Restore previous version of the Site

Hello, and sorry to be a bother so soon after joining.

Friend of mine and I have uploaded a silly game for a gamejam. I updated the site but he must've had the edit site open too, and he, unknowingly (I hope) replaced all the edits I did.

Is there a version history of the site where we can recover it?.

Thanks in advance.

itch.io doesn’t maintain versions of page contents at this time. If you edit a page to remove or replace the textual content there is no way to recover it.

If I understand correctly, it refers to the website and not the game file and to my knowledge, it is not possible to upload or modify the game page using buttler.

Ah, whoops, I misread the post. Thanks for clarifying

You can try to contact support, but it might not be possible.

Hi.

Itch doesn't have any version management system built in. All changes are final. The admin has said that if you delete a page, it might be possible to recover it if you contact support, but if you edit it, I think it will be impossible.

You can try to contact support directly, but I see that as unnecessary, support has quite a few tickets to deal with every day and it's unlikely that they'll answer you quickly and even less likely that they'll be able to recover a previous version.

Personally, I think the quickest way would be to edit the page again.

EDIT:
Sorry "No time to play" I see you answered while I was writing.

Thanks everyone. In the end, we uploaded a broken version doing last minute changes, so the page ended up being the least of the problems :D We learn a little each time. Thank you for the replies in any case
