects, but I at least got 1! Our game has a bunch of AIs and they are quite buggy hahaha XD Game jams, amirite?
Congrats on a jam well done!

I really like the concept and well executed.
Thank you!
Cool aesthetic! The low polyness makes me think of a ps2 silent hill game (also the electric guitar ofcourse). I think if the AI of the priest would be as cool as his looks, it would be a pretty fun little game :)
Rad! I'm glad I nailed the style! Thank you for the feedback :)
Alternate title: Dispel Me Daddy
Lol
You get it.
Like the idea a lot. It became clear pretty early that noise was needed to draw his attention and that'd he'd go right to the last noise he heard (if in range). But unfortunately, at some point, his AI would stop working with noise, and he'd just ignore it. I did finally get him to "hear" his way to all 3 clues, but that was after the 4th attempt. The timer is a bit excessive since you have to wait for it to end and win.
That said, it's still a great concept and fits the theme really well. The issue I have are just bugs and polish. With a bit more it'd be great.
Thank you for playing! Yeah, we would have loved to do more play testing but ran out of time.
Playtesting was probably the biggest thing we we weren't able to do much of, so some issues we never found out until it was much too late. I'm happy you liked the concept and actually got to finish the game despite the issues! Thanks for the feedback!
Oh yeah, we barely got ours through the door since we are new to this, so we totally understand. Less of a "critique" and more of some items to work on if you want to take the game further. We are planning to do the same with ours since it has a lot of issues and needs more work.
I really liked this one! Although it has a lot of bugs, I really liked the presentation and the gameplay. It's kinda fast paced, I like it!
Thanks for giving it a try! :)
Hell yeah! Thanks for the feedback :)
Haha,I love the ghost model! I like how the objects tying you down are randomized, though some, like the candle, are much harder than others.
Thanks! Our artist worked really hard on the models! You're right, that was something we wanted to work on but ran out of time unfortunately.
Glad you liked the little guy, probably my favorite model I made for the project! Also we wanted to give the game a little replayability so I'm glad you liked the random objects mechanic.
Spooky Vibes, Love the visuals, gives me some nostalgia of some old PS2 games.
Gameplay is relatively simple yet effective, Itβs fun to play as the ghost and try to get the attention of the exorcist, creative approach to the theme :)
Thank you! Yeah, the visual aesthetic was based off of PS1/PS2 era games.
Glad you liked my art style! :) And our programmers really did do a great job making it fun to move around and smack walls with a shoe!
Interesting concept and very good presentation. However, the execution of the priest's AI was quite lacking. I was making noises in several areas near the objects that I was bound by and he wouldn't look at these objects. It make it extremely difficult to get him to do what I wanted him to do and actually losing seems to be quite hard. If his AI was polished up I could see this be an interesting game with several levels. Keep making games and I'm interested to see where else you go in your journey! Again though, the presentation is very solid, the music is quite good!
Thank you! We definitely could have used more time for play-testing and polishing.
Thank you for the feedback! I think if we just had a little more time for bug fixing, we could have executed the AI a fair bit better, but it's hard to squeeze in the playtesting you need to find game breaking bugs like this because of the time limit.
Cool concept but I had no idea I can pick up things until half way in the game, maybe let player know what are the controls in "How To Play".
Thanks for checking it out! The controls are in the description on the game page, but you're right, we should have also included them in the "How to Play." We weren't able to do enough polishing within the time limit unfortunately :( Thanks again!
Yeah, that was just one of those things we didn't quite have time to add, but left it out for time and just put it in the itch page description. Thank you for playing though, and I hope it was fun after you found out what to do!
Fun game, loved the concept! The fear meter was a bit confusing though, although the spooky music made up for it
Thank you for checking it out! Glad you liked the music ;)
Glad you liked it, and thank you for the feedback!
