What a cure little representation of playing tabletop with your gramps!

I ended up locked into the strategy of crippling the enemy with explosions until Mr. death god supreme did 0 - 5 damage or so lmao. Still was fun, the pixel art was nice!

good job on beating the boss! Its very fun to see all the various strategies people used to beat it (: glad you had fun!

The presentation quality is super impressive.

Really enjoyed the characters and dialogue.

Gets fairly difficult, but the light / dark mechanic in combat is very clever.

Wow, good job! Really cool game, I like both the oldschool RPG style, and the storytelling, characters having a game session is really cool, the art is great, so is the music, great job, the only thing I didn't like were crabs, omg those guys and their defence, literaly took longer than the final boss (I lost to him, but still :P), the game in general is too long for a game jam in my opinion, but I played through the entirety of it, and I don't regret it. Well done!

The light meter is such a unique mechanic and a great take on the theme. I had fun playing. Good job!

Wow! what a great game!!

Personally i would make the initial tutorial and explanation a bit shorter, maybe learn as you go, regardless though it was really fun, one of the best in the Jam so far for me as well.

Conceptually this is by far the coolest game in the Jam that I've played so far. It's so simple, but so inventive and engaging! It helps that all the dialogue is so colorful and charming,  despite only seeing the back of their heads there's so much life to the three main characters. I found the actual battle system to be very very fun, it was straight forward, easy to learn but with a lot of nuance to it that made battles very enjoyable. Loved this!

I think this is a really brilliant and adorable idea, brought to life by wonderful art and some charming writing.

The gameplay itself has huge potential. I love the light/dark shared resource mechanic and the variety of moves available and enemies to fight is really impressive. However, I think it needs more meat as fights became tedious as the difficulty ramped up and I'm afraid to say I didn't make it to the end.

Don't want to end on a sour note so I'll reiterate that so much of this is just fantastic, definitely a hidden gem of the jam so far and something I'd be very interested in an expanded, touched up version of.

thanks a lot for the feedback! Yeah I agree with needing more moves 🙃 I actually had planned to have unlockable skills along the story you can pick from after battles, like a roguelike. Unfortunately it did not make the cut due to the time limit!

Glad you enjoyed the game 😀
