great game!! definitely feel like the speed for the commands was slow enough for me to compute the right commands but made gameplay progression really slow. i wonder if pressing and holding space for clearing the commands would be a more useful thing because if i accidentally rotate in the wrong direction, i find that i have to reinput all of my commands all over again which can be a bit frustrating.
Thank you so much for playing my game and for your feedback! 😊 I'm glad you enjoyed it.
I understand your point about clearing commands. I actually tried to avoid having to clear everything every time. My intention was to make the menu accessible with a long press. Maybe I can find a better solution in a future update that addresses both aspects. Your suggestion is super helpful – thank you for sharing it! 🙏
everything is fine but in my opinion it would be worth trying to do it again with the mouse...because the one button gameplay is a disservice to the game
Great game idea and implementation. My only complaint is that it actually suffers a bit under the one button premise because it takes attention from the actual command planning and focuses on the moving pointer. This game would be great to turn into a post jam with more suitable controls.
Thank you so much for your feedback and critique! Honestly, I think you’re absolutely right – I also found it challenging at times to balance planning the moves and keeping track of the pointer. I thought it was just me being too slow! The one-button restriction was an interesting experiment, but I can see how it takes attention away from the core strategy. I really like your idea of a post-jam version with more suitable controls – definitely something to think about! Thanks again for playing and sharing your thoughts!
Very satisfying to fill the entire board with moves and watch the whole thing play out. The spiders were a neat way to encourage planning a longer run.
The idea of providing preset moves that have to be planned around, and restricted planning the rotation was great. My only complaint is that there was only one level taking advantage of it.
Thank you so much for your kind words and for playing! 😊 I'm really glad you enjoyed the game and especially liked the idea of preset moves and restricted rotations—that was my favorite part to design, too!
I totally hear you about there being only one level like that. Honestly, I ran out of time to create more levels during development, but it’s awesome to hear that this aspect resonated with you. It really motivates me to explore it further in future projects!
Did have a little difficulty to understand the Left and Right Turn, but when overcome, the puzzle part was really nice.
You could probably have improve the "tutorial", by implementing the different one by one over the courses of multiple level instead of giving a solution, but that was a nice way to put it.
Thank you so much for playing and for your feedback! 😊 I'm really glad you enjoyed the game and had fun with the puzzle part.
I have to admit, I'm not the best at creating in-game tutorials, and I totally agree that the explanation in the game could be improved. Your idea of introducing mechanics gradually over multiple levels is a great suggestion—I'll definitely keep that in mind for future projects.
Thanks again for your kind words and encouragement! It really means a lot. ❤️
