Cool space shooter! The ambience is on point and the enemies are very threatening. I think I would find the game a bit more fun if the controls weren't oriented in the ship's facing direction, though. It seems a bit like difficulty at the cost of flow. The small hitboxes of the very accurately-firing enemies are plenty difficult to deal with, I reckon!

In any case, I had a good time with this game. Thanks for make! And thanks for the elaborate feedback on everyone's pages.

Hi Enji, Happy to hear you enjoyed the general mood/art direction of the game and that you enjoyed playing it.

Increasing the hitbox sizes of enemies is a good idea. It can be very hard to hit enemies when you are both moving.

On the point about controls (not using mouse to control ship direction), I would actually disagree. I have found in testing that the ship is very clunky to move when not using the mouse, and it is almost impossible to aim or control the ships rotation with any degree of precision.

Finally, I'm glad you appreciate the detailed feedback I leave. I hope you found it useful. Thank you for your in depth suggestions too 🙂.

Fun little space shooter that is right in my wheelhouse since I love Endless Sky. It has a much harder learning slope than most of these kinds of games and enemies come in fast! I wanted more breathing room to explore the world and get my ship the way I wanted since even the little enemies were pretty lethal to me as a newbie.

Hey, thanks for the feedback!

The balance of the game is off, I agree. I'll be looking into making the game feel more fair and balanced when I release a post-Jam update.

Cool game! This game has a nice vibe  and there are a lot of cool features like the targeting, the mini map and the world map. I especially like how the enemies seem to retreat when they take enough damage

Developer

Hey r0ckems0ckem, pleased to hear that you liked the navigation and combat features I added to the game.

You are quite correct that enemies retreat when they are low health, it was a little feature I added ;)

I love the combat, it's pretty skill intensive and you have to learn to shoot in the moving direction. I have not managed to get to the shop though :( My suggestion would be make the shop closer to player. The art was very pleasant to watch.

Thank you for the feedback. Happy to hear you enjoyed the combat and art.

You make a good point that shops are too far from the player. I think that is one of the key areas where the game needs more tweaking/balancing.

Very cool game. I got a bit too preoccupied blasting asteroids and before I knew it I was getting swarmed by too many enemies for me to handle XnX

Developer

Glad you enjoyed it!

Those pesky enemies sure can sneak up on you if you stay in one place for too long ;)

I liked the upgrading of the ship and the general freedom of action. The generation of the world and the atmosphere of the game are also very cool.

But for me the balance of enemies is a bit bad, as there is almost no reward from killing them (because you get less money from them than from asteroids). Also very easy to fly away from the enemies on the boost.

Hi, thank you for the feedback!

I'm glad you liked the open world and player ship mechanics.

I definitely agree with your comments on the balance of the enemies. I will work on making killing enemies more worthwhile, and balancing how easy it should be to run away from enemies.
