The basement key is located in the exact same position every time. Check the bathroom more thoroughly.

Spoilers

Check the end of the bathtub behind the curtain next to the wall.

The chests location is hinted at in Journal Page 8. It’s location is very memorable at night but you need to dig it up during the day. That chest will then lead to answering all of your other questions. If you haven’t already, make sure to bring a soulfruit to the tree that wants one. You will receive an important recipe for getting that key.

The Manor chest requires the West Wing key to open the door and the East Wing key to open the chest. You have most likely already obtained the item located with that chest and used it for it’s intended purpose. If I recall correctly, it also contained a (Filler) story item.

The current story progress ends after the sleepover at Yuri’s home.

If you sequence break obtaining Journal Page 15 in the woods, you will be no longer able to obtain the Crusty Key. I don’t know if being male affects the follow up conversations with that tree but it only tells me to bring it a Lilyth. When I do, it tells me properly what I should do next but since I already did that it won’t progress to the next phase.

TL:DR : Getting Journal Page 15 before bringing the tree a Lilyth prevents you from ever getting that key again.

It might be invisible at times but it should be located on the pedestal in the Manor Library. It is entirely optional right now and you will not be able to use it for its intended purpose until you figure out how to master the weather in the forest.

Journal Page 17 will tell you where the other key is located.

Spoilers

The key is behind the wood pile next to the cabin. The bottom most ghost tree to the left of the fairy ring that gives you the cursed dress tells you how to get blond hair the first time you model the dress. Every other time you just get the dress. You need one painted wood for hair dye and two painted wood for eye dye. A Dreamshoom will make you blonde. Another mushroom with a physical transformative effect will give you blue. Hint: It’s one of the two mentioned in your post. Save before sleeping and enter the forest dream directly.

The Festival, as far as I can remember, can in fact be completed with Malice and enough Flesh Pears and Milkroots. Check yourself by talking to the tree that measures you. You won’t get the exact correct measurements but you will get close enough provided you don’t take one too many. You could also use the measuring tape if you don’t want to talk to the tree but you will need it to be night anyway.

The key for the rusty chest is created after brewing and using a specific potion. The potion is very literal in its effect. You have in fact actually picked up the key before. The Lilyth is the mushroom that automatically ends the dream in a nightmare unless you have first brewed and used a specific potion. You haven’t softlocked yourself. It doesn’t involve the Void Forest, however having True Sight in there makes it much easier to escape with the key. You don’t need to start in the Lab and I highly recommend you don’t unless you are specifically trying to bring a Lvl4 Card to the lab.

The bookshelf requires a book that is located in the basement where you found Yuri. Interacting with that shelf drops a red book provided you have painted the blank book at least once. You do not have to repaint the blank book to spawn the red book. As far as I know there are three sets of important numbers. The blank book is not one of them. Two are static and the last is randomized every new game.

Spoilers

I forget where exactly it is first mentioned but you can search the school library for Festival of Life to find out the general requirements for making it rain. My notes say that you can learn about the Festival of Life and a set of numbers by talking to a specific ghost tree located by the fairy circle of mushrooms.

The Crusty key can be transformed into the rusty key. It requires a recipe mentioned of Page 15 which I believe is buried beneath the tree that want a Lilyth. You do not need to give it one before you can dig it up. It is also the tree that gives you the Crusty Key when you search its roots at a cost of the blue resource.

The recipe to safely handle the Lilyth is located in the area you can reach by interacting with the green portal that will appear between the two small trees directly below the mushroom circle when it is raining. There will also be a book telling you one of the alternative methods to making it rain although it does come with a minor downside. (A specific mushroom will not appear.)

The recipe for the potion to handle a Lilyth, as well as a pair of correct numbers to search the bookshelf for, are located through a portal that will appear once you complete the festival of life or otherwise make it rain. Page 8 of the journal contains an almost correct recipe for True Sight. You do need to eat the mushrooms to get True Sight, brewing them does nothing but waste them.

The Library Key is located within Lady Jessica’s room.

Spoilers

The recipe for True Sight is Echoshroom, Mind Sap, and Death’s Candle. To enter Lady Jessica’s room you will (possibly) need a light source and her outfit from one of the chests on the East Wing of the manor. You will likely encounter the mimic chest which will prevent you for changing your outfit. The mimic dress can be stripped by the upstairs hallway wind trap. Once you are wearing her outfit enter the room in the upper right side of the East Wing near the Library. Go south until you get possessed by the red ghost. Go to Lady Jessica’s door and it will unlock itself and let you enter. Normally, I’d wait here until the possession expires but the mirror trap will always trigger in my experience when you pass by the mirror in the bathroom to pick up the Library Key in the bathtub.

The interface in front of the suit allows you to choose which firmware and coordinates to program the suit with. You then wear the suit before entering the rift in the Lvl3 card room. If done correctly you will be teleported.

There are no more lock picks. A computer contains a pair of messages hinting at what to do to get the Lvl3 card.

An important item to getting the lvl3 card is located in one of the rooms beyond the squidrabbit.

Spoiler Warning.

You need to create and use the recovery disc with the simulator.

The key can be found after the first time by digging under the Lilyth / butt slapping tree. After that, you need to craft and use the item mentioned in page 15. You can then open the rusty chest. It contains what you need to make it snow.

Where is the wagon to get the item required for the new character?

The mirror transformation technically removes it. If you can't craft the cure in the lab due to never finding the recipe you will have enough time to trigger the Jessica transformation and get back to the lab provided you start in the manor. As long as you avoid the enemies you can find the recipe and possibly have enough time to find the recipe to craft with the tentacle egg as well. The item for the tentacle egg should be found before taking the path to the bathroom if you want to find it. I've personally confirmed the first part can be done with zero consumables and the second shouldn't be an issue if you bring any pills or tablets.

The hand can only be used to my knowledge to obtain the gun and enter the door to the rift. The rift door will require a L3 Keycard.

I'll have to do some testing but if you can only make the base then I think you didn't find the parasite removal terminal entry in the main lab terminal. Unfortunately  you can't reach that terminal if covered by the squidrabbit. Something in the Manor should be able help you. If I had to guess I'd say to try getting possessed and walking in front of a mirror. You could then try to enter the lab from the manor and see if the scanner door will let you pass. You might need to do that twice and take the secret path to the other bathroom. If you read how to remove the parasites you should be to craft the C-ALPHA. Three of the needed vials are located in various rooms. You need to mix the Protein Base with the purple vial and the other item to get the last required vial. You should then be able to craft the C-ALPHA. Otherwise you might consider starting a new save file where you explore the lab more thoroughly before encountering the squidrabbit.

EDIT: If you get possessed and can open Lady Jessica's Door, then you interact with the door while possessed so that it will let you enter. Enter AFTER the possession expires and look in the mirror. You will have enough time left to get to the lab and to the terminal with the information for the parasite removal. You should then be able to craft C-ALPHA and C-DELTA. The other recipes for the Protein Base need to be found in terminals or after using a specific item located past the squidrabbit.

Which key did you find? Both are static spawns. One is hidden behind something and the other is within a slime.

Use the machine in the center of the room you found Kari in.

Yes but you don't need both unless you really want to open one chest in particular. That chest does does contain a very useful item but there is an alternative way to get the exact same item that I think is easier. Once you have a light source you can explore the basement and the corridor behind the locked door in the East Wing. You will find a way to obtain more than one item with the brush. Aside from the locked doors you can explore most of the West and East Wings no matter what key you create.

You can't explore the basement with a light source. There are two light sources in the Manor. A Lantern is located in Lady Jessica's Bedroom. An empty flashlight is located behind the password locked door in the west wing. Either will work. You will not need the West Wing Key to access the password door. You will need that key if you never found the password.

Alchemy requires you to put in the required mushrooms all at once and then brew it. No need to put them in the exact order.

You use the item that appears in your inventory after brewing a potion to get it's effect.

If you are trying to get True Sight, you eat the mushrooms rather than brew them.

The PC will only attempt the thirsty tree's request if you were caught by a Malice. That quest only becomes relevant once that happens.

That chest is related to the tree that wants a Lilyth mushroom. The Fragile Keys do not work. This is a hint and not the full solution.

It involves the tree that wants the Lilyth. Once you can properly handle one and talk to it, I believe it tells you about something underneath it. If you didn't get the hint after showing it the Lilyth the tree then becomes the one that slaps your butt. The tree that gives you the Crusty Key is the tree you are looking for.

Thanks for responding. It's good to know that this is probably a bug and not everyone failing to do something that is actually mentioned in the Journal.

I was more directly referring to Unnie since as far as I know they are the only person who knows what that method actually entails and if it is even possible in the current build on itch.

You should look more closely at the Terminal in the Lab.

Could you yourself test to see if the total asset abandonment method is working as intended? I can't figure out what would be considered an asset and what is considered abandoning them. The journal is definitely mentioned in Page 18. I went in there with the journal and classification book. I dropped both and even made sure to get my clothing stripped. I tried again with the Journal and a full inventory of Identified Mushrooms. The only item I could not abandon was the needle. Clearly I am doing something wrong but no method of "abandonment" seems to be working.

I knew the list I made would come in handy. The location of Page 15 is hinted at after completing a certain tree's request. If you still require more hints after this I can tell you which tree in particular.

The White Tree has no interactions to make it snow. The C-Remover requires some out of the box thinking to use correctly. There is a buried chest that contains what you need to make it snow. The chest itself is locked and rusty. There are 3 keys that you can obtain in the forest without changing the weather: however you may need to change the time of day. The key you seek is one of them.

What story? There is significantly more gameplay and puzzles currently then story content. It's not like we even have the whole story yet anyways.  The only story we currently have is Find Kari, Find Yuri, Talk to Kari and Yuri about Nanami, Go to mall with Kari, Meet Yuri at Mall, Meet Nanami at her job, The Sleepover, and Yuri's Nightmare. The journal is blank after that. We know next to nothing about Nanami before or after the sleepover. I don't even think that the player can even interact with her at all since the player can't talk to her at her job and I can't find her at all in the school. Kari basically just wants to turn you into a woman. Yuri wants to help you turn back and actually has an interactive follow up scene but the player has to go out of their way to trigger it. Rin disappears after your encounter at the Outpost saying you shouldn't be there yet. The characters we know the least about are Rin and Nanami and we don't have any ways to interact with them. Rin is one of the hardest characters to try to interact with since you have one time encounters that have massive green bar requirements to unlock  dialogue options. If you don't know about them ahead of time, which why would you given that this game is supposed to be difficult, then you need to load an earlier save or start a new one just to further interact with them.

No, the time of day in the forest doesn't matter. You just need to follow an invisible path down from an Orange Tree until you reach a Red Tree. You then go left from the Red Tree and you will encounter the zone with the Harbinger. As long as you line yourself up with the center of both trees you will reach the destination you seek. There are no prerequisites aside from following the path.

I found it. It is very obvious in hindsight but it is incredibly easy to overlook if you don't know exactly what you are looking for in the first place.

Could you say in which particular room this mirror can appear in? I know you've stated it involves the Red Book but I haven't found anywhere to use it. I've looked in both the Library, Basement, and Cabin Basement in desperation since those are the only areas I know that that bookshelves and that floor texture. I even made sure to have True Sight on after the mirror swap. This might be due to a flag missing on my doomed file or I'm missing something incredibly obvious or complicated.

Bring an axe and cut down the colored trees. You will either need True Sight or to be very close to the trees for the color to appear. If I recall correctly there are three trees you will need to cut down.

Find an Orange Tree. Go South from the Orange Tree until you encounter a Red Tree. Go West from the Red Tree in a straight line until you reach your destination. Make sure you are starting from as close as possible to the trunks of the trees and walk in a straight line. If done correctly then you will get there once you walk far enough. For context, sprinting with 3X frame rate still takes a couple seconds of movement past the end of the "path" that will become visible after solving a different puzzle.

Journal Entry 17 has the answers you seek.

Was this a hint to the Red Books purpose or a hint on how to escape the death loop because even after obtaining the items in the Magic Chest again it still traps me once the night ends.

(1 edit)

That looks like the library and I've never seen a mirror in there. Is it related to the Red Book or solving the logic behind actually reaching the end of the library? EDIT: Just saw your post on the other thread.

I think I figured it out but without other peoples results I can't be sure.

I don't know if I ruined my save or just reach the current end of content. After using the items obtained in the Magic Chest, I encounter an endless death door loop at the end of the next dream. Additionally, I have not found a use for the Red Book.

I was able to enter the room on a file where I triggered the mirror Jessica transformation prior and never chose to swap back. I was blond with blue eyes wearing the default outfit and the door let me pass. I was not possessed by the ghost or wearing her outfit.

Alright, thanks.
