These kinds of games are always cool, a bit of clarification and polish is needed but over all it's a pretty good game. The camera was a bit confusing at first, took me a bit to figure out the middle mouse button moved the camera. Also wished there was more detail on who's an enemy, who's an ally, who you're controlling, and what's happening. But it's readable enough to be enjoyable.

I'd give a 5 stars on the duck section of voting, if there was one.

This is absolutely amazing. The game kinda just throws you in there, the rhythm is a bit hard and the dodging is also pretty hard, wish it scaled the difficulty a little bit better. Other than that it was beautiful.

Thanks for playing! I definitely could've chosen a better color set for the text, or just had it bordered in black, I was going to go with a red or some other contrasting color but I felt like it would've looked sloppy for some reason, the text part was a bit rushed. The movement definitely wasn't supposed to move faster horizontally, I think you mean diagonally which in that case it definitely is caused by that. Another mechanic that was rushed, didn't feel the movement being faster in that moment hindered the game so I just went with it.

I absolutely love the idea of this. To the point where I'd buy a game like this. However I'm not a big fan of the music, and the AI isn't that intelligent (wish I could have more drawn out games of this). Overall an amazing job, can't really expect top tier AI in a game jam.

Made in Game Maker Studio 2, I'll update the itch.io page to say that, thanks for reminding me and playing!

Just a general nice game really, I feel like it lacks in a lot of stuff but given it's made in 48 hours you seemed to focus on the essentials. The diagonal shooting seemed a bit difficult, and could use polish there. But over all it's fine.

The card game did confuse me, and the fighting part was alright. The flipping table mechanic didn't seem to work/didn't have a purpose. Overall not bad, the game looked nice and the sounds were pretty good.

Yeah this happens because the collision code I used doesn't quite work with how I do movement, did not have enough time to fix it. You did have 3 lives so you would've just re spawned with your progress still saved, but I could've done a bit more to fix this issue (even just a hack-job patch of some sort). Thanks for playing!

Not going to lie when it said my name it tripped me out quite a bit. Awesome work! The inventory could use some clarification, didn't know the item I picked up was for health, but that didn't seem like the point of the game really. Nice work!

Really simple game, not bad. Picking up items seems a bit impossible since enemies are constantly running at you, couldn't figure out how to actually equip the items. It'd be nicer if they just worked as soon as you touched/grabbed them. It definitely could use sound, I use BFXR for quick sounds during a game jam, and royalty free music to throw in. Over all a decent game, could use polish but still not bad!

I love how juicy the game feels, it's relatively simple but the squishing and transitions felt really smooth and fitted in nicely. The shield enemies were a bit frustrating though, wasn't really sure how to actually kill them rather than pure luck.

It's a really pretty game, sounds fit in really nicely. It's a bit confusing and lacks clarity, going through the walls, getting weapons seemed random at first, camera shakes like a weight, and the enemies are hard to hit. It could use a bit more clarifying and it'd be a fantastic game, love the idea and aesthetics.

Design wise this is great, art wise this is great, and overall it's great. Great!

EARRRRRGH! The torch was really distracting, and everything felt a bit too fast. Overall an ok game!

The visuals and audio were amazing, I wish there was more to do in the game but still awesome work!

(1 edit)

Not a bad game! It feels a bit too slow, walking feels sluggish and running doesn't quite last long enough (also takes up my shooting). It'd be nice if running was it's own separate bar, and walking was a bit faster. Overall a pretty good game!

A fellow duck, it's silly, kinda fun, not really much to it. Not bad overall.

Cool visuals, interesting concept, doesn't quite work as expected though.

I love the visuals and sound design, and the game is pretty fun itself. It does feel a bit slow and the bombs are hard to get away from, and the third level didn't work for me. Overall a nice game!

That was pretty cool visually, there wasn't much gameplay wise however.

It makes me feel like I'm trying to beg for donations really, and I've had people (mostly people I've sent from social media who don't know itch.io well) think they had to donate to get the game.

It would be nice if I could accept donations without having that annoying pop up, I tend to always turn it off because I feel it makes me look like I'm begging for donations. I would like to accept donations, but the way it's done is quite annoying. I'd rather have it as a button on the side of my itch.io page.

I'm glad you enjoyed it!

I spent quite a bit of time tweaking with the player's mechanics, which is in my opinion THE most important part of a game.

They were intentional, not in a scary way though. The entire design of the characters work around hiding and ambushing.

Thanks for supporting! This project was really fun to do, and it seems others are interested. Definitely considering.
