Hey. Wow. Crazy atmostphere. I loved finally discovering the Christmas tree - super surreal! The lighting and the flickering is really well done. And the getting up from the floor, and it was also fun to get animations for all the different actions. And that's one heck of a ghost of Christmas past/future that comes through the door! Thanks.
This was a really cool concept, reminded me of a novella I've often gone back to called "The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect". Great use of unsettling visual effects, I love the idea that this is how she chooses to present herself and her world. I'd love to see another game in this world that explored other people's realities.
Thanks Ben! I loved that short story and this is heavily inspired by it. A dream project would be to build out a whole anthology of vignettes in that universe.
Right after I finished playing, itch.io went down... so I guess the virus was effective! Playing really felt like a brief glympse into some horrific future that doesn't seem as far fetched today as it once did! Loved the aesthetic and I think the character of Frank added a lot to the story too.
I agree. Frank was really interesting because in the end well. He was who we was and it was horrifying. It makes you wonder about his intentions when he gave her a permanent solution. He might just have been giving her permanent solutions over and over.
