- I love that this game is made with one map and one event, it just shows how adept you are with the engine. The game was smooth and flawless from start to finish and felt well balanced. It's a great little game from an amazing person.

I wasn't too into the story and the main characters' standard "Attack" command is useless, but I gotta say: this game inspired me to make my own boss rush! That has to count for something.
The "hard" mode was surprisingly fair despite the lack of testing; play smart and you can win! I beat it on my first try. 😎
Well balanced combat, nothing took too long but never felt too easy. A good balance of skills and characters and you even managed to squeeze in a tiny bit of game play. What more could one ask for in a boss rush? The action sequences in combat were well done too, never let combat get too dull.
Fast paced, slightly tactical. I should try again on Hardcore mode and see how it differs. It's nice to see some dedication to cool action sequences too. Not many examples of cool looking attacks in this jam so far. I enjoyed the D&D narration style too. A nice way to skip complicated eventing, but achieves the same purpose.
Haven't played many boss rushes but this was enjoyable. I will try to learn from the balance and feel for use in working on my battle system/fighting skill/animation stuff and things:)
Those are some of my worst/ unskilled areas of rpg maker.
Took my breakfast in front of that title screen. Is that a judging criteria? No? Shame.
Joke aside, I finished the game in hardcore, first try and blind. (I'm no stranger to difficulty in RPG Maker games.)
Don't ask me why, but the story felt more like a D&D campaign than a RPG Maker game to me. So, to me, that's fairly original and I enjoyed it.
For creativity, this is a boss rush, so we're going to judge the creativity of said boss fights. To be honest, they are not ground-breaking of originality. The final boss though is fairly interesting, but maybe I'm biased because I always liked the design of the Garuda from RPG Maker MV's RTP.
Now gameplay: this is pretty much as basic as you can get. Cast your best abilities and stay alive. However, we can appreciate the work put on the skills and the enemies are doing the work to keep you entertained during your journey. So as long as the player have fun, this is on the good side of the spectrum. Also, that's pretty minor, but I noticed state showing up on enemies during some attacks with a turn count, which is kind of strange considering they disappear right after.
In the end, I liked it. It does what a game is supposed to do. And congratulations on your challenge to do everything on a single map, we truly feel like we're visiting different locations despite maybe a few graphical problems here and there during intermissions.
Anyway, it looks like I keep pointing out problems, but I still like what you've done there and I hope to see more and better from you in the future! ^^
bro you named your party after classes in wakfu
I used to play this game XD
tho the first dude is more like iop
Yep. But I didn't knew that, and when I realized it was too late so no choice but to keep it. ^^;
I watched this a million times on stream and I never saw the 3 vampire fight. weird. Fun to play but not much of a surprise since we know what skills and enemies were fighting. (except those damn vampires, I swear those were not on the dev stream =P =P =P )
[I played the game on Normal difficulty]
Pretty fun, it was interesting seeing a game that uses the battlebacks to stand in for maps.
The skills felt nice to use, particularly Wild Strike and the 100 TP skills. it also felt nice to get a crit on an enemy and see their health bar significantly decrease.
The story is simple, but it seems that most of the work went towards the combat and the creative use of Harold sprites and sound effects so that's understandable.
