you cant run exe files on chrome

I assume this was refering to the Linux executable which the engine confusingly lables as ExeLinux. I assume chrome can run linux stuff? There is a script to execute (Hyperspace Harvest) that modifies the executable,  can you try runing that instead?

I thought he was referring to the windows file

Hello, I cannot run the game either on Ubuntu 20.04.1 LTS
Running in the terminal gives this message:

ln: failed to create symbolic link 'libpng12.so.0': File exists
./ExeLinux: error while loading shared libraries: libGDCpp.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
./ExeLinux: error while loading shared libraries: libpng12.so.0: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

Same thing is being said for me

Im not exacly sure that i did everything correctly, but im getting that error as well

libpng12.so.0 is ancient. You will have to manually install it on most modern linux distros.

The instructions here worked for me on Ubuntu 20.04.

Yes the library is pretty ancient, and it would be better if it was bundled with the game.

It isn’t, however, too hard to get it running. I mostly just unwrapped the libpng12.so.0 from a deb package (It should be easy enough to google for those) and placed it within the game folder.
