This is a gem! The movement is very well made, it feels nice, which is always a plus in a platformer :)

The levels are nicely made, soundtrack and art is nice, like it overall

Thank youu!

EXCELLENT! So many great points here, guys! Congratulations!  Level design is superb, very intuitive, challenges are well set and expectations are met... Wonderful work, altogether.

Soundtrack is on point, too.

Was it intentional to have the cracks on the walls similar to the spikes that killed you? That's an interesting design choice.

I liked the art as a whole, although I came in expecting it to be darker, grittier. Real zip is kinda cute.

Mechanics are awesome, the way you grip on the walls, double jump...

Thank you for sharing!

Hey, huge thanks for all the kind comments! All of our art was made by our artist Kyle so I can't speak on that point or clarify anything. Our initial idea was to make a bit of a darker and grittier game but this is how it turned out. We're so very glad you liked our game, thanks for the feedback!

The movement on this one is really well implemented! I liked how the abilities were introduced as well. Art is very well made.

thanks a lot for the comment! I'm glad you enjoyed it

Super satisfying, intuitive platformer! I got stoked once the double jump was introduced. The level design and checkpoints definitely showed a lot of maturity as a designer, and I thoroughly enjoy the whole experience!

thanks a ton! we're glad you liked it. This was my first ever game and thus my first try at level design so I'm immensely satisfied to know you enjoyed it

Pretty fun! I liked the size of the map and the ability to slide against wall. The jumping mechanic didn't really work for me, but I see from other comments you've replied to that it might be something with WebGL causing this.

I also noticed that the hitbox for the spikes was very generous, so could find a bunch of corners to stand on which made some platforming that probably were intended to be hard a bit easier. I think with my games too big hitboxes, and your games a bit to small ones we should try and aim for somewhere in the middle for whatever next game we make ;)

Good job!

Thanks man! I am glad you enjoyed it... thanks for the opinion on the hit boxes!

Cool game! There are some things you could still improve, but it was a very fun game!

Please go further with this information! We would like to know ways we can improve our project!

Jumping seemed to me too unintuitive and random, like I could suddenly jump higher than usual, but when I needed it at the beginning of the game I could not jump on the high platform near the clue j

I pressed J and sprawled, but it was not enough and I banged my head against the wall a lot of times.

Developer

It's a problem with WebGL, it eats inputs and only jumps you to the appropriate height like a third of the time. We had to increase the jump values so the platforming sections were still doable without too much hassle. I'm sorry this was a problem for you but the game plays perfectly inline

The level felt kinda huge to me and I struggled trying to get over some spikes with the jetpack so that's as far as I got (Like really struggled 15+ tries, kinda struggled) but still it plays really nice.

Developer

Thanks for the kind comment! I wanted to make the levels gradually more difficult for people who are good at platformers to still have a decent challenge, the problem is mostly with WebGL making jump inputs inconsistent. I added many checkpoints near the harder jumps to make it more doable.

The level is indeed big but it's only one level. The initial idea for the game and the direction we may bring it towards in the future is a Metroidvania, we just couldn't adapt that into the jam submission for scope reasons.

it was very cool ! loved the graphics.
The music stopped after playing for a while which is sad :(
otherwise the mechanics are great and i really liked the checkpoints everywhere :)

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

The point where the music "stops" is actually a song transition, it's just the fade is not well made and the volumes are kinda swayed. Thanks for the kind comment!

Oh so the volume of the 2nd song is really low, i didn't heard it sorry x)

I think it was a little bit too hard, specially with the wall jumps, but otherwise great game!

Developer(+1)

It's hard to find a good point for difficulty since many playtesters told me the levels were quite easy while others were kinda struggling. I'm glad you enjoyed it though!
