Hello everyone π. I really love this itch.io site, it has been a great place to express my passion for pixel art as well as ramble on about art tutorials. Because of that, I want to showcase my best pixel art here. I have a Pixel Joint account but it's just a huge pile of stash at the moment and only shows thumbnails unless you click on them... so I'm just going drop them here instead for all to see!
Backgrounds
Maximo: Ghosts to Glory
Maximo: Ghosts to Glory was an old PS2 game I used to play a TON as a kid. I would speed run the entire game 2 times a day because it only took 4 hours to beat, but it was a lot of fun. Not to be mistaken with the "Ghosts n' Goblins" or "Super Ghosts n' Ghouls" games though! This was a 3d platformer you can see here at timestamp 2:40 but it was more or less part of the same universe.
The Terror of Caelid
These two scenes below are based on the Caelid region from Elden Ring. I was a huge fan of how spooky the environments were with the red skies and mold everywhere. Also the most terrifying things about Caelid were the oversized carnivorous creatures roaming around eating whatever living beings they come across so I decided to draw the entire thing. In the back, there are ruins on fire that appear to be associated with the Redmane faction.
This lower image, basically represents my player going all out on one of the giant crow enemies π.
Ashina Mountains
Here we have Sekiro, the one-armed "wolf", viewing at the horizon of the Ashina Mountains.
Hanbei's Shrine
Also taking place in Ashina was Hanbei's Shrine. In the game Sekiro: Shadows die Twice, Hanbei was an undying character by any normal means. He remained by this shrine throughout the entirety of the game and since he couldn't die, he found serving as a combat trainer to be quite fun.
Boko Picnic
This piece is inspired by my adventures throughout the game Zelda: Breath of The Wild. It represents the various grasslands and mountains of post apocalyptic Hyrule. There is a decayed guardian in the center of the lake as well as a Bokoblin just chilling, waiting for that tasty steak to finish cooking.
Forest Waterfall
Here we have a nice peaceful waterfall within a dark forest. I created it for a waterfall study.
Shrine of Storms
This scene depicts the cliffs of the "Shrine of Storms" area from Demon's Souls. In the sky you see Storm Beasts, which we're basically giant flying sting rays that would try to launch their stingers at players passing by.
Resident Evil 2 Mockup
This mockup is based on the original Resident Evil 2. Taking place after the zombie outbreak, it depicts Leon Kennedy making his way to the Raccoon Police Department encountering some zombies as well as Gun Shop Kendo.
Monsters/Creatures/Characters
Killer Coconut
With this creature, it was kind of an interesting thought process that went into creating it. I originally knew I want to draw a treant/plant based creature except it was supposed to be an offspring variant so I thought, why not make it look like a seed? I started drawing it and realized it ended up looking like a coconut due to the splintery texture and so I gave him what appears to be a palm tree for his hair π.
Necro Summons
These next three monster designs were somewhat inspired by the Diablo series, specifically the undead summons from the games. I call them the Blood Hulk, Bloodbane Skeleton, and Boneserker! I really like drawing skulls by the way.
Blood Hulk
Bloodbane Skeleton
Boneserker
Yeti-Shroom
This creature was heavily inspired by the Yeti from Final Fantasy 14 but also by some maple story mushrooms. The result is a little terrifying to look at but very awesome.
God of War Cyclops
This is one of the more common cyclops enemies from the God Of War Series.
The 'Noids!
The Tyhrannoids are were one of my favorite alien factions from the Ratchet and Clank series.
Super Tyrant
Mr. X from Resident Evil 2... if he was a super tyrant.
Asylum Demon
The very first boss encounter of the original Dark Souls. He watches over the undead asylum and makes sure none escape.
Well if you've made it to the bottom of this post, thanks for checking out my art! That's it for now, but I'll add more stuff later!
