Really well done! I am incredibly impressed by the graphics and the last section of the game! (No spoilers haha) wonderful work!

Thank you so much for the review, and congratulations on erecting the monument!
We have a number of ideas we plan on adding after the Game Jam (Including different factions, and Quests for certain depths!) so we hope you can check it out then! :)
Sidenote: I plan on checking out your game later this week! Mole games have to stick together haha
Thank you for playing the game, and your review!
As someone who gets a bit overwhelmed with the "Everything wants to murder you" style of platformers (Except a few things) we wanted it to be more about the exploration and the destination.
I really appreciate your kind words about the graphics! It was a lot of fun being able to play around with pixel art, create my own assets, and animate sprites for the first time!
Unfortunately due to time I missed a few objects I needed to update, however, I hope to go back in and update those after the game jam is over! Till then, I hope you enjoyed Greenrose's programmer art haha!
One of the first things that drew me in was your logo/header, and it continued to impress me as I played the game! It has me inspired for the next game jam! The music fit nicely with the theme, and set the tone throughout.
I will admit, the amount of text was a bit for me to overcome as someone who struggles to consume large amount of text at a time. It may have helped a little if the narrator/other characters had different color fonts to seperate it a bit?
Either way, I loved the "Choose your own adventure" aspect, and being able to play it multiple times, and not getting the same game twice! The fighting mechanics as well was awesome!
Love the game! Especially as your first GWJ submission, very well done! I would love to see a full version that has a vs. mode to play with games! I can see myself playing this with a group of friends, trying to be the best archeologist!
My only suggestion would be to be careful of the font for your tutorial, having a bolder black font with a dark blue can muddy the words just a bit, especially with such a bright background.
Once I understood the instructions, I had quite a bit of fun! I did run into a few issues with the audio crunching a bit (It may have just been the browser version).
I will agree with some of the other comments, that there were times were the controls slowed down my experience, however, I feel as though this game has a lot of potential!
