This was pretty bold for a 1week jam, congratulationd on your game its pretty good!

I think this is pretty good for a tech demo! The concept is cool, and I can definitely imagine a full game using the snap mechanic well. The monochrome art style fits really well with the idea of only "seeing" things through echolocation, and the minimalistic sound gives a good atmosphere. The main criticism here is just how little there is to the game; in a full game, it would be cool if there were some mechanics which take advantage of the fact that your character is blind, like noise sources which effectively blind you due to an excess of sound. Also, while I appreciated the note that the letters were originally in braille, it was probably unnecessary to put it at the end of all the notes; I assumed as much after the first one. Other than that, looking forward to seeing if this gets a fully realized version down the line!

Amazing consept. I want to see the full game with echo mechanic. Also the game reminded me of "Blind Monk Society" mod for HL2.

Thanks for playing!if i turn it into a full game i will definetly look at this Hl2 mod for some inspiration, again thanks!

The mechanics is really good, the sfx too! I love that you made a first person game in 1-Bit.

Overall the game is awesome! Amazing work :)

Really great concept, would love to see you go further with this! My only real feedback is that it would be nice to be able to skip the text for the letters or press E to advance to the full text displayed as I found the speed at which the letters revealed was very slow. Also, restarting the text over when you press interact meant it took me several times to get through the first letter since there is a long delay between the last letter revealing and when it will let you take the note. Pretty minor issue though and the flavor was worth getting through that.

That was great! Obviously I wish there was a bit more, but time restraints etc. etc.

It was really cool to see someone do a 3D game that wasn't using the dithering/Obra-Dinn style visuals. It makes you stand out and simplicity and clean-ness fit with echo-location perfectly. Overall the atmosphere was solid, I particularly liked the rain outside that was a good detail.

Nice work!

I dont think there is a need to talk about how great the echo-location is since everyone in the comments already said my exact thoughts on it. Overall it is really great. Sadly games like yours and mine dont get as much attention because of having to be downloaded, so I hope your game gets the attentions it should get. Great job!

I've thought about doing games based on echo-location before, so it's cool to see someone else's take on it! I would have liked to see mechanics based on it, as the current state is nothing more than being a bit inconvenient to walk around, but I know that time constraints get us all.

The game looks very nice, the art and sound design working well together to create a atmosphere for the player.

The story was very abrupt and short which I assume was due to time constraints. It could use some proofreading though as there were quite a few typos.

I liked how everything in the game very politely waiting for you to finish reading and to "see" what was going to happen with your snapping haha.

Great job finishing the jam!

Would love to see this expanded on to a full release.

This game had an interesting if not entirely unique mechanic of being able to see only for a specific period of time if you did an action(in this case clicking fingers). It didnt feel particularly well utilized though. Other games such as the Lost Tomb(or Lone Tomb?) used the mechanic in a way that actually added to gameplay. While it is obviously the case this is a simple walking simulatorwith a very short and somewhat eh uninteresting plot I think if your going to add something in you should utilize it. The story for what it is is not very good or interesting. However, the ending sequence with the gun was very effective and presented extremely well. The sound design in this game, while minimalist was superb. the visual presentation was basic but striking and created a more engaging experience for what otherwise would have been extremely boring. Overall I would say this game excels in its presentation but fails to create meaningfull experiences with either gameplay or story making for a rather forgettable experience overall.

totaly agree with everything here,i realy wanted to add more puzzles to the game to actualy engage the player and i actualy had a few planned but i scraped them due to time constraints,i also think the story could very mutch be improved with a little more environmental story telling through objects(like the shovel in the last room)and maybe some choices that make for different endings, regardeless i would actualy say i am proud of how it turned out as my first  attempt at telling a story but i will definetly take your tips into consideration for my next projects, thank you!

Very cool concept! I liked the echolocation mechanic. I felt like the story was going to be a slow-build, but it ended suddenly. I wanted to explore more or see another mechanic! Nice work
