I think this idea has a lot of potential. Despite the falling through the floor bug and the janky camera, I really had fun timing my movement to get to the elevator. Also, I felt like the enemy had too much of an advantage since he was able to go through walls, but was a good motivator to keep moving. The animation on the character was good too (I liked the little recovery in the arms when he landed from a jump). Nice job :)

Developer

Thanks! my day job is an animator so I didn't wanna just use motion capture from mixamo, I wanted to keep it true to the era and have jenky hand animation. Yeah I'm not exactly sure why He falls through the floor or why the eyeball dude sometimes ignores collision. Hes on block all. I think it's something to do with the psfx pack but can't be sure.

I survived! it could be a full game, maybe use the "Vertigo" has a skill, but remove the falling from the stage feature.

Developer

Yeah true, I did have a lot of fun making the levels, might have to revisit the idea.

Really cool and trippy game idea, couple of times got ejected from the level, but still had fun :D

Developer(+1)

Haha I'm glad you enjoyes it. That last level is annoying as hell for falling through the floor.
I really liked your game by the way, v fun

reminds me of a spooky SCP. Very interesting concept. Would love to see more with what you can do with the idea. It would be interesting to see like some sort of dash mechanic and maybe a faster eyeball chasing you with some hidden lore around. great job!

Developer (1 edit) (+1)

Thanks! a dash action would be good,  Yeah  the lore would be cool,  I'm might check some creepy pastas out for inspo. I'll probably make a version 2 and fix the bugs and add that stuff. Thanks for playing :)

Also I played your game and it was awesome, Y'all nailed it!

Love it! ^^ that thing combined with the setting is so creepy especially the first time I saw it made my spine crawl haha. Had a lot of fun beating it, the level designs are well thought out.
Might just be me but I did fall out of the world on the last level a few times, right in that last room with the elevator, but it never happened anywhere else ^^ well made! :)

Thanks man, I'm glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah I don't know what it is but when you hit a plane on an angle it'd clip through.

I just played your game! it was so good! What were your refernces for the game, such a cool idea.

Submitted(+1)

thanks! ^^ the inspirations were Wipeout and Rollcage, 2 game franchises I played endlessly in the 90s haha. Rollcage stage 2 is one of my all time favourites

Developer(+1)

Yes!!!! I remember always hiring it a the video store as a kid, I wasn't any good at is haha. I think I played wipeout once before.
You nailed it!

This game was super fun. As the other guy mentioned this feels a lot like The Matrix, really cool concept. I enjoyed it a lot.

Developer

Thanks! I really enjoyed just making the little levels, It was a lot funner than making my previous game haha.

Super duper friggen loved this one! Felt like a 90's movie tie in game and really reminded me of The Matrix and that one scene from Inception. Dodging the monster flinging from wall to wall felt super cool, like I was in an action movie!!! Graphically it was nearly perfect, looked almost exactly like a game from the era! Only thing I would do is add a few more monster sounds. Great game and best of luck to ya!

Developer(+1)

Thatnk dude! Yeah I took inspo from both those movies! haha the monster was a last minute idea, originally it was just 'get to the elevator while the world is spinning' but that got boring fast haha. Yeah I wish I teamed up with someone who knows sound design. I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm gonna play your game when I finish work!
