Future development goals?

For those interested in sharing... I was wondering if you wanted to talk about some of your future goals in regards to project development?

For me, I'd like to make a lot of small releases, and also develop and release another platforming game in order to attempt to perfect the formula better. After that, I'd like to attempt to release an RTS at some point.

Making something that's isn't exclusive to html5 would certainly be a step in the right direction for me, but I don't want to end up using some engine where I cannot even play the game on my own system *coughelectroncough*.  I have managed to tackle RPGs, platformers, puzzle, arcade, and shmups.  I would like to try my hand on some old school style rts as well, down the road, given I already have experience with making a mouse-based game and building stuff on a map (courtesy of a tower defense game I made...  should probably update the code and put it on here, some day).  However, I know little-to-nothing about making it multiplayer.

Ima just continue making games, "big" and small. I'd like to switch to Godot, but I'm so used Gamemaker(Studio 1) which does everything I need. I'd rather spend my time making games than learning a new engine. I would like to incorporate more of my hand-drawn art more instead of pixelart. Genre-wise I'm all over the place, and sometimes think it would be better to concentrate on one, but nah.

I want to make larger games which features not just more stages/levels but also deep gameplay. I made Contra fangame 10 years ago but I used unoriginal assets so I want to do it with original assets in the future.

My goals for game development are to make some 3d horror games with unreal engine and complete 'teddy bear 1'.

Other than that my long term goals include making an operating system, making advanced AI and a lot of other cool things.

For now, I plan to create smaller horror games to gain experience, develop more skills, and experiment with different styles. Ultimately, I would like to make bigger and more complex projects. I have a few ideas in mind, but I feel they would not turn out that good at this point.

I’d like to get that RPG of mine finished one of these days :D

I plan to make a vertical slice/ demo level for the game I’m working on and release it here. I’m working on coding the framework and 3d modeling the world currently. Whenever I finish that and finish the first 7? or so levels I’d like to release it and release more levels later on. I might release it on steam at some point, but I’m nervous about feedback as it’s my first 3d game and I’m a hobbyist. This project is my main focus, the first thing I made was a get-it-out-of-my-system type deal and I’m very grateful people enjoyed something so personal. I just want my games to put some good out in the world. :-D
