Love the graphics! The gun animations and movement feel smooth and polished. The combat feels a bit clunky, as enemies will snap to you and instantly start shooting the moment you alert them. Even if you hit them from behind, they are still able to shoot a volley of bullets  at you before you bring them down.

It would be nice if headshots dealt extra damage. That would encourage players to use the Golden Eye 64 style aiming system more, and reward them for being more precise with their aiming. Another way to make the combat more satisfying would be to add in sound effects for when enemies take damage and/or die.

Nice work!

Thanks :)
The combat was rushed and definitely deserves a re-work. Thanks for the suggestions too, really good ideas. I will try to update the game in the near future!

I liked the concept a lot, the aim was a bit weird for me but it was still enjoyable

I can see the GoldenEye 64 inspiration in this. I think its really well done. I didnt realize there was multiple endings until I read the description on the game page. I think it would be a neat addition to add a ending screen telling you which ending you got!

Not sure if it was intended or a left over debug feature, but i found that pressing left control damaged me.

Developer(+1)

Thanks :) Yup I wanted to do an end screen showing the time and the ending the player got, plus add a checklist in the menu so the player can track their progress but I ran out of mental capacity. I will most likely update the game, fix some stuff and definitely implement all that. Also yeah I used L_CTRL to test the damage, may or may not have forgotten to remove it from the build :S

haha all good. i do the same thing all the time :p

I suck at fps games but this game is cool.  Although I think the enemies are too accurate, but maybe it's just me.

Developer

Thanks, I tried to make the enemies challenging but at the same time not too difficult (random bullet spread), might try a different method next time..

007 vibes for sure. The guns seemed a little too high detail, and the enemies are able to see me before I can see them, which is a little unfair, so accurate to the period.

Developer

Thank you. Yup I got carried away with modelling the weapon (kind of my specialty). The enemmy spotting was simply done with Linecast to save time, but definitely requires a re-work.

You always have to make choices as to what to focus on and what you can achieve when you are doing a jam. I think you did a great job of focusing on what was important overall though.

That was fun! shooting was well polished

Nice that was a cool game, felt like an old James Bond Movie!

Developer(+1)

Thanks, thats exactly what I was going for :)

Cool game

The graphics on this are spot on, the shooting mechanics where really cool too, it got a little bit to get used to moving the camera or the gun, but after a couple of tries the gameplay got quite fun.

Developer(+1)

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it :)

Hell yeah golden eye baybee \o/ my score

I encountered a funny bug where my guy flipped completely upside down ^^ and all the controls went backwards too haha

Developer(+1)

Thats a pretty good time!
Yeah apoliogies for the bug, kind of forgot to clamp the player's mouseY rotation...  :S

Super fun and suprisingly polished little game. Good work with this!

Thank you! :)

I enjoyed this quite a bit. The shooting was satisfying, especially the effects on the environment. The only qualm I had was with the enemy placement, but once I got used to it I had a lot of fun. Great work!

Thank you. The enemy placement was quite rushed, I will probably try to update the game in the near future.

Really fun game. Reminded me of the original Half Life. The game is also just the right amount of difficult to be challenging but not frustrating. Good job

Thank you :)

Super fun game! The aiming system really reminded me of classic Medal of Honor games! The fact that when you shoot the environment stuff will break felt like something a game studio back in the day would've been super proud of! Infact the entire submarine felt great! Great game!

Thank you :)

Very good, it looks like a deeper gameplay of Golden Eye 007, the ability to shoot from around the corner due to the fact that the weapon is not in the eyes, but physically in the weapon itself, which can be rotated, brings the game closer to the possibilities of virtual reality.

Developer

Thanks :)
Yup, I was very inspired by GoldenEye007! Shooting around the corners was not an intentional feature but was fun so decided to keep it in. I was also planning on perhaps re-making the project with a more up to date look and feel, vr would also be an interesting idea.
