Guys, I want to reach out to a dev, I commented under his game, but he wont get back to me, is there a way to find out his email?

itch.io intentionally does not force developers to have a way to be contacted, with the exception of paid content. If you have purchased something then we can facilitate communication through our support system.

It’s the developers choice to determine if and how they want to be contacted when they publish a page on our platform.

Why do we work this way? For game developers it’s often a “one-to-many” relationship where a single developer (or small group) may end up becoming responsible for managing the relationship with a many people (their players). There are many scenarios where this can become overwhelming or even hostile for the developer. For that reason why let developers decide how they want to interact with their community, if at all. Please respect the developer’s decision and do not harass them if they don’t want to be contacted.

If he doesn't want to get back to you, let it be. Developer emails are private if they don't publish them on the game page. If you have a problem with a developer you can always contact itch.io's support team.

Speaking of which, check out the support page, developer e-mails are listed there for the games you own. But remember that people are busy and/or might not check itch.io so often.

Maybe you should give him more than one hour to get back to you, he could be sleeping or at work for all that we know...

And just maybe he doesn't want to publish his e-mail either, as I know the spambots will just love it.

That's why I stopped publishing on Google Play, they require developers list a contact email on the game page and ten spam years later, after getting suckered into wasting on some crappy publishers and mobile ad networks, I had enough.
