idea for trees to be able to be choped down so we wuld make straight path for example generators for easy atv ride  and if someone is stubborn he culd chop down all trees to chop down tree 50-100 hits from crowbar or new tool chainsaw that wul take 30 seconds to chop down tree fuel capacity wuld be enough for 10 trees

isnt the satellite dish array located in a national park? so logically it would be illegal to chop down the trees.

How would it be legal to put large concrete and steel structures in a national park

The government (or whatever other organization sponsors ASO) has enough money and or influence to be above the law.
Dr.Kell does not.

I personally think this should be a feature with a specific tool you can buy/find (like a chainsaw, as you say), and it would give more purpose to the woodchipper to be able to clean up the debris after, but the more you chop, the more one of the anomalous radar pings goes from ambient and interesting to scary and malicious (I'm sure those who know which one I'm talking about would agree it would fit- maybe even start to overpopulate the map or grown in size/shape)

to elaborate on my answer "no.", the trees are all 1(one) object, to make it not laggy, making breakable trees means seperating all trees, which would in turn make game laggier

well there's been a new tree mesh test for many versions now, presumably the map is getting totally rebuilt like the base did which is presumably slow going- but yes, current map is all sharing one render of trees and ground, which is probably a big reason why it also kinda runs like shit

It won't make much sense. When you chop down a tree, does the tree magically disappear? No, it leaves a stump. And realistically, you won't get rid of a stump that easily. So you'll still be bumping into the trees as you drive your ATV... Just the lower half of them.

I'd personally rather have the outside area of the main base completely inaccessible for any player modifications except adding "outer layer" things like placing boxes and ramps to jump across the river. It'll leave more room for the dev to make cool/scary things without constantly keeping in mind that the player might do something in this exact coordinate that would ruin the event.

The trees arent a problem for me on the atv. Id rather be able to destroy all those god dang logs and rocks sprinkled all over the ground.
