Path of LightRidiculously cute game! Excellent art and music and very creative use for the jam's theme.
Ship felt a little confusing to control at the start, but once I got used to it, it wasn't a problem anymore.

Thrust Master DelightPoor kittens, I saved 44 of them ! I feel like it could have add some meaning if you added a deadline, like a bar that gets refilled each time you save a kitten. It could also maybe give bonuses, like enhancing vision or improving speed for a short distance? Still great work for a one-week game jam !

Yea, initially the plan was have endless waves of cat spawns as well as escalating difficulty via new creatures appearing. I also thought that having too many cats get shark-attacked would cause a fail state, similar to boat health, and the timer was to track how long you survived.
Scope changed to meet the deadline and the timer is a hold over from that.
Will see what I can get added in the weeks post-jam :)
