Chill lil game, I didn't get many bigguns though lol Visuals and sound are enjoyable and I found the whole experience rather calming. One small complaint is the splash/ripple above where the line is feels wrong, like it should be more where the line changes color instead of above the end of the line. Nice entry overall though, enjoyable game!
Also why isn't anyone telling us what fish they caught ? >:|

Thanks for the kind words! Yeah, the ripple actually was at correct place during development but it ended up looking more confusing so we unrealistically moved it to where the lure is.
Very chill game, and a lot more fun than i expected haha, the vibes are pretty cool and the only actual criticism i have is that the movement is kinda rough, and i've appreciated a "line" when throwing your (rope?) like in angry bird games, that's very minor, though! Overall, it's honestly one great game! Keep it up!
I really liked that one, clean visuals and very chill game, my biggest fish was 10.65kg which I actually caught after the end of the game's timer x)

At the beginning, I struggled with the boat movement, but once I got used to it, it was a smooth and relaxing fishing experience. Good job!
I don't mean to flex on all the other commenters (I do) but I got an 18.87kg pike! We used the same font in our games, so you clearly have great taste. I liked the vibe a lot, the fishing mechanic was relaxing and enjoyable once you caught a fish. The motorboat was adorable and fun to ride around. I liked when the little dude turned to like a profile view angle. I felt like I was up in the Northwoods of Wisconsin.
I had a little trouble with how to cast the first time I played, it was kinda tough to aim or get a sense of how powerful the cast was about to be. I also thought that the fish bubbles were too quick, I'd usually spot them while I was waiting for a fish to bite, and by the time I reeled in and recast it was gone.

Thanks and nice pike! You don't need to hit the splashes spot on and right then. It still works for quite a while after the animation has finished. It was left as kinda deliberately vague mechanic :)
Such a fun game. Happy to have played it. I wonder what the biggest possible fish can be. My biggest was 14.95 Kg.

Very cute! I was easy fishin' for sure. The rowing is cute and reminiscent of old games. A few times, I would cast and the line would fly off screen into the grass.

Great, but short, fishing game! I thought hmm, how should I attempt to get a good catch? I positioned my boat to where I could do a really long cast toward the center of the pond, the darker water, and, caught a 18kg pike.
the game ended sorta abruptly. I had a fish on the line when the end screen came up. I was able to still reel in the next fish, but couldn't see what it was. Small detail, considering that expanding on the game would mean making it not game over yet, of course. Good game, unfinished

I love that you implemented a a line tension and fish fatigue system! The game is also quite cozy feeling.

Love the sounds of the engine :) I caught a perch! I also had one really great moment where I cast the line all the way off screen. I had trouble getting him to cast it consistently so that was quite a surprise!
