Really good game and excellent mechanics!
First, I must say, that this is the first gamejam game that I was able to play through to the end. The mechanics were well balanced. Second, I really love all the programming that went into it; enemy spawner, pathfinding, the machine system, the cutscenes, and transitions. Because they feel very polished. Finally the story and concept is really cute, I especially love the scene transitions.

However like all gems it still has its flaws. Firstly, the mechanics were polished but I believe a bit more could have be done to go the extra mile. Such as; player feedback when killing the enemy, locking the camera to borders so you can't see outside the map, UI feedback on the abilities you can and can't use... Secondly, the art needs some improving. Now, I can understand your a programmer and not an artist, so you still did a good job attempting the art XD. Personally I'm not an artist either, but all my friends are artists so I usually invite my whole friend group to help out. I have been getting better though, and when I make the art my self I copy "reference" from online, it helps a lot. For future jams I would recommend; using lots of references online to improve and getting some friends to  help you out with the art.

Other than that excellent work! And don't let the art make you discouraged. It's a skill just like programming so you will get there.

This game has my stamp of approval✅

Thanks so much for taking the time to give me feedback, I really love when people go the extra mile! 📝 ✍️
Yeah for sure I should have made them work together a bit more.
I will be sure to play test and add user feedback in future jams! I never considered it really XD

Funny story though, the original idea was that you were going to fight the God Chaos from Greek myth, but my artist was really behind so that was going to be impossible. So 6 hours before submission we totally remade the theme so we only had to use 1 sprite, he quickly drew up some backgrounds, I rushed for music and by some miracle we were able to submit XD. The sleep paralysis demon was the only way having the same retextured character would make sense.

Again thanks so much for the feedback,

Yeah for sure I should have explained the spears a bit more.

Super sorry man, but the game wouldn't load. 😬😬😬

It's understandable though, Game jamming is hard so don't beat yourself up over it. I have done 10 game jams and only submitted 2!

But keep trying you will get there :)
Also you can check out my game if you have time XD

For sure, more weapon options are always nice. I'll be sure to take note of that.

Really great game overall! First I would like to say it's very polished for a game jam and hits all the marks. The tutorial and UI is really well done and quite intuitive, something you don't see much of in gamejams, and it was really nice for it to be implemented in the game. Secondly the game is really fun. I had to strategies on the intensity to use the bow when the border got smaller, as well as think of ways to avoid enemies.

However even though it is really polished, there are a few things you could have done to go the extra mile. First off, though this is quite minor, more arrows would have been nice cause I felt the game was really difficult with just 2. Always remember if the game is easy for the developer, it's hard for the player XD. My second issues is user feedback. I found it hard to keep track of when I hit an enemy, and when I lost health. A few things you could have added were; sound fx for when you were damaged, screen flashes red when you get hurt, particle explosions when enemies died...ect... Anything to give the user more feedback.

The user feedback issue is only a minor inconvenience to a very polished game.
Good job!
Here is my stamp of approval✅

The game is very soothing! Firstly the simplistic but yet well done art, mechanics and sound really highlights what game jams are about; making an awesome game out of simple parts. Secondly the game is really fun! Moving the player and trying to navigate around corners is quite enjoyable.

However like all gems there are a few faults. First off the theme of Chaos could have been highlighted a bit better. I found the game was a bit too soothing and doesn't properly fit the theme, though it would have been an excellent submission to other game jams. Chaos could have highlighted more through the intensity of the fans, the addition of a timer, or making the papers bounce. Second off I found the game is a bit too relaxed and doesn't meet the level of intensity required for long term engagement. Though I feel this relaxing atmosphere may have been intentional. Again a timer could have been added to give it some intensity.

But those are only 2 minor issues to a very well done game. It's amazing you could make such a polished game at 13, and for a game jam non the less. I'm 15 and I am still struggling to debug my game 🙈.

Keep up the good work

I'll be sure to add more player feedback in the future, this advice really helps me get better as game jammer.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, made my day :)

Very nice execution of the theme! The game is most definitely chaotic, and the bullets being able to hit you makes for some rather strategic gameplay. For example I would gather all the enemies in a particular spot, shoot perpendicular to the wall and then RUN. The game is quite fun, with the upgrade system being a nice touch that made it even more rewarding. I only have 1 issue with this game and it's that there is no music, which would have really added to the atmosphere of Chaos. Other than that really good job!

It has my stamp of approval ✅

Cute game, with a nice concept. Firstly the clones really made it chaotic and I loved the idea. Secondly I like that there was an easy mode button, it's a little feature that has a big impact, especially with things like game jams. Because I may be able to make games, but I am horrible at playing them.

However there are a few issues. Firstly music would be nice as it would have really added to the atmosphere. Secondly the level manager was a bit weird, with you being able to progress without having to complete the level, though I feel this may have been intentional. Finally less clones would have been nice cause it was a bit too choatic XD

All in all, it has a lot of potential however execution stylistically wise could have been better. But the programming/mechanics are quite good so I give you props for that.

Rating: A for effort 👍
Good job!

🙈🙈🙈 Yeah it bothered me too, I honesty didn't know where to put it to get rid of the ugly.
Thanks so much for the feedback tho! 👍

This game is really fun. Firstly the lore is quite nice, it gave me motivation to play through the game, something you don't typically see in game jam games. Secondly the grapple is soo fun to play with, I was having a blast using it. And on top of that I wasn't able to find any bugs in the game which is a feat in it's own right.

However like most good things there are a couple issues. First off be sure to add sound effects next time, it really adds to the user experience. (I know it's hard to add them in a game jam setting, I added mine to my game an hour before the deadline). Secondly be sure to invest more time into GUI's and text, but that's a normal rookie mistake.

But despite those 2 issues the game is quite good. It's very chaotic, the mechanics are top tier, its bugless, and I love the sense of humor through out the level XD

Good job

Really good job dude! It's amazing that you are even able to use Unity at 11. You have a bright future ahead of you for sure.

Gameplaywise the game still feels quite nice. First I really liked that the frogs whole body turned, it was a cool mechanic and made the game feel more free. Second the tuxedo frog looks really good. And finally it's really cool how you implemented the theme, makes for a fun experience.

Good job and keep up the good work

Super sorry man, but the game wouldn't load. It's because when exporting to itch.io from Unity, you need to disable compression for the html5 build. 😬😬😬

Game jamming is hard so don't beat yourself up over it.
I hope to see you in future game jams,
Have a good day!

Really sorry your game didn't work out. It's understandable though, game jams are really stressful.  Making a game is especially hard by yourself, I usually get my whole friend group to help me out.  Even with there help I have done 10 game jams and only submitted 2! But don't beat yourself up over it. Because game jamming is a skill and like with any skill you need lots of practice.

But keep trying, you will get there :)
If you want more practice the mini-jam is hosted twice a month.
That's how I started getting good.

Really good game! It's insanely well polished for a game jam game congrats. My only issue would be that the spell system was a bit confusing, so I would have liked if it was explained a bit more in the tutorial. But other than that; no Buggs, the visuals were great for this style of game, and the music was adorable. 10/10

👍👍👍

Really cute game! I'm amazed you could do a 3d game in just a week. My only issue was that enemies were hard to detect, so a gui to point you to where enemies are shooting you from would have been nice. But other than that really nice. I especially like the bloom and the music, it adds to the atmosphere.

Good job👍

As someone who is learning to type without looking at my keyboard this was really nice :)

I absolutely love the art style, it feels super cozy. That combined with the music just put a huge grin on my face. I couldn't help but giggle the whole time I was playing. It was a bit hard to multitask but that added to the chaos. If anything I would have put the UI elements closer. Despite that I really liked the game 10/10 I'm book marking this page for sure.

As a summer camp monitor I can say this is a 10/10 accurate portrait. Chaos 10/10

On a serious note though this game is really well done. While the graphics may be simple, the gameplay is very well put together and polished. I especially liked the small details; like the students making little pick up noises, and the text box loading sounds.

The only thing I would have liked is a pause button, and restart button. Because my monitor sense told me when the end was near, so I would have liked to just restart a level XD. But that's a very minor addition to a very well done game. Good job!

This is amazing, like the whole premise is chaotic. And I love how you didn't need much to create that chaotic effect. 10/10 best game I've played in the jam

This is like dark souls but with my dog, she loves to chase the hose XD. Very wholesome 10/10. I honestly have nothing to critize about the game it's that good. Amazing you could make this for a game jam!

Good job :)

This game is the definition of chaos. At first I was confused on why there wasn't an introduction, but I realized it added so much depth more meaning to the theme. The art, the sound, gameplay, and everything gives of chaotic energy. From trying to keep track of which ball is in the zone constantly, to frantically hoping a ball would go in the zone before the others expire. It perfectly fits chaos' definition:
"behavior so unpredictable as to appear random, owing to great sensitivity to small changes in conditions."

I actually have no bad reviews to say about it . The game is a bit hard so I couldn't see it through to the end but I thoroughly enjoyed the 5 minutes I did spend playing.

THIS IS LIKE ASMR AND I'M HERE FOR IT. I've never played a game like this before, but each time the map would change on the beat drop I just felt an immense amount of satisfaction. I have no idea how you did it but I loved it. Secondly the combat was also really nice, and the sound for shooting the gun gave me even more tingles. The only issue I have with the game is that the levels are a bit long, but other than that it's amazing. I'll be back before bed to relax, cause this just cleansed all my stress. <3

Thanks so much for the feedback! 📝 ✍️
I never thought of that, great advice! I'll be sure to add some more feedback for the user in the future.

Really awesome game. The concept is quite unique, it has lots of potential! However the main issue I had was lack of sound, the experience would have been much enhanced if there was music. It was a bit off putting. But other than it was a really cool game. And getting upgrades was really rewarding.

Would deffo get on mobile. It would be great to play while on the bus

Really good game over all. First I want to say I absolutely love the art, and music. It really gives a retro vibe. Secondly using physics to move is a genius mechanic, and as a physics junkie myself I quite enjoyed it. However it got a bit too chaotic after the first level, as I kept losing track of the object. The object reestablishing every few levels would be a nice touch. But other than that I really love this feature concept. It would be nice to see it expanded upon.

Cute game! It's very innovative being a farming sim in a chaotic setting. Though I would capitalize more on the Chaos by adding events for extra spice. Also a little music would have been good. But this is still pretty good for a game jam game! I quite liked it.

Lots of fun! I love the speed mechanic because it makes you strategize. I had to use some physics to figure out how to turn in such way that I don't lose speed XD. Very innovative!

Thanks for the feedback, I'll be sure to put more time into sounds design/polish for the next jam!
*speedily writing notes*

Really glad you liked it! My inspiration was my own Mr.Wiskers who decided to destroy my tv the other day hahaha

Hehehehe XD thanks for the feedback!  I was wondering how to fix the timer bug without discombobulating the timer.

Thank you for the feedback! I was wondering about that while I was testing, I'll be sure to add settings for different key mappings for future jams.

Thanks for the feedback! *speedily writing notes* I'll be sure to take it into consideration for future

Really clever way of implementingthe theme, I had a giggle while playing.  The controller feels super smooth and it an overall nice game. Though I would have preferred to have some variety in the cats because the game gets redundant after a while. But besides that it makes for a fun experience.

I really liked the charge behavior, it made for some intense moments where I wiggled my mouse like crazy to get rid of the dog.  It's one of those features that are easy to learn but takes time to master. But when you pull off a charge perfectly it felt awesome.

Really lovely game, the simplistic music and charming graphics really brought it together to give a cutesy vibe. I also love the mechanic of using a laser pointer, which I found was quite unique, and it made for some interesting gameplay.

Though the only thing I'd like to see is a sense of progression as you get farther, to hook me in to play longer. However understandably, as with game jams time is of the essence.

Really great game, I got a score of 14 :)
