Yummy in my tummy

Really cute! Kinda relaxing too.

Since it's a game were you customize your own aquarium, I suggest to add more color to the game. All the plants are just green... ok, I know that make sense, but maybe adding some underwater flowers would be really pretty!

Anyway, nice work!

Heck yeah! Red root floaters, Red Tiger Lotus, and Caloglossa Beccarii are on my list of "want to add plants" I think it would be awesome to have a red grow jar! I think the red will contrast the green plants super nicely. Thank you for your feedback!!

Such a comfy game. Pacing could use some work but you've already addressed it in other comments. Beautiful pixel art.

Nice job!

Thank you so much for the kind words and feedback! Yeah for sure agree with the pacing! using real plants has a natural challenge making gameified pacing but we already got some solutions in the work🔧Also I could of sworn I responded but maybe I forgot to hit send or it slipped into the void?? Forgot Haha sorry for the delayed response!!

This comment made my day!! I am sosososSO happy to hear you liked my devlog I was really hoping it would help everyone and the positive reaction made writing it so worth it!! :D I am greatly looking forward to making the next batch of plants. Thank you so much for your kind words!

Very calming experience, although a little toooo calming at times, and the wait time/clicks required for later plants feels a little punishing :) Considering the premise, running the game in the background when minimized would help it feel like your plants grow on their own. The sound design is very well done and the music well suited to the experience. I really like all the plant artwork and it felt fun filling up my tank. Even a simple feature like flipping the sprites when putting them in your tank could go a long way. This has the bones of a neat little simulator with a lot of possibilities. Really nice work!

thank you so much for your feedback!! I completely agree with everything you said!  Espescially the plant flipping! Thats a plan we have for a future update for sure, looking forward to figuring that one out!

The plants are coded to grow even if the application is closed, so you dont have to minimize it or leave it running! You can close it if you like and they will still grow on their own! :D

Really appreciate you taking the time to give such an awesome comment! Thank you!!

Great and fun game!

Theme: Yes, absolutely. The gorgeous graphics is one thing, and the watery sound effect is the other.
Fun: Um, I gotta tell ya, it's a grind. The 4th plant, which you place in a new tank, takes sooo many clicks to grow. I didn't even know that it grows passively, until reading the game page's "how to play." The bar never even moves for me. Maybe that's not intentional? So, the game is an insane clicker-game with very little reward to incentivize all that clicking.
Mechanics: It's mechanically sound, as in there's no noticable bugs. But there is a lot of room for growth.
Music & Sounds: Sounds great!

thank you for the feedback! Super awesome to here the kind words. The graphics were so much fun to work on since Kibo_Bea was on programming I got to give the art my all!

We have alot of ideas to add on to it, maybe fertalizer? I plan to poll to see what sort of features people would like to see next! Its a hard balancing act because I see the theme as "patience is rewarding" but sometimes you just want to make a pretty display tank now...  I worry adding to many clicker elements may start taking away from the idle game aspect? Polls and beta testing will definitely help decide the direction!

The amazon sword is a toughy, definitely going to be a more of a "final boss" in future updates when there are more plants... It takes weeks to show signs of growth and months to get to full size, you wont see progress in the bar till its left for quite some time.... But I heard of how popular of a plant this was and it looks so pretty I had to still include it!

I believe that plan grows so slow (espescially in comparison to some of the fastest aquarium plants I could find to include for the early jam stages)  that there is no visual progress for a while. Unless you leave it for a few weeks and the progreess bar hasnt moved at all? IF it's left for a month if there is still no change though it's definitely broken... If its not to much trouble we would really appreciate an update in a few weeks time to confirm if its a bug or not! No preasure though the feedback you gave was already awesome!

Thank you so much for taking the time and energy to leave such a thoughtfull comment it means the world!

Nice art! Would like it if I could see the growing animation by itself, maybe at the end of the game? Also, you kind of spoiled what the full-grown tank would look like from the screenshots… Maybe show a half-grown tank and let the player discover the full-grown one?

ohhh great points I really appreciate the feedback! The growing time-lapse was intended but we ran out of time hopefully something for a future update!!

I'd pay real money for a wallpaper/screensaver version where the plants grow over time. Really beautiful art!

Developer(+1)

I would absolutely LOVE to make that a feature if possible thank you so much for the feedback!!
