Quite the fun game. have to work really hard to get power tho.
if only killing enemies grants some kind of power to boost defence/farming.
summons probably need some balancing,
gargoyles need some way to use all of em at once.

We are considering the addition of a ""tower"" in the outside area to kill enemies automatically so players can focus on making runes, using gargoyles only for dangerous situations (increasing their power, their delay and automatizing reload). By doing that, you can focus on runes to farm power for upgrading.

About summons, yes, you are right. The attacker one probably needs more attack power, it is almost useless at the end xD.

Is the game meant to be this difficult? Took me 3-4 deaths to get to level 3 runes

Sorry for late answer, i though itchio would advice me when a new reply appears, it seems not xD

The game will be easier, but we are showing it in some events, and we had some problem with people taking to long to death, so we tried to make it a little harder. But maybe we did to hard XD

In that case I'd suggest making it easier in the beginning, but it can scale harder lategame faster for the veterans. 

It's pretty brutal for a new player, but after the initial difficulty spike it doesn't get too much worse.

Yeah, you're right, I will try in the next update for an easier start even if it becomes more difficult later.

Really cool game :) Is the gargoyle meant to have uncapped range? It seems that I can drag it "too far" for it to fire and it caused my death a few times since I wasn't able to readjust to the right distance from the wall in time...

No, the gargoyles have a limit, witch reachs almost screen end. This is because are 3 kind of enemies, melee, range and support. Each one stay in diferent distances and gargoyle need to reach all of them.

A few suggestions:

  • The game is way too hard at the moment 😅 I have been optimizing my runs each time further, but whenever the knight comes, I'm just not strong enough to defeat them.
  • There should be an upgrade to reload all gargoyles at the same time.
  • And one upgrade to be able to not have to reload the gargoyle completely before attacking.

You are beeing really helpfull xD

  • We are adding now a shadow who attacks constantly the enemies from the start, this will make the game easier
  • With this new change the gargoyles will be less important, only for emergency situations, becouse this, the will have a autorecharge when tou docked it and you will can move even though you are reloading.
  • This point will be solve with above solution ;p

With this changes you will be able to focus on rune and spending resources upgrading that autoattack shadows so you still alive

Ok let's give the shadow a try 😁 I actually like how the game starts as drawing runes and once you get the last auto-complete, you have to focus on defense and managing troups.

I don't know if something did really change but it seems to me like the golden knight has become way too strong. One swing of its sword removes something like 16 HP.  Can you ease that? 😅

We didn't touch the golden knight, It's still the same as before. But we know that the enemies are now quite unbalanced and we'll try to fix that.

So far we have added several new things, such as shadows. These changes have forced us to introduce other mechanics, lengthening a little the time before the update.
