I think this game could be a nice learning experience for pixel art noobs like me.
As mirroring things is easy but not too easy you can probably learn some pixel art patterns this way.
Nice work!

Developer

Yeah, that's right. Thanks for playing!

The game was a bit boring and slow paced for me right now. It's a cool idea though, what could make the game more interesting is not confining you to pixel art, because the fun of the game is trying to copy the picture it's way to easy on a grid. Very creative, well done.

I really loved the simplistic art! The game was a very simple interpretation of the theme reflections which I loved. I also loved how intuitive your game was. The audio did not work for me (I do not know if it is my computer or if you did not have time to implement audio).  The game was not all that creative; I have seen games like yours before. The game was fun, but it would have been more fun if I could use my mouse. Overall very simple, and fun, good job, and keep it up!

Developer

Thanks for all the feedback. There was only music during the cutscenes, but not on the drawing levels

Okay.

Really nice. Novel game mechanic and interesting story approach, like others have said a nice chill chiptune would have just elevated it even further. Good work!

The pixel painting did give me flashbacks to being buried in Aseprite trying to make tile maps for hours for this jam tho :D

Developer

Thanks, my brother spent ages as well, trying to get the paintings into a 16x16 grid

Using the reflected images to tell a simple story with cutscenes was a really unexpected but fun addition, and the existence of different paths with the hero and the villain was a pretty cool feature.

Being able to use a mouse or something to draw the reflected images would be nice, but I can also appreciate the slow and calming experience offered by using only the keyboard.

I enjoyed the music during the cutscenes, and sound effects or music during drawing would have also been nice.

Overall, I found this game to be pretty charming and enjoyable, good work!

Developer

Thanks for your kind words

Really relaxing game and very relaxing too. I loved the way the drawings were part of the story and you could choose to be the hero or villain. I think maybe adding some sort of background music while drawing would've made it even better

Developer(+1)

Thanks, maybe I'll add that next time

Great execution of the reflection theme! Really enjoyed this submission!

Thank you :)

Really awesome game , never thought one can do that much in a limited time . Really great . It would be more better if i can do like paint without hitting space key that much ... But after all i loved this game

Developer(+1)

Thanks for your feedback. If only I had a few more hours to improve the controls...

Cool idea. Would have been nice if you could hold space bar down to "draw" rather than having to press it for each square—had a bit of a sore thumb by the time I was done >.<

Other than that I enjoyed it. Good work.

Developer(+1)

I don't know why I didn't think of holding down space bar :D Thanks for the suggestion and for playing

Awesome idea , i didn't know what to do at first .. i just started filling all the empty areas .
Later i got to know that i have to mimic the shapes at left.

Developer

Thanks very much :) I did plan to have a tutorial but too little time. Hope it wasn't too hard to figure out the gameplay

Ok... I'm quite sure they were not meaning this for radio...activity!!! :D

Nice game :)

Developer

Thanks, there's also a radiation symbol, just in case :)

Good way of story telling.

All i was thinking while trying to get the reflections right was... hm.. thats one way to tell a story. Good job! I wish i could move around faster though.

Developer

Thank you very much for your feedback and glad you enjoyed the cutscenes :)
I originally tried to make it faster but there was less control. Maybe I'll find a way to fix it someday

Love this one a lot! Interesting and minimal, and I was surprised at the execution of story branches. Fun to see the repeat puzzles on both sides and how they end up being used differently. Great stuff!

Developer(+1)

Thanks! It's great to hear you enjoyed the story as much as my lil bro and I did when we created it
