This is a really good comment, and the level of detail is super helpful! We're intending to develop this game further, and this is the type of stuff we want to know! It's very tough to get every detail right in a game jam of this length, and we really love the game, so we want to make it the best we can. Would you be open to helping us test play future builds?

cute story and great art! I loved all the detail you put into the environment, and I just wish the game was longer, and had more content. Good stuff!

I had fun destroying all those buildings! Quite satisfying. While I liked the music, I think it was a little too upbeat for what the game's about. Otherwise it was pretty fun, and I liked the explosion animations!

This is the only text based game so far, I'm sad to hear that you had to scrap a bunch of code, but glad you got something in! The UI looked very clean, and I hope to see more from you in the future!

(1 edit)

The music and sound effects were sick. I am also a metal head. I found the best strategy was to just run all the way to the end because on my first play through I wasted all my bullets trying to kill the first guy. My tips would be to give us some feedback that our bullets are doing something like enemies flashing on damage, or knockback as well as decreasing enemy hp to like 1 or 2 hits. I loved pacing and everything else was solid. I'd be excited to see what you come up with next time!

Very creative with a creative name to fit! This makes me want to implement co-op mode in our game. Very nicely done with good puzzles! Loved it.

Very cool game with a nice atmosphere, the control scheme was awesome if it had been a horror/exploration game. Once it turned into a platformer, the controls seemed really clunky, and I wish I could've gone backward, or known how charged my jump was. Once I got to the object that says "press E" my controls got stuck down and I ended up spinning endlessly in circles. This would make a great horror game, and I loved the creativity! I look forward to seeing what's next!

Not bad! I've always loved these types of games, and having the robot at the top is a fun twist. Maybe changing the angle of the ball with the angle of the paddle would make it more skill based. Anyway, I had fun, and liked that the ball sped up if you keep it alive for a while. Good stuff!

I would go a step further and add sound effects or some graphically feedback to know I'm getting hit. I look forward to seeing your next game!

This game was pretty sweet! Great graphics, great sounds (although the panning was weird at times), cool mechanics. I clipped through the 'server is offline' thing into the starry abyss, but kept going. Apart from knowing how to complete my objective, this was really a top notch game!

Thanks so much, that means a lot! We want to improve it and have a much bigger release in the future.

Cool stealthy game! It was fun, and I liked the added element of items, although it was a little confusing trying to figure out what they did when you pick them up. It really felt intense at moments, and I quite enjoyed it. Great Job!

This was pretty creative, and I enjoyed it alot - good mechanics and atmosphere! It was a bit confusing at first, and I had very little direction. I didn't know I had to stay next to the charging station after the first puzzle, and quickly died several times before I got it. The length of the battery could've been increased just a little, because it was frustrating to have to start over so much. That being said, every aspect of this game other than the balancing was awesome!

The music and sound effects were pretty cool, and the platforming was smooth! I also liked being able to switch into other robots! I definitely clipped into a few platforms and fell off the side of the screen more than once. It would be nice to see a more polished version, because I really like this, but I assume you ran out of time. Anyway, nice submission!

I really like the saw blade aesthetic for the protagonist, but ultimately I could tell if I was damaging enemies with it. It's tough to have a good game where the only weapon you have is melee when enemies can shoot you. Maybe you could charge up saws and shoot them? The red dots to indicate where objects were were super helpful. Ultimately I feel that this is a pretty sweet starting point, but I assume you ran out of time. Keep progressing, because this was cool!

The aesthetics of the game are awesome, and bounce pads make every platformer better, good choice. The wall jump was cool, but very weird to get used to, and I would've lover some sound effects. Good choice of music, the Aladdin remix was great. I think that you did a pretty solid job!

Nice first game! Most people have said what I was gonna say, so what I want to focus on are what are those enemies? Also the panning on the shot audio was a cool idea, but ultimately I found it distracting. That being said, keep trying that kind of stuff! Anyway, I still had fun. You're the best

Super fun minigame reaction style game. I found myself playing repeatedly. I  don't think your lives reset after the first run though. Anyway, I had a blast and just want more!

This game is super dope! I love being able to build my own robot! The sound effects and visuals were great too! Sadly, after I finished the quest to bring the laser turret back to the shop, I got soft locked in the shop screen, and robots came and killed me. I would've loved to see more going on in this huge open desert. You guys built the awesome backbone to a game, and I'm so sad I don't get to see more content. I really enjoyed everything y'all put together!!

Loved the creativity and the work put into the sound track! Not really sure if I was trying to spawn robot viruses, or kill them, or both. How do I win? How do I lose? Either way, I had fun shooting all the little critters! Good job!

Ccool little platformer! I definitely glitched into the ceiling on the second level where there's a steep slope, and had to restart. So glad the game saves, and I could just load it up! unfortunately I used most of my energy with the jetpack, and finished the level with like 1% left, so the next level was impossible... My favorite part was definitely collecting the gears. Lots of fun!

Fun little game, I beat each enemy twice. maybe adding a health bar would be good? It was nice to know that my shots were doing something with the enemies flashing red, and as a first game this is pretty baller. Nice job!

Cool idea! I love the idea of possessing cars and these mech things. When I first started the game an explosion launched me way up in the air and I landed on top of a building XD. Had fun messing around in this world, and I thought the robot was super cute. Nice!

I loved the feel of the shooting, and the shooting sound was satisfying. Not sure if you knew this, but the walls have no collision with the player, so you can go right through them. Cool start to the game though, I'm sure the bigger project will only be cooler from here!

I enjoyed the pixel art, and the music+sound effect. It was difficult to tell if I was damaging enemies or not, and I got stuck on the second room. Maybe add some feedback like enemies flashing or something so I know if my attacks work. Great start to game dev though!

This was hilarious! I loved the physics and the music was both happy and foreboding. Great job!

The cutscenes were great, and I liked the cute character model. The gameplay could do with some more feedback, after touching the red box I thought I was fine until looking at my health number. Pretty easy, and a good start. If only you had some more time! Keep it up!

Nice game! A little too precise, I assume, for the casual gamer. It would've also been nice to unlock all the levels up front for the game jam, so we could get to see everything. This was definitely more fun than I expected!

Super satisfying, intuitive platformer! I got stoked once the double jump was introduced. The level design and checkpoints definitely showed a lot of maturity as a designer, and I thoroughly enjoy the whole experience!

Awesome crazy taxi game, I got 195 as my best score. I loved both jumping on and getting hit by cars. Only moment of confusion was when I found a drop off location before a package, it told me to press E, and I was like wtf its not working? Anyway, this was super fun and had some definite replay value. Nice work all around!

Nice creative puzzle-y game! I loved the concept, just wish it was easier to use, like if I could pick up actions that I placed by mistake, or if the actions I just placed would stay after I failed. really nice job with this one!

once I understood what to do, It was fun! seems very bare bones, and I'm pretty sure I found at least 1 bug after creating the orange object and pressing z I couldn't make another. Anyway, I beat all the levels and kind of wish there was more! Nice.

Nice creative game! The art and music were solid too. I just wish everything was a little faster, otherwise, I very much enjoyed every aspect!

I love the gimmick of throwing the robot! This game is pretty silly, and I like it. not sure what happened, but after I got out of the car and started fighting/dodging the laser shooting robots, I died and then respawned outside the level and just fell endlessly. Anyway, I had fun!

fun little start to the game - everything seems polished except for the challenge XD

I'll give it another play and see if I can figure out how to harvest those weird planets!

Fun stuff! Bounce pads make every game better! I wish I had more ammo, other than that it was a great first game! Keep on developing!

Major Jump King vibes, cute and fun little game! The camera was a little weird at times, but everything worked - again tons of fun, and I just wish there was more!

Incredible! this game has a good difficulty scale, and the combat seems so smooth. I loved seeing my accuracy at the end. I would've liked if the enemies dropped healthpacks or something, so I could keep going! Very nice, impressive work!

Interesting metroidvania style game. I loved the cute little robot protagonist! I wish my fire rate was higher, it made it difficult to want to engage in combat, but I think you've got a lot of potential! Keep it up!
