currently the record stands at 191!

This is an incredible game, I enjoyed it so much! the walk thru sheet was a lifesaver.

I like the game and the mechanics, I think expanding on this game would be a great idea! You have the makings for a fun game for sure, I could also see this translating real well to mobile.

LandonZX said it best imo. Some things you could polish if you choose to make continue developing this are: animations, especifically after the dolls (I didn't know where the dolls went at first) and more concise text. I would also love to see some more creative ways to use the mechanics! I think you have a cool mechanic and some amazing art, and with more rooms you could explore a lot of different ways to use them. Maybe having to click and drag a telescope to find a specific constellation?

I had some difficulty understanding the upgrades menu but I loved the art and gameplay! Very well done, good job!

The story was interesting and I liked the mechanics! the controls were confusing at times but I got used to them eventually.

You fit the theme really well, and the graphics are amazing!

I missed a key and couldn't figure out how to go back to get it :(. Other than that I liked the game, the movement felt good and the sneak mechanic was innovative. The art was phenomenal.

The starting text was a bit jarring - perhaps consider adding a background to it and increasing the space between the lines? Other than that the game was fun with an enjoyable gameplay loop!

Very relaxing, I kept wanting to collect more thingies! Good job!

Check out "Jim Dives Deeper"! It's a goofy rhythm game about Jim, a diving enthusiast, diving deeper than he ever has before: https://tomastank3ngine.itch.io/jim-dives-deeper

Here's Jim Dives Deeper! https://tomastank3ngine.itch.io/jim-dives-deeper

Glad you enjoyed it!

thanks for playing! Yes we absolutely agree about the difficulty needing to be scaled, especially at the start - it's one of the changes we have lined up post game jam

Cool mechanics that tie into the theme very well! I would have liked if the dangerous elements (spikes, crystals) were a bit more noticable since there were times that I died and had to take a moment to see what killed me. I was also confused why I would sometimes be able to double jump and sometimes not, maybe it was tied to the momentum. I also would have liked to be able to control my character in the air, if even a little, to be able to micro-adjust my landings last second - but I totally understand if your vision for the game includes not being able to move in the air. Great game!

Thanks, glad you liked it (minus the difficulty lol)!

Haha wow great job! Glad you enjoyed it

The mechanics were simple enough but I can tell there's a lot of depth (pun intended) to them, just another way this game knocks it out of the park! Love the art, sound, and mechanics!

Take a look at ours! See how deep you can dive in this DDR-esque rhythm game: https://tomastank3ngine.itch.io/jim-dives-deeper

Here ya go! https://tomastank3ngine.itch.io/jim-dives-deeper

Well since you asked :)  https://tomastank3ngine.itch.io/jim-dives-deeper

Great twist on the theme! The art, dialogue, and sound design were all incredible and the game was the perfect length for a game jam game. One of my favourite submissions so far!

Thanks! We did have some overlapping problems in an earlier build but I thought we had that all sorted, I'll take another look at it when I can.

Dang that's good! No pressure but mine was 188 if you're up for a challenge ; )

: )

Thanks! We really leaned into the goofiness - our artist did a great job giving Jim a super unique personality. The difficulty can be a bit much especially when you're getting used to remembering the different poses. Some feedback we got was that some people were trying to 'time' the button presses rather than 'holding' the pose, maybe try that? Anyways, thanks for playing!

Glad you enjoyed it, 63 is a pretty good score!

Great game overall! I loved the voice acting at the start and the simple shooter mechanics felt good. I had some trouble with the mouse acceleration but that might have just been on my end.

Ahhh that's right I forgot about the snowplow - I had the same difficulty finding fuel.

The art was phenomenal, as were the particle effects, ui elements, and title screen! Unfortunately I couldn't figure out how to reload my flamethrower (maybe I missed something in the tutorial) so I ended my playthrough after the first day.

A great game considering the game jam restrictions! I really liked the aesthetic and mechanics, as well as most of the level layouts. The tutorial confused me until I saw the "next" buttons, but after that it was smooth sailing!

I don't really enjoy text-adventure games so maybe this just wasn't the game for me. For a text-based game it was a bit jarring with all the grammar mistakes but I was able to grasp the general idea. I think the Ui and the animations are the strongest part of the game, and I also liked that there were multiple ways of keeping notes on the suspects. Overall a good game!

Thanks for playing! Yeah the game is very unfinished and not playable at all, I posted mostly so I could go through the game jam process and I figured submitting something was better than nothing at all. Either way, I appreciate the playtest and thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for playing! yeah this game is VERY unfinished, and you're tip on having a working prototype within the first 24 is definitely what I'll be doing for future jams. This was essentially a solo project and I realized too late my game idea/plan was out of scope for just me in the time frame. If you're interested in playing the final version, I've been working on it since the end of the jam and I'm hoping to have it finished towards the end of next week.
