After the fight with Aeran, you can choose to talk to Veyer, Mel or Phaedra. But i believe you can only do that if you are not drunk and you can only meet Veyer specifically if you have impressed them during the meeting with Lethalis. Hope this helps!
Wait, what?! But Aeran has a romance bar in his profile. Where did you read this? If this is true, this hurts me on so many levels, but also makes me not feel slightly guilty that I spent time with Veyer.
The author has a list of romancable characters on their tumblr page and Aeran is not on it. The reason is spoiler, apparently :)
Ahhh, my heart, it hurts! I was so wanting to go down the path of Aeran as my main romance, guess I'll go down the Veyer or Melchior path or one of the characters we don't know yet if they interest me more than those two. But I'm still sad about Aeran.
I'm so confused! my MC slept with him at the end of the last episode and now he's not a LI? 'cry'
Not all companion characters are LI but there are characters that are not part of the main gang yet can be romanced. There also will be characters with whom you can just flirt with or have one night stands with, without them being really LIs. So yeah, just because you can sleep with someone, they might not be romancable.
You have to have either:
If you have +60 approval and a few romance points, you will not be able to trigger either reconciliation scene. You also cannot have told Aeran about the letters (if you found and read them) and you cannot have killed Rhodarth in Episode 1.
When Aeran is introduced in Episode 1, you have to select the option:
#4. You are friends and you are partners. You can’t imagine this life without him at your side. Though nothing romantic has happened between you, you can’t help but wonder…
This is the only chance you have in the game to flag his romance.
If you are playing on an old save (from before Patch 2.6., which required all players to restart their playthroughs), then his romance bar will not show up.
I think it's more for that, I will need to load or see your publish about the patch , thank you so much for the help.
Note: I really love the writing style and the introduction to this world, in every suspense moment I thought I was living it myself is fantastic as how to know to handle suspense and surprises, you have an excellent job between your hands. (If I'm incorrect with something is because I'm not native of english, I'm learning about the language)
I found out about this today, I'm really sad about it, but I think that i'll write a fanfic and be happy about this... and go for Ren, or another character. The game is too good, this break my heart the same way the Dragon age origin Dalish elf start did. But I'm sad... Aeran is too great, he remember me for another characters but with his personal touch.
I'm sorry you lost your saves. Unfortunately the name can't be changed as it's part of the engine and isn't editable. It's a core part of how SugarCube functions and all Twine SugarCube games work like this. Browser saves and Save to Disk saves are separate entities; as outlined in the Troubleshooting Game Launch & Save Errors guide, Save to Disk only saves your current session on the passage you are currently on. If you are backing up browser saves, you need to load each save and save them individually, it cannot be done en masse.
Thank you for the reply. I didn't know about the problem the engine. Maybe you could add the info about how the saves work in the tutorial? At the start of the game when the save functions are pointed out maybe? I found a lot of other players with the same issue and maybe that problem could be easily prevented somehow. Thank you for this really nice experience, I did enjoy spending time with "Wayfarer" alot. :)
