I had an urge to try to make a backrooms game but I didn't want to stray much further than the original image so this is the end result, a whole lot of slowly wandering around weirdly shaped rooms with ugly wallpaper, smelly carpet and obnoxious lighting, the premise is straight forward: see how far you can descend.

Check it out, here!

If you choose to give it a go then I hope you enjoy it regardless.

Deep under the ground of a facility full of experiments, weapons, items and secrets sits the mines ripe with the mysterious Pink Essence. Sadly due to these mysterious properties it's become incredibly hostile as it merges into bloodthirsty makeshift entities, as someone trapped in the mines below you're in their crosshairs and must survive as long as possible, luckily Pink Essence bonds to your flesh to unlock upgrades on the fly and through death you'll be able to mutate further upgrades to assist when you return once more.

Admittedly I am burned out from the project but I wanted to at least get a build out for people to hopefully enjoy.

You can find it, here!

Quite fun and an interesting execution of an interesting idea, I could definitely see it expanding beyond this jam version in a neat way :)

Edit: Sorry if you get multiple pings, browser bugged out on me!

That's quite alright, there's a beauty in simplicity and if you haven't had the chance to try it out for yourself then I implore you do so :)

Short and to the point, enjoyed it quite a bit.

I really like the boss being an absolute push over but I did wish the power of friendship did play into it more :b

Glad you enjoyed it, I've found that game jams are a great excuse to make short games which is awesome for me because I struggle with scope creep frequently xv

Quite need, sadly these kinds of games have never been my cup of tea but fear not my own bias will not get in the way of the score I think it deserves, equal parts frustrating but enjoyable in the end.

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

Glad you enjoyed, it was a refreshing change of pace so thank you for the chance :)

About:
Piloting a Digger armed with a mining laser your corporate overlords have you contractually obligated to endlessly mine a chunk they've isolated that is rich in resources, return the resources to the Mega Digger you arrived in and you'll receive cash to spend on upgrades, cave ins are fairly common too causing old paths to close up and even new ones to open up.

Why:
My only goal was to make a game where you can mindlessly dig like in various mining games however top down rather than side scrolling, so while shallow I do believe I accomplished what I had set out to do.

I forgot to announce it here but alongside the v1-1 update They're Made of Pink now has a demo!

They're Made of Pink is a single player shooter where you're tasked with taking out the Central Computer which has gone rogue and taken over the Facility with entities created from the mysterious Pink Essence, luckily weapons and stacking upgrades are in abundance as you attempt to accomplish this task.

You can check it out, here.

Thank, I'm glad you liked it.

Congratulations!

I regret to inform you that in a few days the game will be getting an update that will make it generally easier to achieve, perhaps I'll make saves not transition over however so you and any others like you can flex! Sadly that would mean that everyone would have to start from scratch.

I must mention that this isn't the same game I made years ago but a remake of it's original version which is why it holds up(it's only a few weeks old as of writing this), I do intend to publicly release the original builds again however but be warned they are worse in every regard!

As for an ultimate unlock for completing everything I've wanted to do that but the intention was to see if I could make it within a week and decided that I wouldn't go too beyond the original game's original version, plus I was already pushing the time limit with Trixie's fight which is probably why it's turned out how it did.

Inspired by BadGameDev's "easiest game ever", You Probably Won't Die is a zombie survival game where you play as someone trapped on a desert island and must survive 7 waves of monsters that arrive via the Sea that surrounds said desert island by running and gunning your way around, building enough of a temporary base or finding the balance between the two as you gain points along the way.

Pretty interesting method of time manipulation in order to create a clone of yourself to fill out the party, was a bit confusing for a while though trying to figure out what the deal with battles were since apparently any attack to the player will end combat(not always) but the enemies seem to prioritize your clones so having them all the time just felt natural.

My only issues, other than what I stated above, were the menus were a bit weird namely how W/S are inverted which threw me off because up/down works as expected, the lack of audio/visual feedback makes reading what's going on tricky which lead to further confusion as stated above.

Game is real neat regardless and with some extra polish I bet it'll be great!

I wanted to keep the time manipulation as more of a theme since it's a Soul extending it's time alive in an otherwise unnatural way similar to controlling the flow of time on the fly but the effects aren't as obvious so to speak.

I definitely agree that a lot of the frustration that can be experienced can be experienced via unbalanced trials, I did try my best but balance has never been my strong suit but I have faith I'll get there eventually and having someone point it out is always helpful!

Glad you found it interesting all the same.

Thank!

It's such a nice relaxing experience, I frankly adore it and how the time traveling was handled, it also kind of reminded of the GROW games in a way which brings back some pleasant memories.

Thank you!

I adore how short and sweet the puzzles are, I would have liked more incentives to use different time manipulation powers however with how the puzzles are I think they present plenty excuse to mess around with said powers.

Glad you liked it, sorry about the frustrations!

Due to changes in management Reapers are instructed to grant Souls a chance to reincarnate regardless of previous transgressions, however it's not simply a choice and Souls must complete a series of trials in hopes of achieving a new life, this is where you come in.

You can check it out, here.

Developed for Lone Rabbit's "a jam about time", you can check it out, here.

I hope you enjoy the post jam update then!

I quite like this approach to the battle royale type of deal, it's a fun limited experience only really hindered by the aiming the torch feeling a little weird to control gameplay wise at least, I think one of my favourite things is how the less people alive the darker it becomes until it's more a game of hide and seek than tag.

I can only imagine that if you had more than the final 24 hours what it could be like, definitely worth looking into a post jam update!

I must say I adore it, the childhood desire for a Bike and selling Lemonade to get just that little bit more money than parents will grant with allowances, the rhythm gameplay, the fluid animations when you press a key, even how it's the same buttons every time so you end up picking up the pace significantly the more you play giving it this sort of arcade game charm.

Overall neat and some minor sound effects added would have done wonders for the animations but with how the game is imagining them might just be half the fun.

I still have Hunterstory from like all these years ago, there's actually a fan made sequel that exists too, found it through Flashpoint, definitely worth a looking into!

I actually did set out to make March of the Slime King like a diet version of Hunterstory but in my efforts to do so I failed to consider the consistency that it has even when it comes down to the RNG factor, accuracy of one's own shots is really quite the pain in the butt as well.

It definitely is a pain in the butt, given the window of time I didn't put too much thought into it as I really should have.

Neat concept and execution, everything feels like it's bound with a neat little bow!

Favourite part is the 3rd part, the way the lore is explained and each time it affects how the rest of the area looks and the way it transitions! just overall good stuff.

I'm glad you liked it despite it's flaws as for everything else:
- Power ups are implemented but you only get one at a time every 10 levels(9 at the start since you're at level 1, indicated by the crowns and levels remaining stat things), summons are my personal favourites too!

- The issues with damage and accuracy were a side effect of putting too much focus on the power ups since summons made damage more consistent and the accuracy one made it at least more reliable to hit things, naturally, however point 1 certainly demonstrates why such a system didn't work.

- I was never really good at balancing enemies, this is pretty clear when Skuttlers are very easy to kill regardless of level but Lizardmen are always a chore, Spitters are pretty alright though at so there's that.

- I ended up forgetting to add sound effects and ran out of time by the time I did remember sadly.

Although I can't promise anything I'd very much love to return to this game and refine it, in it's own version naturally so it doesn't go deluding the duct tape and staples version!

Created for the B&W game jam, you play as the self proclaimed Slime King, ruler of nothing as you march on asserting your dominance over lesser beings while leveling up, collecting crowns and thus dominions to further your capabilities.
