yeah that's a good idea, we could have provided a bit more visual feedback on the controls . Thanks for playing !!

The idea is original and well executed !
There are some technical details , like the red enemies seemingly having much better movement than the player and some glitching through walls / roofs that didn't seem intentional ?
The art is simple but very effective. The only real problem I'd say is that there's not a huge sense of progression, maybe there could be some things to unlock to change the gameplay after a few levels ?
All in all great job though i really enjoyed it !
This is a great idea ! There's a lot of potential behind the mechanic.
If I were to nitpick, I would however say that there is a bit of tweaking to be done:
- The rolls the hero gets are not very easy to see while rushing to get the best dice.
- The enemies switch too quickly to be able to adapt to their strengths and weaknesses.
- There are too many "no effect" combinations.
- The right side of the screen has too little visually noticeable changes when the hero wins / attacks and so it feels a bit static
- I got stuck once between two crystals because you cant go through them when youve got enough shards
Overall this is a really really good idea that very strongly appeals to the video player's more mathematical side , which is a very unique thing. However there's some tweaking to be done to truly make it feel interactive and balanced.
Like others have said, there are a lot of bugs. It's essentially unplayable.
However, there's a lot of potential which we can see from the animations, the enemy designs and the map (which is huge, really impressive you guys made that in 48 hours).
My personal guess is that you guys were a bit too ambitious and wanted a huge map, lots of enemies, and lots to explore and didn't properly plan out time for bug squashing and really ironing out all the faults in the essential features. It's equally important to dedicate some time to explain to a new player what the goals and mechanics of your game are.
To give a concrete example, our team (there's 3 of us) initially wanted something similar to your game but decided it would be overambitious. (Our main characters are funnily similar btw haha) We thought of a simpler concept and once we nailed the mechanics we then worked on the polish, making a very clear UI, and creating the bosses. I think after a few more jams and a bit more experience you guys will be able to deliver a finished, playable and fun product, it definitely seems like you have a lot of potential. Congrats on the work !
very fun !
although I would have appreciated some more explanation on what the dice do, i couldnt find out within the time allowed.
I also had a few pretty bad framerate issues, but i suppose that's normal for a 3d game developed under 48 hours. The controls like other people have said are a bit unreliable, and the animations could do with some work, but overall this is very fun
Nice and fast paced game :)
Perhaps there could have been some upgrades or goals to work towards ? I did find myself getting a bit bored after a few rounds because it didn't feel like anything was really changing between the rounds besides the exponential growth on the bottom right corner. Some features there could have kept me hooked for longer. But overall nice idea and great execution !
Its a very amusing game. I was able to play it with 2 people and it works well. However it's not entirely balanced (the laser is extremely op) and the lack of a lot of levels as well as a small jump height make it a bit less fun. The dice theme is present in the RNG but it feels like much of the RNG , besides the weapon choice and radius, don't hugely impact the game. Maybe with larger maps or more lives it would be felt more ?
The graphics were great and very diverse. As tower defense games go, this one had enemies which were quite interesting (the wizard summoning the attackers was fun).
However, there wasn't much information about the towers, and the dice mechanic was not as influential as it seemed like it was intended to be. The intial few waves are tough but once you survive those the game is quite easy.
