Fake Ratings Attacks

Hi everyone,

I’m facing an issue with my game, “SpongeBob’s Evil Clone 2.” Recently, the game reached the popular page, which was really exciting. However, I’ve noticed that some accounts are being created just minutes before they rate the game one star. This has now happened four  times and it is increasing , with very little time between the incidents.

It’s really disheartening to see this kind of behavior. I believe these ratings are unfair and are affecting the visibility and perception of the game.

I reported the reviews, but will they be deleted?

If the staff determines that these reviews are an attack, they will be deleted.

Unfortunately, there is no way to stop the people behind this, so it is possible that this will continue to happen to you in the future.

One solution is to turn off the option to rate your game.

I am almost sure these reviews are fake because literally all of the accounts that did it were created just minutes before they reviewed.
And as shown in the screenshot, there is very little time between each one.
The problem is that this may be a regular tactic by some developers whose games are on the popular page. They might do it to get ahead of other games or to prevent other games from surpassing them. Alternatively, it could just be someone trying to cause harm.

If I continue to receive reviews like this, I may turn off the option to rate the game, as you suggested.

Thank you so much.

When we process fraudulent activity for removal it we typically do it in bulk. Submit your reports for the ratings and please wait for staff to review those pages.

Thanks

Thank you so much! They are just deleted. I really appreciate it

Confusion? Maybe the create the accounts to rate it after downloading it which doesn't require an account even then its unfair still cause iv seen alittle bit of it on youtube and stuff and its seems really fun and funny but scary also

I actually saw the accounts, and they were created just minutes before rating the game. As far as I know, you need an account to rate the game. But gladly, they just got deleted thanks to the staff

Thank you so much! I’m really glad you liked it.

Np btw im tryna learn how to make games if you dont mind can you teach me or atleast give me a chance to help you and learn ToT

Believe me, no one can teach you how to make games. you have to learn by yourself. For me, the best approach is to watch the basics from some course on YouTube *just the basics* and then stop. After that, start making small games and publish them here. You learn a lot after each project.

For now, I really don’t need any help. But if you want, you can join my Discord server, and if I need someone, I will make sure to contact you.

Thanks, and I hope to see a game you made published here! 🫡🫡

I decided to disable the ratings, and I recommend you to do the same if your game is ideologically sensitive or you are in conflict with conflicting people.

I am actually monitoring the ratings. If I notice it starts to happen again, I will disable the ratings.

Thanks!
