The hand can only be used to my knowledge to obtain the gun and enter the door to the rift. The rift door will require a L3 Keycard.

I'll have to do some testing but if you can only make the base then I think you didn't find the parasite removal terminal entry in the main lab terminal. Unfortunately  you can't reach that terminal if covered by the squidrabbit. Something in the Manor should be able help you. If I had to guess I'd say to try getting possessed and walking in front of a mirror. You could then try to enter the lab from the manor and see if the scanner door will let you pass. You might need to do that twice and take the secret path to the other bathroom. If you read how to remove the parasites you should be to craft the C-ALPHA. Three of the needed vials are located in various rooms. You need to mix the Protein Base with the purple vial and the other item to get the last required vial. You should then be able to craft the C-ALPHA. Otherwise you might consider starting a new save file where you explore the lab more thoroughly before encountering the squidrabbit.

EDIT: If you get possessed and can open Lady Jessica's Door, then you interact with the door while possessed so that it will let you enter. Enter AFTER the possession expires and look in the mirror. You will have enough time left to get to the lab and to the terminal with the information for the parasite removal. You should then be able to craft C-ALPHA and C-DELTA. The other recipes for the Protein Base need to be found in terminals or after using a specific item located past the squidrabbit.

Which key did you find? Both are static spawns. One is hidden behind something and the other is within a slime.

Use the machine in the center of the room you found Kari in.

Yes but you don't need both unless you really want to open one chest in particular. That chest does does contain a very useful item but there is an alternative way to get the exact same item that I think is easier. Once you have a light source you can explore the basement and the corridor behind the locked door in the East Wing. You will find a way to obtain more than one item with the brush. Aside from the locked doors you can explore most of the West and East Wings no matter what key you create.

You can't explore the basement with a light source. There are two light sources in the Manor. A Lantern is located in Lady Jessica's Bedroom. An empty flashlight is located behind the password locked door in the west wing. Either will work. You will not need the West Wing Key to access the password door. You will need that key if you never found the password.

Alchemy requires you to put in the required mushrooms all at once and then brew it. No need to put them in the exact order.

You use the item that appears in your inventory after brewing a potion to get it's effect.

If you are trying to get True Sight, you eat the mushrooms rather than brew them.

The PC will only attempt the thirsty tree's request if you were caught by a Malice. That quest only becomes relevant once that happens.

That chest is related to the tree that wants a Lilyth mushroom. The Fragile Keys do not work. This is a hint and not the full solution.

It involves the tree that wants the Lilyth. Once you can properly handle one and talk to it, I believe it tells you about something underneath it. If you didn't get the hint after showing it the Lilyth the tree then becomes the one that slaps your butt. The tree that gives you the Crusty Key is the tree you are looking for.

Thanks for responding. It's good to know that this is probably a bug and not everyone failing to do something that is actually mentioned in the Journal.

I was more directly referring to Unnie since as far as I know they are the only person who knows what that method actually entails and if it is even possible in the current build on itch.

You should look more closely at the Terminal in the Lab.

Could you yourself test to see if the total asset abandonment method is working as intended? I can't figure out what would be considered an asset and what is considered abandoning them. The journal is definitely mentioned in Page 18. I went in there with the journal and classification book. I dropped both and even made sure to get my clothing stripped. I tried again with the Journal and a full inventory of Identified Mushrooms. The only item I could not abandon was the needle. Clearly I am doing something wrong but no method of "abandonment" seems to be working.

I knew the list I made would come in handy. The location of Page 15 is hinted at after completing a certain tree's request. If you still require more hints after this I can tell you which tree in particular.

The White Tree has no interactions to make it snow. The C-Remover requires some out of the box thinking to use correctly. There is a buried chest that contains what you need to make it snow. The chest itself is locked and rusty. There are 3 keys that you can obtain in the forest without changing the weather: however you may need to change the time of day. The key you seek is one of them.

What story? There is significantly more gameplay and puzzles currently then story content. It's not like we even have the whole story yet anyways.  The only story we currently have is Find Kari, Find Yuri, Talk to Kari and Yuri about Nanami, Go to mall with Kari, Meet Yuri at Mall, Meet Nanami at her job, The Sleepover, and Yuri's Nightmare. The journal is blank after that. We know next to nothing about Nanami before or after the sleepover. I don't even think that the player can even interact with her at all since the player can't talk to her at her job and I can't find her at all in the school. Kari basically just wants to turn you into a woman. Yuri wants to help you turn back and actually has an interactive follow up scene but the player has to go out of their way to trigger it. Rin disappears after your encounter at the Outpost saying you shouldn't be there yet. The characters we know the least about are Rin and Nanami and we don't have any ways to interact with them. Rin is one of the hardest characters to try to interact with since you have one time encounters that have massive green bar requirements to unlock  dialogue options. If you don't know about them ahead of time, which why would you given that this game is supposed to be difficult, then you need to load an earlier save or start a new one just to further interact with them.

No, the time of day in the forest doesn't matter. You just need to follow an invisible path down from an Orange Tree until you reach a Red Tree. You then go left from the Red Tree and you will encounter the zone with the Harbinger. As long as you line yourself up with the center of both trees you will reach the destination you seek. There are no prerequisites aside from following the path.

I found it. It is very obvious in hindsight but it is incredibly easy to overlook if you don't know exactly what you are looking for in the first place.

Could you say in which particular room this mirror can appear in? I know you've stated it involves the Red Book but I haven't found anywhere to use it. I've looked in both the Library, Basement, and Cabin Basement in desperation since those are the only areas I know that that bookshelves and that floor texture. I even made sure to have True Sight on after the mirror swap. This might be due to a flag missing on my doomed file or I'm missing something incredibly obvious or complicated.

Bring an axe and cut down the colored trees. You will either need True Sight or to be very close to the trees for the color to appear. If I recall correctly there are three trees you will need to cut down.

Find an Orange Tree. Go South from the Orange Tree until you encounter a Red Tree. Go West from the Red Tree in a straight line until you reach your destination. Make sure you are starting from as close as possible to the trunks of the trees and walk in a straight line. If done correctly then you will get there once you walk far enough. For context, sprinting with 3X frame rate still takes a couple seconds of movement past the end of the "path" that will become visible after solving a different puzzle.

Journal Entry 17 has the answers you seek.

Was this a hint to the Red Books purpose or a hint on how to escape the death loop because even after obtaining the items in the Magic Chest again it still traps me once the night ends.

(1 edit)

That looks like the library and I've never seen a mirror in there. Is it related to the Red Book or solving the logic behind actually reaching the end of the library? EDIT: Just saw your post on the other thread.

I think I figured it out but without other peoples results I can't be sure.

I don't know if I ruined my save or just reach the current end of content. After using the items obtained in the Magic Chest, I encounter an endless death door loop at the end of the next dream. Additionally, I have not found a use for the Red Book.

I was able to enter the room on a file where I triggered the mirror Jessica transformation prior and never chose to swap back. I was blond with blue eyes wearing the default outfit and the door let me pass. I was not possessed by the ghost or wearing her outfit.

Alright, thanks.

I believe that I managed to find out the catalyst while testing out all possible numbers in the journal entries.

I can't figure out the logic for the mansion library puzzle. I can somewhat reliably (although still brute forcing) get to the opposite end of the library where there is a sort of golden pedestal but I can't interact with it. I also made sure to bring the Red Book with me.

I just tried it on a new save and it is in fact the same combination. Unless I got extremely lucky the order remained the same. The appearance of the mushrooms change on each new game. You need to eat an Echoshroom, a MindSap, and a Deathcandle in that order. However, if you eat a Dreamshroom you need to start over. Without being able to summon the rain you would have to either guess if the mushroom you cannot identify is a MindSap or a Dreamshroom. Unless you use the guidebook to identify the unknown mushroom to see if it is a MindSap or Dreamshroom.

Is that catalyst the C-Remover? It can't be since it requires a true hydra to craft it. Is the catalyst recipe found in the magic chest or painted chest? Is it related to the second set of numbers you found for the cabin library? How would someone go about painting the chest in the first place? Never mind about the painting I figured it out. Every recipe I currently have written down aside from the C-Remover needs Frost Caps but I'm seeming stuck in a loop of needing to solve the hydras to get to the Frost Caps and needing the Frost Caps to solve the hydras. The Malice cure needs Frost Caps. The walk through matter potion needs Frost Caps. The only recipe I can actually get the resources to craft that could possibly be called a catalyst would be the suppressant but I don't think that's it.

Journal Entry 17 is the first step to to really exploring the night forest. Make sure to bring an axe. However, as far as I know, choosing to wait on the sofa in the cabin will also switch the time in the forest.

You need to find the journal page with a certain recipe to get a Lilith. The specific page is number 11. You need to use the cauldron to craft and use the suppressant before you can pick up a Lilith. True Sight might be randomized but making it rain and finding out how to turn it to night will let you find those 3 mushrooms with 100% certainty. I could tell you my recipe for True Sight but it might not work. I could also tell you the formula for the suppressant but I don't think you can craft it without physically reading Journal Entry 11.

The painted book is the blank book that only has a shelf, row, and book number written. If you defeat or somehow evade the venus long enough you can interact with the specified location mentioned in the painted book. You will then pick up a Red Book that triggers a "You cannot use this item here" message when you use it.

I did find the hint to where the time changer is located. Unless there is more there that I missed.

There has to be a guaranteed way to find a true hydra. The journal entry is no help at all. I know that there are 11 hydras and that 10 of them are false. A 1 in 11 chance of identifying the true hydra is ridiculous.

I don't think I did but that would explain why I can't find it. I have now obtained every entry aside from 16, assuming that the entries go 1-18 then the ???, that I know of. Now I just need to make it snow or otherwise find  the desaturated trees. That should then allow me to craft the recipes unlocked by making it rain and letting me find the key to the magic chest.

I cannot find where to use the red book from the basement. It clearly has a use interaction somewhere but I cannot find out where.

Does completing the Festival make it rain? Seemingly everything I need to do next in the forest requires it to rain. The only things I can possibly do now is try to complete the Festival or try to open the mushroom chest.

If that opens the chest under the mushrooms then that is the key I need. However, I still only found it once and cannot find it again to open that chest.
