well some devs give tips on how they looked/solved at a specific problem and explain, how they solved it. But that is not achievable in 5 minutes.

Hello everyone,

does anyone here have experience with the length of dev log videos? I hesitate to summarize current progress in a 10 minute video or to split the topics into two videos each 5 minutes. Does anyone have experience with whether it is valued more if you show short videos more often or if you show more detailed videos less often?

Do you watch dev log videos? What length do you prefer?

Thanks for any insights.

fantastic! Here is your reward 🎉🎉    🏆     🎉🎉

Ty, I will have a look at it!

I just had the chance to dive into your jump and run game, and I must say I'm impressed! Your art style is captivating, and the game's concept kept me engaged throughout my playtime.

One thing I noticed is that the controls feel a bit floaty, which I suspect might be due to the use of velocity for movement. Tightening up the controls could make the gameplay even more enjoyable.

Your game design is on point, especially how the initial levels serve as effective tutorials for the core mechanics. However, ramping up the difficulty a bit earlier in the game could add an extra layer of excitement.

I also appreciated the combat aspect of the game, but perhaps implementing a cooldown on the attack could prevent button spamming and add a strategic element to the fights.

Overall, I had a fantastic 30 minutes of gameplay, and your game shows great promise.

Thank you for sharing it, and I look forward to seeing how it evolves.

Hey, thx for sharing your insights. Your detailed documentation is incredibly helpful.

I'm curious if you've ever experimented with sending free keys to Twitch streamers and if you have any insights on the conversion rates when targeting this audience. I've been considering this approach for my own game, and I'd love to hear about your experiences or any tips you might have.

This is crazy good music:

We're using Unity (urp) and Aseprite atm. Maybe expand on some tools for localisation in the future.

Thank you for sharing your honest feedback and highlighting your initial confusion. We apologize for the lack of clarity and hints in the game. We understand that providing a more comprehensive tutorial or additional hints would greatly assist players in understanding the mechanics and enjoying the game from the start. We appreciate your suggestion and will work on improving the onboarding experience to ensure that players can quickly get the hang of the game and dive into the fun.

We're glad to hear that you found the controls easy to use and responsive. It's also wonderful to know that you appreciated the stylized and simplistic art direction of the game.

Regarding sound, we acknowledge that there isn't much in the game currently. We're actively working on incorporating sound elements to enhance the overall experience and create a more immersive atmosphere.

Thank you for your encouragement and support. We value your feedback as it helps us refine and improve the game. We'll continue working hard to deliver an enjoyable and engaging experience.

Thank you for your valuable input in improving Tribute TD.

Thank you so much for playing our game and providing detailed feedback. We appreciate your constructive criticism and are glad to hear that you see potential in our concept. Here's our response to your points:

  1. We understand your concerns about balance, especially in the early stages of the game. We will take your suggestion into consideration and make the first few rounds easier to provide a smoother learning curve for new players.
  2. We apologize for the imbalance in the random weapons and buffs distribution. We'll work on adjusting the system to ensure that players receive a fair and more consistent loadout in the early rounds.
  3. The behavior of the gun AI is something we're actively working on improving. Your feedback about prioritizing closer enemies will be taken into account to enhance the overall gameplay experience.

We're thrilled that you enjoyed the creative aspects of our game, including the modules, upgrades, and variety of weapons. We'll continue to expand on these elements and offer even more strategic options for players.

Regarding controls/UI, we're glad you found them simple and easy to understand. We'll consider enlarging the font to improve readability for players.

We appreciate your positive feedback on the artwork, enemy design, icons, and weapon animations. Your encouragement motivates us to continue delivering high-quality visuals.

We acknowledge your point about the lack of sound and music. Rest assured, we are working on implementing audio elements to enhance immersion and atmosphere in future updates.

Once again, we sincerely thank you for taking the time to play and provide valuable feedback. Your insights help us improve the game and create a better experience for all players.
