I really loved the simplistic art! The game was very intuitive (Awesome job!). I had a very fun time trying to figure the puzzles out. Your theme usage was great. It is the best theme usage of reflections. Actually it is the best used single theme. The audio was fitting, but a little weird.  Overall very strong entry, good job, and keep it up!

EDIT: Your game was very one-bit.

Developer

Thanks Guille! :) I thought simple was the best way to go for such a short time period. I think I'll release a quality update next week. It'll probably have some more levels to play and more art to see.

Great idea! I loved how the mirrors were shown twice in the tutorial levels before they actually became relevant to the gameplay, it really hooked me on the concept since I was wondering how they would work. Nice job!

Yes! I'm glad you realised that little trick, it comes from many hours of watching GMTK. Thanks for your review!

Love the idea and execution

Thoroughly enjoyed this. Was a bit confused by the abrupt end but I saw on the page comments why that happened. I would play more of this, great work.

Developer(+1)

I'll probably release an update sometime next week if you're interested.

I'll keep an eye out for it, thanks!

I wasn't sure what to expect from this game, but it sure wasn't a tight, well-conceived environmental puzzler.

The SFX and BGM balance is a little off and that is the ONLY issue with this game. Fantastic work!

Developer (1 edit)

Thanks Stir! Good job with Just One Bite Your comment said that this was *not* a tight well concieved platformer and then you said the only issues where the music and SFX. You might want to edit your comment. :)

I said I don't know what I expected, but [what I expected] wasn't [this, especially not in such a short time frame]. So no, I shan't edit a thing. :3

Ah, I see, thanks for the clarification. You could have said 'I didn't know what to expect from this game, but I sure didn't think it would be a tight well-concieved environmental puzzler...

You're right; I do need to watch my overall clarity. Think my brain was a little fried, lmao.

Sorry for the initial confusion. :>

Developer

Np, thanks for understanding.

Very nice idea! It took me some time to understand I could move those mirrors with the arrows but... overall a very nice puzzle platformer!

Only... at the end I just got a black screen... I hoped in a more satisfying prize for completing the game :)

Well done! :D

Developer

Yeah sorry about the black screen. It has a YOU WIN text, but that doesn't show up sometimes. Unfortunately I had no time to fix that bug, but I know why it happens now. Thanks for the feedback!

What was the meaning, if any, for the game's title. Imago is a very rare term in my experience, symbolizing something like metamorphosis.

Submitted(+1)

I guess "imago" comes from latin... it should mean something like "image", but has also many other meanings... and it's a perfect fit for the "image in the mirror". Very fitting choice!

The puzzles were fun, the mirror mechanic quite creative and the progression felt really good.
Good job!

Developer

Thanks! I'm happy how it turned out.
