Very cool atmosphere, but very hard game.

Here I recorded a video playing some 1-Bit games (yours is the second one, starts from 3:00):

Cool game, the game makes you move faster without long thinking, very interesting gameplay, good job)

The pace of this game is very interesting, on one hand not having the entire screen in full vision at all times tends to make the player wanna slow down and think  and observe carefully before making their next decision, but the added element of a hellish blob chasing you puts a pin in the pace that the player would wanna go in. I quite like what you're going for here but I do think maybe if Sir Blob moved a bit slower the pace would be just right. Cuz as it is, I'm more so inclined to trial and error my way through it and then memorize as I fail, rather than explore the unknown with the an added tension of a monster chasing me.

I think there could def be a perfect middle ground between the pace of the player and the pace of the game, which would really make this game absolutely shine. Still a really cool experience as is tho!

Cool concept, very fleshed out!

I tried to play it in 3 browsers. Couldn't get it to work. Any ideas?

sorry for the issues but its working fine for me and my friends, is it just this game or every game in this jam?

Just this one. Not sure why. I'll download it when I get to my personal compute

Nice platformer and nice take on the theme! Graphics are simple yet amazing and the sounds in the background fit the atmosphere quite well :D
Since I am very bad at platforming, I died quite a lot xD -  having a difficulty option in the future would be nice! :)

Good game, I like the concept! ^^

Great game, I liked the aesthetics of it. You did good!

The gameplay is very stable and fun to play, it is a little bit hard but that's ok.

I also really enjoyed the pixel art style and a fun platforming experience. Hope you expand on this game in the future!

Thanks for the nice feedback! im happy that you enjoyed our game even if it is quite difficult

I didn’t have enough patience to finish the game after screwing up on the second level, but overall - that’s a great platformer!

Developer

thanks for the feedback! i know the game is very hard, i should have added checkpoints.

I *love* the art, it is very cute! The controls feel tight and fun to play! I do wish there were saves though, because playing the whole game over again feels a little annoying.

Also, is there music in the platforming scene? I feel like I hear something faint but it's very hard to tell.

Developer

thanks for the feedback! yeah there is music in the platforming scene but i saw its very quiet.

This is a unique game! My only critique is that you add save points because I got to the second level, died, and then had to restart. But, apart from that, I really liked it! Great job!
