We are still not able to obtain payments from 18 days ago. MODERATORS lie, itch.io is unthrusty platform! they, arichivise threds with lie like answers!!! fuck you
itch does not Pay developers within 1 week of gettin paid from customers
That is correct, we have a fixed timeline about how payouts work to prevent fraud, scams, and other issues to ensure everyone on our platform is operating with minimal risk.
You don’t have any payout requests on your account, so we are unable to even begin the process to send your earnings.
I strongly recommend you read our guide about getting paid here: https://itch.io/docs/creators/payments
And to respond to your other thread, you should familiarize yourself with: How payment processor fees work
If you sell something for 1 dollar, you’re going to end up losing a lot to PayPal and the credit card processor due to how they collect a fixed fee per transaction.
If you’ve decided to remove your content from our platform, please contact support so we can refund all transactions for content on your account. Removing content that people have paid for is not something we can support, so we ask that you either restore the content or you find another platform to use and we can refund all payments that took place.
Thanks
no its not, they took content in form of downlodable files, worth hundrets of dev hours, I dont get even a single $from it and Iam called a scamer, you have very twisted logic ,27people paid 1$ and 1 person paid2$, it makes 29 $,and developers revenue is 3.6$, it means that dev gets 1/8 of gross reveneu, thats stupid as fuck, Steam takes 30% cut, well itch takes 700%
The default is 10%, if it's showing 40% it is because YOU increased it to 40% at some point while having a brain fart. https://itch.io/docs/creators/payments
People paid to get access to the files.
Then you took away their access. You have their money, but they do not have the product they bought. There is no way a refund will not be issued unless you provide the people that paid you access to the content that they paid for. This should be common sense and reflected in consumer protection laws.
oh thats a scam right there on itch part, first of of, i dont have any of their money since 3.6$ from 29$ can not be paidout, I hope all itch servers burn in Hell,, it looks like your UI is designed to scam developers, They see GROSS REVENUE, but the acctual number is 1/8 of it, and itch default cut is 40%
You can change what you give to itch.io mate ~ you can give them nothing if you so wish.
If you think Steam is a more fair platform (which goes against the common opinion), feel free to put your content there instead. Steam take a much bigger cut (30% > 0%; You cannot change how much they take.) and require you to pay 100 dollars for a page.
Welcome to the difference between net and gross revenue.
Reading this might be a good start.
Just because you don't have 3.6$ in your hand doesn't mean itch.io didn't pay you 3.6$. You must reach at least 5$ before you can initiate a payout. What you have at the moment is a future liability for itch.io to pay you 3.60$ when the total reaches at least 5$ and you request a payout.
Also the default itch.io cut is 10%, lying will not help you. All lying about the default itch.io cut will accomplish is deplete your remaining goodwill.
Interesting article here.
Steams 30 cut is actually the industry standard
"Another source also stressed that just because a retailer takes 30% doesn’t mean the developer of the game actually gets the other 70%, saying publishers often earn between 30-70% of a sale themselves depending on the deal that has been struck. There are also engine licensing fees to consider (games that use Unreal have its 5% fee waived if they are sold on the Epic Store), taxes, and other costs not factored into what many people assume the actual creator of a game earns. One source said their takeaway from a physical retailer at the end of the day is often between just 10-15%."
So my guess is that if this game had been sold on steam, instead of 3.6 you'd have...
Drumroll please!
(100-25*.18*0.7)*(4-5)$=-96.85$
